Alex POV

Envy and I got deeper and deeper, going through a bunch of traps and nearly avoiding death many times.
When I get out of here my sister was gonna flip.

We finally got to a long hallway.
"I think we're finally close to the exit", Envy said.
" Thank God", I wheezed. We were both exhausted.

It made me a bit disappointed though.
I remember he wanted to be enemies as soon as we got out. I've kinda been having fun with him.
Maybe I could try convincing him again.

"Hey Envy?", I said.
" Yeah what?", Envy replied.
"Well, I was wondering, I know we agreed to do otherwise but maybe, when we get out that we don't have to be enemies", I explained.

Envy gave me a confused look.
" What the hell are you talking about?", he asked.
"Envy I don't like being your enemy. I know it sounds stupid but being down here with you, has been really fun", I stated.
Envy gave a glare.

" I don't care, you and I are still enemies and that's that", he scowled.
"But why? It doesn't have to be this way", I pointed out.
" Kid, just shut up will ya", Envy snapped.

"I won't", I said. Suddenly Envy's arm turned into a snake and wrapped around me around my waist.
"Stop it", he said.
" What?", I said confused.
"Stop the act. No one wants to be friends with a homunculus. So you drop the damn charade", he stated.
" But Envy-"
"Shut up!! Don't you have a sister, and friends? A whole organization right? You at least have them. You have people who care about you and actually give damn so don't you dare complain", Envy yelled.

My eyes widened.
" Envy, what about your Father?", I asked, already assuming the answer. Envy looked away, his hair covering his eyes. I grew worried.
"Envy?", I urged.

Envy looked back at me, his eyes full of rage and insanity with an evil smile across his lips.
" You know what, SCREW IT!! I'm gonna kill you right here right now. I don't care if that bastard rips me limb from limb. It'll be worth it", he cackled.

The snake arm moved itself up to my neck, squeezing hard.
"Envy(cough)stop", I begged. The head of the snake hissed at me.
" No what will it be, strangled to death, bitten to death?", he asked.

Then he turned his other arm into a blade.
"Or should I cut you into tiny pieces?", Envy asked. I had to do something. Fast.
I took my fox form and blazed at his feet. Envy yelped and dropped me. I got up and started to run.
" YOU BITCH!!", he yelled. I heard his feet stomp as he charged for me. I soon came across a large room that had all sorts of weapons and treasures. I hid behind a large boulder.
"Where are you Alex? I just wanna play a bit", he said creepily. I backed up a bit but stepped on a twig that snapped. Envy's face suddenly appeared.
" Gotcha", he said. He tried to catch me but I moved and dodged his attack. I kept running until I tripped.

I tried to get back up but my foot was stuck on a crack in the floor.
"Found you"
I jumped and looked up at Envy. He held a pistol in his hands.
"I finally get to kill you, once and for all", he stated. He pointed the gun at me. I clawed at the ground and got my foot free.
I stood up and got into battle stance.
" Well, I guess a good fight is the way to go", Envy stated. I froze. If I wanted to prove being his friend, now was the time.
I turned back into my human form and stood straight.

Envy gave a confused look.
"What are you doing? Get ready to fight already", he urged. I shook my head.
" No", I said flatly. Envy's eyes widened.
"W-What?", he stuttered.
" I don't wanna fight you. I believe I said that already. Envy what I want, is to be your friend", I said. Envy gritted his teeth and pointed the gun at me once again.

"If you wanna kill me, then do it. I won't fight you", I stated.
" Ha! You humans really are stupid", Envy chuckled. I closed my eyes, waiting for death to come. But it never did.
I waited another moment before opening my eyes. Envy didn't fire.

He stood there, with the armed hand shaking.
"Dammit!! Why can't I do it? Why the hell can't I shoot? You need to die so why?", he asked desperately. I walked up to him.

Carefully I lowered the hand down.
" Envy? Are you ok?", I asked concerned. Envy's hand dropped the gun. Then he fell to his knees. I knelt beside him.

"How long have you known the truth?", I asked.
" Not long", Envy replied.
"Then why did you continue working with them?", I asked.
" So I could kill you", he replied.
"Why did want to kill me so badly?", I asked.

Envy didn't answer. I thought hard, trying to figure it out. Then it hit me like a frying pan.
" You were jealous. I had people who cared, you're faked the love. You were jealous because of that", I said. Envy looked away.
"Am I right?", I asked.

Envy nodded.
" That bastard hates me, he used me like some pawn, and I pathetic enough to fall for his tricks", he stated. I tried to get a good look at him but his hair covered his face.

"No one wants care for a homunculus, not even their creators", he said weakly. Small droplets of water fell to the ground.
My eyes widened. Without thinking I tackled him into a hug.
" Envy that's not true. I care. What your Father did wasn't right. He doesn't know the huge mistake he made", I said.
"Alex...", Envy said.
" I promise with me, you'll never be neglected. I want to be able your friend", I stated.
I felt his arms wrap around me tight. My shoulder started to get damp.
"You p-promise?", Envy asked weakly. I smiled.
" Of course", I said.
"Envy, please...don't cry", I begged.
" Alex?", Envy said confused.
"Don't cry", I repeated. Envy pulled and wiped his eyes quickly then gave a small smile.
" Thanks Alex", he said. I stood up and held a hand to him.
"No problem friend, now lets get the hell outta here", I chimed. Envy chuckled and took my hand. I pulled him up. I looked at the gun and picked it up.
" I feeling Izaya might like this", I said. With that we continued our way out.
