Alex POV

We fell deeper and deeper until we finally hit the floor. The floor pieces shattered making a huge dust cloud form.

Envy and I coughed a bit and stood up. My legs hurt a bit but I wasn't badly injured.
I looked around and my eyes widened. It was the same dungeon that I saw in my vision.
This was crazy. I didn't think this would come so soon.

"Envy, where are we?", I asked.
" This must be Father's underground vault. I've only heard about it. I've never been here before. Its where he keeps his most prized possessions ", Envy explained.

" Why did he keep them in a dungeon?", I asked. Envy shrugged.
"How the hell would I know?", he snapped.
" Do you know if there's a way out?", I asked. Envy looked from where we fell.

"Well, we can't go back the way we came", he stated.
" So the exit must be deeper in the dungeon", I stated. Envy sighed.
"Most likely, but this place is littered with death traps", he said.

" So what do we do?", I asked.
"No idea", he replied flatly. I thought about this. This might be my chance to work with him.

" Envy, if you're up to it, I wanna make a deal", I stated. Envy looked at me curiously.
"I'm listening", he said.
" Well we both need to get outta here. If we work together we might be able to get out of here. What do you say?" , I said.

Envy gritted his teeth.
"Me? Work with you? Ha! Do you honestly think I would work with a damn human?", he mocked.
" Envy, do you really have any other choice?", I asked.
"I could just kill you now and save me some trouble", he stated. I gulped. I had to think of something.

" I thought you weren't allowed to kill me", I pointed out. Envy cursed and punched the floor. He closed his eyes and remained silent.
I watched him anxiously.
He seemed really deep in thought.

"Envy?", I said, worried of what he would do if I said anything. His eyes shot opened and glared at me.
He got up and walked to me.

" Okay then kid, we'll work together on getting out together. However, once we step foot out of this god damn dungeon, we're enemies again. Got it?", he threatened.
I nodded.
"Alright, let's get moving. We don't have all day", he stated. I smiled as I followed him.

Author POV

Gluttony sniffed the air and grinned.
" I smell them, they're coming", he chimed. Lust smiled wickedly.
"The fools. They have no idea the trap they walked into", she chuckled.

Alex POV

The first five minutes were nothing but awkward silence but eventually I broke it.
" Envy, I don't suppose your Father said anything on how far this goes did he?", I asked. Envy shook his head.
"Wish I knew, would certainly come in handy right now", he replied.

Soon we arrived at a large pit. I couldn't see a thing.
" Is there something down there?", I asked. Envy looked around and picked up a stick that was on the floor.

"You're the one with fire powers right? Light this up for me", he said. I blew a puff of fire onto the stick and he held over the pit.

Down below were a bunch of snakes crawling around. On the other side of the room was an door to the next room.
" How do we get across?", he asked. I thought about this for a moment.
"Ok, when I transform jump on my back", I said. I took my full fox form and looked at Envy.

" I can trust you right?", Envy asked. I nodded. He got on my back and held tightly on to my fur. I backed up a bit then ran at full speed.
As we got closer I could hear Envy panting hard.

"Kid, I don't think you're gonna make it", he said panicked. I jumped across, grabbing the cliff edge by just barely.
" This is exactly what happened last time", I thought to myself. I climbed us up and Envy got off me.
I took back my human form.

"How the hell did you leap that far?", he asked.
" That isn't the first time I've had to do that", I stated.
"Whatever, let's just keep moving", he said. As kept walking torches lit the way so we could finally see where we were going.

I gulped.
" I hope that Gabby and the others are doing ok", I quietly said to myself.
