Author's POV

*Flashback*

Its been a month since Magane and Ruruka met. Magane has never been so happy in her life. She's never had any friends before, and since she was an orphan, she never had anyone to care about her until Ruruka came along. Lately she and Ruruka had been doing great stealing from jewelry shops and other places. Right now the two of them we're at an ice cream shop having milkshakes.

"Man I can't wait for tonight's heist. We're heading to the bank right?" Magane said. Ruruka frowned, but put on a pleading face.

"Actually, I was hoping we could steal that diamond that's in the museum." she said. 

"Uh well, probably not a good idea. Those always have tighter security, plus I don't feel comfortable stealing big things like that." Magane said.

"Please darling!? It would make me very happy!" Ruruka said. Magane smirked.

"I know that face Ruruka, and it won't work on me. Nice try though." she said, then resumed to sipping on her milkshake. Ruruka frowned. That wasn't what she wanted to hear. This bitch had been a real pain to deal with, and now that she had enough skills to steal what she wants she refuses? Not happening. Oh well, plan b then. Ruruka put on another smile.

"Come with me for a moment." she said standing up. Magane looked at her confused but complied. The two of them walked down the block until they were in front of the museum. Magane looked at her friend.

"What are we doing here-" she was cut off with Ruruka shoving a red candy in her mouth. Magane chewed and swallowed it. Ruruka smirked and backed away. Magane blinked.

"Was that a new candy you made? What does it do-" Magane was cut off again with a pain in her head. Then her eyes glew red and she looked at the museum, bloodlust in her eyes.

"Oh you'll see sweetheart." were the last words Magane heard before her sanity was lost.......

*Flashback over*

Gabby's POV

I quickly got to my feet and looked at Magane with wide eyes.

"Magane wait, why are you doing this?" I said. Magane smiled.

"Gomenasai Gabby, but I'm just trying to entertain myself. And well, you and your friends have lost my interest. So I thought I could join your enemy and fight. That's all." Magane chimed. She held a peace sign.

"Peace yeah!" she said.

"No! I refuse to believe that!" I stated.

"Magane I'm with her on this one. Something's up. Tell us whats going on!" Ulric snapped. Magane frowned at him.

"Man your a whiny pup huh?" she said. She charged for Ulric and tried to swipe him with her dagger, but he just dodged. Erina hid behind a nearby rock. Ulric continued to dodged, then he tried to kick at her below. However Magane jumped over it and kicked him in the face. Ulric stumbled back and she tried to stab him, but he flew up to the air.

"Awe come on! That's cheating!" Magane said. I could hear her trying to sound like her normal peppy self, but I also her the nervous wavering tone in it. She was faking it. 

Meanwhile with Crona and Medusa, many arrows tried to struck him but he block each one. 

"You should know better than to challenge your own mother, Crona." Medusa said. Another arrow struck him in the shoulder. He winced as black blood spilled. He swung his shoulder, swinging the arrow and many drops of his blood into the air, surrounding Medusa.

"Bloody Needle!" Crona cried. All the droplets of black blood sharpened into big needles, and tried to stab Medusa. However a force field block them. She had enough time to fly away, but then Ulric flew up to her and kicked her off her broom. Medusa hissed in pain and landed on one of the skinnier ledges. Ulric was gonna charge but Magane got in front of her.

"You won't hurt her!" Magane said.

"Yes I will, but not if your in the way!" Ulric said. He kicked her away. Magane smirked and snapped her fingers.

"A lie about a lie. It turns inside out on itself." she said. Ulric tried to kick Medusa, but Medusa didn't stumble. Didn't budge. Didn't move. Ulric's eyes widened.

"What the- oh crap I fell for her damn trick!" he snapped. Medusa's tattoo started to slither off and a snake appeared. The snake hissed and lunged for him, wrapping him tightly in its body. Ulric struggled to get out, but he was stuck. 

"Dammit..." he muttered. Crona quickly came to help, as did I.

"Hold on we're coming!" I said. Crona got there first and tried to stab the snakes head with his sword, but Magane got in front of him and kicked him  away. He yelped as he rolled off and almost fell over into the pool, but he grabbed the edge just barely. 

"Crona!" I said. Medusa chuckled.

"I wouldn't want to go in there if I were you. That water is freezing. Chances are you couldn't survive more than two or three minutes in that water." she said. Crona struggled to get up but Magane stepped on his hand. He winced in pain.

"Sorry Crona, but why don't you take a dip?" Magane said. I went over to her and pushed her away, then helped Crona up. Then I transformed into my wolf form and went to that snake, biting into its neck. It cried out in pain, its body loosening. Ulric crawled out, grabbed the head, and snapped its neck for good. I transformed into my half form.

"Guys listen. I'll handle Magane, you two handle Medusa." I said. 

"But I can't touch her now! I can't fight her." Ulric said. 

"Then fight us!" said a voice. I looked over to see Altair and a giant green Envy ready to fight. My eyes widened.

"What did you do to our other friends?!" I yelled.

"They have been dealt with. Now get ready!" Altair said. Envy roared at us.

"I've got them, go." Ulric said, flying down to Altair and Envy. Crona charged for his mother.

"Oh no you don't!" Magane said. She tried to go after Crona but I kicked her away onto another ledge. Then I leaped over to her.

"If you wanna touch my friends, you'll have to go through me first." I said. Magane frowned at me.

"Fine." she said. She charged for me. She tried over and over to kick and punch me, but I blocked with my scythe. However she was really fast. Soon she kicked my scythe out of my hands and onto another ledge. I looked at Magane.

"Magane, whats gotten into you?!" I snapped.

"What do you mean? I already told you I-" 

"Don't say its all for entertainment cause that's a god damn lie!" I snapped. Magane glared at me.

"Why can't you understand? People aren't always how they seem. They could seem sweet as candy then stab you in the back later!" Magane shouted. She charged for me and tried to swipe at me but I dodged.

"This is who I am Gabby! Deal with it!" she snapped.

"No its not!" I snapped, snatching the dagger out of her hands. She looked at me surprised.

"Are you doing this against your will? Tell me!" I said. Magane only scowled.

"Magane ignore her! Don't stop!" Ruruka said above in a demanding tone. Magane froze at her voice, then she bit her lip. It started to hit me.

"Magane, what did Ruruka do to you? Why are you following her orders?" I asked.

"Shut up!" Magane snapped. She charged again and threw some punches at me. I didn't fight back, I only blocked.

"What did Ruruka do? Was it something in the past? Magane please I only want to help!" I stated.

"I said shut up!" Magane snapped, kicking into the wall, hard. I cried out in pain and collapsed onto the ground.

"Stop trying to think you can understand me, because you won't, and never will!" Magane snapped, kicked my head. I winced as blood ran down the right side of my face. 

"Did Ruruka......hurt you?" I asked. Magane froze when I said that. Then her eyes were full of pure rage.

"SHUT UUUUUUUUP!" she shrieked. She grabbed her dagger and was about to bring it down on me.

"Magane no!" Altair called. 

"Gabby!" Ulric and Crona called out. Magane was about to stab me, but I rolled away, transformed into my wolf form and pounced on top of her. Magane looked at me with wide eyes as I looked down at her with my blue glowing ones. She turned her head away, probably awaiting death. Everyone stopped their battles and awaited my next move. I transformed out of my wolf form and pulled both of us to our feet. Magane froze when I hugged her.

"Gabby...." she said.

"Magane, your my friend. I wanna help. I guess you don't have to tell me whats wrong, but don't follow these jerks. Come with us instead, your true friends." I said. When I pulled away Magane looked at me with wide eyes. I smiled. Altair frowned at us.

"We've lost her...." she said. A sword floated up and pointed right at Magane.

"She's no longer needed." she said. The sword came straight for Magane.

"Look out!" Crona cried Magane and I noticed the sword. I quickly pushed Magane away and the sword stabbed through my shoulder. I cried out in pain. Then I stumbled back and fell off the ledge. Magane tried to catch my hand but I fell. And fell. And fell. Until I was in the water. I wanted to swim up but my shoulder hurt too much, and it was so cold. I watched as my blood mixed with the cold blue liquid.

Was I gonna die here? Like this? No.....I couldn't breathe soon.....

Then I saw a shadow swim down to me, scoop me up, and fly us back up to the surface. I was layed onto the ground, surrounded by Ulric, Crona and Magane.

"Gabby! Gabby are you okay?" Magane said panicked.

"Magane...." I said quietly.

"Hold on Gabby, it won't be long until the other arrive. Then we can escape." Ulric said.

"Just hang on!" Crona said.

"Can't....stay awake..." I said weakly. My eyes started to drift shut. I felt the sword pulled out of my shoulder, but that was it. 

And the last thing I saw before I passed out was Magane's teary eyes.
