Chapter 3- Mama Bear? No, Mama Dragon!

"Hey! Sprinkler! How could you think you can be a hero with a water quirk that only sprays water? I also though you hated heroes?" A kid taller than Kota pushed him back. Another day of this torment from this kid, and Kota always tries to ignore him.

"Leave me alone! I changed my mind about heroes! Now I want to become one so I could be like my hero!" Kota argued, glaring at the kid.
"Who? Your aunt? Oh please, just because she's a hero, doesn't mean you could be! What are you gonna do with do anyways? Spray them with a water bottle?" He smirked.

Other kids watched and some giggled, making Kota's face heat up in anger and embarrassment.
"You better stop! Or I'll-"
"You'll do what sprinkler?" The kid threatened with his quirk, which made his hand morph into a knife. Kota took a step back for a second in fear, but remembered about what you said.

"I'll make sure you'll remember that no matter what quirk I have or bad memories I had about heroes, anyone can be one because of that one special person in life! Not like you have someone!" Kota shouted at the kid. Other kids covered their mouths and ooh'ed. The bigger kid stared at him in shock, then scowled.

"Why you-" He pushed Kota to the ground as the other kids started to shout and chant about fighting.
"You think you can tell me that? If that's the case, who's your special person sprinkler?" The kid raised his knife hand to attack him, and Kota was scooting away scared and covered himself, but nothing happened.

Kota was confused and looked up to see the kid frozen in fear, face paled and looking behind Kota.
The other kids also stopped chanting and were also staring behind Kota, a large shadow covering him. He looked behind him and saw you, in your dragon form and glaring at the kids.

You were scowling, showing your teeth as you picked up your kid to put him on your back.
Kota then grinned and looked at the kid with his hand on his hips, standing up proudly.
"This is my special person! And if you ever mess with me again, then you'll feel the wrath of my mama! Mama Dragon!" He said with a big grin on his face as you made a loud roar.

The kid fell back and scrambled back to run away, other kids did too. You huffed out, smoke came through your nose as Kota cheered. You changed into your human form as Kota was piggybacking on you now.

"That was awesome mama! You really scared that kid off! Now he won't even think twice when messing with me!" He said with a smile. You gave a chuckled and pulled him around so you can hug him.
"I may have been allowed to do that, but no one is ever going to push my little hero like that," You told him.

He smiled, but then frown and looked down.
"What's wrong? ?" You asked him a little worried.
"It's just... my mama and papa used to help me when I was bullied, saying that they'll be there when I get hurt..." He mumbled with tears, hugging you tightly. You softly lifted his chin up to you, and you kissed his forehead.

"Just because I'm your new mama, doesn't mean I'm replacing them. I know how it feels to no longer have your parents be there when you need help, but it's what I said before. You shouldn't use a bad memory to hold you back, but use it as one more step closer to who you want to become, because it'll make you stronger if you face it," You explained.

Kota wiped his tears away and smiled at you.
"Thank you mama," He said. You chuckled and walked away with him in your arms.
"So, who's this special person that makes you want to be a hero?" You asked him, making his laugh a little.

"Guess," He said.
"Hmmm, Mandalay?" He shrugged and smiled.
"Here, let me think... Eraserhead?" You guessed.
"Nope! I'll give you a hint, she is the best hero ever!" He said with his arms out.
"Recovery girl!" You joked, nuzzling his head.

"No! It's you! You are the special person! Because you are awesome, and a great mama," He said, laying his head against you. You sighed softly and looked off into the distance.

"I'm such a good mom,"
