Lucy P.O.V
Everything was calm. Everything was quiet. The demons had disappeared, a long with Lisanna. The Devil turned into shining red dust and blew away into the full moon. Wendy and the others rejoiced as the dust blew away, finally relieved that everything was over. But there was one thing I couldn't keep my eyes off.
Natsu's body.
He layed there motionless instead of just shaking things off. I crawled to over his side and began to shake his shoulders. "Natsu?"
Wendy and the others noticed Natsu and I and gasped. I could hear Wendy weeping, Gajeel screaming, and Happy's silent sorrow. "Oh Natsu, please wake up." I begged.
"Lucy..." Gajeel said suddenly. He tried to pull me away, but I pushed him away. "I'm not going away from him."
"Lucy, we have to go." Wendy sniffed.
"NO!" I screetched, my eyes stinging with tears. "I'M NOT LEAVING HIM!" I heard several footsteps and turned to see all of Fairy Tail behind us. Master, who was in the very front, walked up to me, a single tear falling down his face. "Lucy. Let the man sleep." He said, his face filled with depression.
"No! I won't leave him!" I screamed. My tears fell to Natsu's face, and I could hear the little splashes it made. Suddenly, Elfman picked me up, and we began walking away. "PUT ME DOWN!" I cried.
They ignored me.
"I SAID PUT ME DOWN!" I screamed.
But they continued carry me back to Fairy Tail by force. I screamed and kicked, but no matter how hard I tried, they wouldn't let me go. How could they do this! My true love had just died for us, and they're keeping him away from him!
One Week Later
It's been one week since Natsu had died. And ever since that night, I haven't left my apartment. All I did was continue to look at pictures of Natsu and me. I could no longer shed tears, because my eyes were now out of tears to be shed. My friends have tried to get me out of my apartment, bribing me with delicious food, clothes, and books.
But none of that worked.
I suddenly got a knock at the door. I opened it to see that it was Master in a black suit. "I'm not coming out." I said with a dull voice.
"Not even for Natsu's funeral?" He asked. This made me frozen stiff. The word "funeral" was not a word I liked. "Please, Lucy. Do it for Natsu." Master begged.
I was silent for a minute. I thought about Natsu lying cold dead in a casket, his tan skin now pale. I shuddered and said, "Fine. I'll go."
Master smiled slightly. "Thank you."
I wore a short black dress that had long black sleeves. The only thing I could hear was the sound of crying, plus the sound of my heels hitting the ground. I looked to my left to see the girls weeping. Levy noticed me and walked up to me. "Oh, Lucy." She weeped. I could feel a tear trickle down my face and hugged Levy-chan. "I'm so sorry."
On the otherside, the men were standing in a proud form, soluting to Natsu's casket. I walked up to Natsu's black and gold casket and looked down. His hair was the way it usually was : pink and soiked us, and he wore a black suit. Using a spell, they were able to keep Natsu in fresh condition, almost as if he wasn't dead at all. I grabbed his hand and kissed it gently. "I miss you so much." I whispered.
When the service started, I sat in the very front with Master and Mirajane. The priest gave us words of wisdom, and we all let out tears of sorrow. I cried on Mirajane's shoulder, and she patted my back as she cried as well.
But when they were just about to close the casket, a bright light appeared from above. At first, I thought it was God himself, but then I realized that it wasn't a man, but a woman.
A very familiar woman.
"Okaa-san?" I said, my voice craked from crying.
"Yes, dear. It's me." She said with a shining bright smile.
"W-What are you doing here?" I asked.
"To say my final farewell." She told me.
My heart sank, which I didn't even know was possible anymore. "W-W-What do you mean final farewell! Are you dead!"
"No my dear. Someone has to watch the heavens above. That has to be me. I am now the Goddess of Life!"
"G-Goddess!" I exclaimed
"Yes my dear, a goddess." She said with a smile.
I nearly fainted, but luckily Mirajane was by my side, holding me tightly. "But before I go, I have a little present to give you." She said.
"A present?" I said, confused.
"Yes, a present. And I think you'll enjoy this present." My mother said with a mischevious smile. She flew to Natsu's casket and gently blew blue dust on his body. She flew by my side and said, "After I disappear, count to three."
I nodded.
She suddenly gave me a gentle hug and whispered, "Good bye, daughter."
"Good bye, Okaa-san." I whispered, a tear rolling down and touching my mother's beautiful white robe. She let me go, and disappeared within a blink of an eye. I took a deep breathe and did what my mother told me to do. "One..." I began.
"Lucy, what are you doing?" Master asked.
"Two.." I continued.
"Lucy?" Juvia asked.
"Three!" I finished. Suddenly, a bright and shining blue light appeared from Natus's casket. Everyone gasped as Natsu began to float in the air. The blue light turned green, then red, then yellow. Finally, the light dimmed, and Natus' body was lowered back into the Casket.
What the hell was that, I thought.
Suddenly, I saw somthing so uterly impossible, that I fell to the ground.
Natsu's body was moving.
He sat up straight and did a little yawn, just like he does when he wakes up from a nap. He looked at us with wide eyes, and then he looked at his hands and body. "I'm....alive?" He spoke.
"NATSU!" Everyone exclaimed. They all came rushing past me and to the living Natsu, hugging him and crying. I still couldn't process what had just happened, so I just sat there like an idiot. Natsu was smiling brightly.
THen our eyes met.
I know it's silly to act shy, since he was my boyfriend, but I really didn't know how to react. He stepped out of the casket and walked past the members of Fairy Tail. He croutched down by my side and placed his hand on my cheek. "I'm back, Lucy."
Tears swelled up my eyes and I smiled brightly. "Welcome back!."
And with that, he placed his warm lips on mine and held me tightly. Everyone cheered and came rushing towards us, hugging, cheering, and shrieking in excitment. For the first time in forever, Fairy Tail had a reason to celebrate.
At night, Lucy's Apartment
After the party, Natsu insisted on staying at my apartment. I still don't know why I was so nervous, but my heart just kept on pounding at the sight of him. I jumped onto my bed and sighed. "Tired already?" Natsu asked.
"What do you mean 'already'! Because of you, I was an emotional roller coaster!" I defended myself. Natsu layed down on my bed beside me, holding me. He gently kissed my forehead, and for about five minutes, we just layed there in silence. But then I blurted out, "What was it like?"
"What was what like?" He asked me.
Damn it! Why did I ask him that question, I scorned in my head. "What was it like to......be dead."
He was silent for a minute and avoided my eyes. "It's alright if you don't want to tell me." I said silently.
"Lonley." He suddenly said. "It was very lonley." He held me tightly, and whispered, "I never want to leave you again."
"And I don't want to leave you either." I said to him. His golden brown eyes mesmorized me so much, that I was the one who made the move. I kissed him passionatley, hoping that he would kiss me back instead of letting me die of embarrasment. Luckily, he did, but with more intensity, like he didn't even want me to breathe. His kiss lowered from my lips to my neck, and slowly he began to un-zip my dress. I moaned and layed there motionless, having no feeling to move. "I love you." Natsu breathed.
"I love you too." I whispered back.
And with that, I turned off my lamp, and Natsu and I made love like it was our first. He kept whispering my name, and I did the same to him. He filled up my body with so much love that I needed.
The kiss.
The touch.
The rush.
It was too much. But I didn't care. I was with the man I loved, and that's all that mattered.
