Lucy P.O.V
After Isamu tended my wounds, I put on a blue and white stripped kimono and decided to take a little stroll around the town. It was very old fashioned, which made it kind of cute. Little kids played with a bouncy ball instead of using magical toys, the women were talking to each other instead of through telepathy, and the old men were out fishing on the decks. I had to admit, it was kind of lonely. As I walked, I bumped into a girl my age and fell on the ground. "I'm so sorry!" She apologized.
"Nah, it's alright." I assured her with a smile. But when I looked up, there was something familiar about her face. She had a blue eye on her right, and a hazel eye on her left. She had long auburn hair and looked very thin. She wore a pink and purple flowered kimono. Them, a memory flicked inside my head. It was of me and a young girl who looked just like her, playing with our dolls. We giggled and laughed together, as if we were best friends. I remembered her name and said it outloud. "Asuna?" I asked her.
"Yeah, that's me. Who're you?" She asked me.
Excitement filled my body and I smiled wide. "Asuna, it's me, Atsuko!"
Her eyes went wide for a minute, and then they were filled with tears. "Atsuko?" She fell to her knees and hugged me tightly. "Where have you been!"
"Gone." That was all I could say. I've repeated my story a million times, so I could tell her later. "I've missed you so much."
"As did I! I thought that you were..." She said, not finishing that last word.
"Everyone thought I was." I patted her head, and she smiled.
"Come on! We have to tell the others!" Asuna said. She pulled me off the ground and we suddenly began to run. Others? There were more, I thought to myself. Then it hit me. Asuna wasn't the only one I hung out with, but two more as well. Two other boys, if I recall. We ran all the way to the creek to see two boys skipping rocks. One was tall, slim, tan and had dark blue hair. He wore jeans and a blue sweater. The other one was a cream colored, blonde boy who wore traditional Hinamizawa clothing. "Hey guys, look who I found!" Asuna called out.
The boys turned around and gazed at me with surprise. We finally stopped running and I began to gasp for air. "Asuna! you know I can't run that fast!" I exclaimed.
"You're still the same as ever." Asuna sighed.
"Is this...." The blue haired boy gasped.
"It couldn't be.." The blonde one gasped as well.
I looked at them closley, and their names popped into my mind, as if by magic. "Kirito?" I said, pointing to the blue haired boy. "Chiaki?" I pointed to the blonde haired boy.
The boys smiled brightly and suddenly gave me a big bear hug. "She's alive! The bug is alive!"
"I am not a bug!" I growled, remebering them calling me a bug.
"Yep, It's Atsuko alright." Kirito laughed.
"We've missed you so much!" Chiaki said, almost in tears.
I laughed softly. "My memories were ereased."
"How?" Asuna asked.
"My Oka-San did it for my protection." I explained.
"Well, as long as you're here, things can finally go back to normal! The four amigos!" Kirito laughed. Normal, huh. I thought to myself. I felt a hint of sorrow in my heart, but I let it pass. This was my new life now, and nothing was going to make it horrible. Suddenly, there was a scream from the center of the village. "What was that?" I wondered. I start to run to the source of the scream. "Atsuko! Where are you going!" Asuna called out.
But I ignored her calls. It was hard to run in a kimono, but I was able to be fast enough to see the event. There was a man, holding a knife on one hand a little girl on the other. The girl was crying like crazy, as was the mother. "Please! Let her go!" The mother cried.
"Never! Blood shall be spilled for the sake of the gods!" The man screamed with insanity.
Gods! He couldn't mean the six gods, could he, I thought in my head. I stepped forward and yelled, "Let her go!"
"Atsuko! What are you doing!" Isamu yelled, with my father behind him.
"Atsuko! Stop!" Asuna and the others warned me. I ignored them and yelled again, "Let the girl go!"
"Or else what? There's nothing a pure mortal could do!" He shrieked.
"Oh, you asked for it!" I closed my eyes and concentrated on my magic. I thought of the blood controlling spell and how to controll it. Finally, I chanted, "Blood Controll!" Through the movement of my hands, the man's hands did the exact same thing, almost like a mirror. "W-What is this!" He screamed.
"Atsuko?" Isamu's voice quivered with fear.
Through the force of my hands, I released the child from the man's clutch, and she ran to her mother. I threw my hand to the left, and the man went flying into the tree. I cancelled the magic and sighed. "Thank you! Oh thank you so much!" The mother weeped.
"Thank you, Onee-San." The little girl thanked.
I smiled. "You're welcome." They both ran to the house, leaving me with my brother, my father, and my childhood friends. They all had scared looks on their faces. "Atsuko, what was that?" My father asked me.
I frowned and looked away, but Isamu suddenly grabbed my shoulders. "Tell us, Atsuko!"
"I possess Okaa-San's dragon magic. I'm known as a Dragon Slayer." I said silently.
My father fell to the ground. "Magic? You can do magic?"
"Yeah, so? Why is such a shock for me to have magic?" I asked.
Suddenly, Asuna screams, "Watch out, Atsuko!"
I turn around to see the man right behind me, his knife in the air, ready to plunge in my body. I closed my eyes and shielded myself, awaiting the pain. But instead of feeling anything, I heard a familiar scream of agony. I open my eyes and gasp. I see a familiar pink-haired boy. The boy that filled my heart with joy, and then shattered it to a million pieces. "Fire Dragon's Roar!" He chanted. The boy spit out fire, burning the insane man. The man fled into the forest, his screams getting softer and softer. The pink-haired boy turned around, and our eyes met. "Lucy." He sighed.
"Natsu?" My voice shivered. I see that the knife was plunged into his chest, and he suddenly faints to the ground. A pool of blood suddenly begins to surround him. "Natsu!" I scream. "Quick, Isamu! Help him!"
"But this man is a stranger." Isamu said.
"I don't care! If you don't save this man, I will be furious!" I screamed, my tears burned within my eyes.
Natsu P.O.V
When I woke up, my chest started to hurt. I groaned and tried to sit up, but the pain was unbearable. I look around to see that I'm in a house. The house looked very old fashioned, considering I was on a matress on the ground instead of a bed. I look to my left to see Lucy sleeping by my side, her eyes red and puffy from crying. I chuckled softly and began to stroke her rosey cheeks. I'm back, Lucy I thought to myself. Suddenly, her eyes began to flutter open, and when her eyes meet mine, she sits up with shock. "You're awake." She said.
"Yup." I said awkwardly. It was silent for a minute, but hten Lucy asked, "How did you find me?"
"I read your note. The one you stuck on the tree." I told her.
"Oh." She said. Then, after a minute of thinking, her face turned cherry red. "Oh! You read the whole thing!"
I nodded, blushing a tiny bit. "Yeah, the whole thing."
We were silent once again. I knew what I had to do. "Lucy.....I'm sorry."
She looked at me with shock. "What?"
"I should've listened to you." I said. I could feel my guilt growing, and my tears fell down my eyes. "Because of me, you were hurt, both physically and emotionally. Because of me, you were driven from you're from you're friends and family. I know that you're probably furious wtih me but could you please-" Suddenly, I felt my whole body being comforted by a gentle hug. I look to see Lucy crying as well. She squeezed my body, but gentle enough to not hurt the wound. "Who said that I was ever mad." She whispered. I looked at her, and she gently smiled. I grabbed her face and smashed my lips into hers. I could see her eyes wide for a minute, but then they slowly close, and our love immediatley began to rekindle. I fell back, and Lucy fell on top of me. Our kiss was intense, passionate, or whatever the lovers say these days. We kissed for what seemed like forever, not even taking a breathe. "Natsu." Lucy would whisper in the middle of our kiss.
"Lucy." I would whisper back.
"Ahem!" Someone coughed. Lucy pulled away, and we both look to see that it was her brother, Isamy. "Um, was I interrupting something?"
"Oh, no!" Lucy exclaimed, her face as red as a cherry.
"Not at all." I stammered.
Isamu sighed. "Father would like to come in." Lucy nodded, and a middle age man came walking in. He looked at me, then Lucy, and then he sighed. "Atsuko, we need to talk." He said silently.
"About what?" Lucy asked.
"Your......magic." He said silently. "But first, who is this man?"
"Oh, this is Natsu Dragneel, my....." Lucy couldn't complete her sentence.
"I'm her boyfriend." I finished her sentence in confidence. Lucy looked at me and slightly smiled. The father, however, didn't looked pleased. "We kind of have the same magic." Lucy said silently.
The father suddenly jumped out of his chair. "So you're part......dragon?" He asked me.
"Dragon Slayers are those who were raised by dragons. I was raised by the Fire Dragon Igneel." I explained.
"Atsuko, having magical abilities in this village is dangerous." Isame said sternly.
"How?" I asked him.
"Magic here is being.....watched and patrolled." Lucy's father said.
Lucy looked at her father with confusion. "What do you mean?"
"This village is cursed by the six gods." Isamu said.
That caught my attention, making me wince at the pain of the stab wound. "Lucy." I said.
She nodded. "I know. That's what the crazy man meant when he said blood shall be spilled for the gods."
"You know of the gods?" Her father asked.
"We faught one together in Cilorthia, and then Lucy faught one by herself." I said, trying to forget the result of the battle.
"You've faught two of the six gods!" Isamu exclaimed.
"And won, if I may add." I said proudly. Lucy laughed a little, but her father was still in serious mode.
"Atsuko, there is something else I haven't told you either." Her father said silently, trying to avoid Lucy's eyes.
"What is it?" Lucy asked.
Her father looked at Isamu who left the room, trying to avoid tears. Lucy looked at me and held my hand. I squeezed it tight, waiting for the secret. "What is it Otou-San. What haven't you told me?" Lucy asked again, her voice starting to shake.
"Your mother didn't just disappear. She was.......taken." He said sadly.
Lucy's eyes went wide. She squeezed my hand as tears fell on her eyes. "By who?" She asked.
"....By the Six Gods." He said silently.
