Lucy P.O.V
I woke up to the sun light gently on my face. It felt so warm and gentle that I didn't want to get up, but it was too late to go back to sleep. I sat up, and i suddenly felt a deep cold feeling all over my chest. Why am I so cold? I thought to myself. But when I looked down to see that I wasn't wearing a shirt. Or pants. I quickly covered myself and began to panic. Why am I naked! I screamed in my head. But then I look to my left to see Natsu shirtless. I blueshed a solid red and slowly peeked under the sheet. He wasn't wearing pants either. What happened! I thought in my head. But then the memory of last night began to flood my head. I remembered the kisses, the touching, the passion, the pain. Natsu and I had....I don't want to say that word, so what was another word for it. Making Love? No, I didn't like the sound of that.
We became one.
Those were the perfect words. The words that expressed our love. Something not even him and Lisanna hadn't done. I smiled at the thought, and decided to rest a little more. Suddenly, Natsu grabbed me and dragged me down to him "Good morning." He whispered in my ear.
"Good morning." I smiled. He held me tightly, and I just rested on his muscular arm. "Last night was amazing." He said.
"It sure was." I sighed. Natsu moves me so that I'm facing him, and he kisses my softly. I kiss him back, loving the feeling of just being with him. He moves from my lips to my neck, his warm lips bringing satisfaction. "Natsu." I whispered. I look up and see the clock. It read two o'clock. I swooped up, nocking Natsu up. "Why are you getting up?" Natsu asked.
"Because it's already the afternoon! We shouldn't be staying in bed!" I exclaimed, grabbing my clothes off the ground.
"Aw, why not?" He pouted.
"Because!" I exclaimed. I ran to the bathroom and changed my clothes quickly. Instead of wearing one of my old kimonos, I decided to wear my blue and black mini skirt with my "I Love <3" shirt. When I got out of the bathroom, I see that Natsu was already changed into his usual black shorts, black vest, and white scarf given to him by Igneel. I go over to the mirror to do my hair, when Natsu wraps his arms around my waist. "Why even bother. You look beautiful either way." He sighed.
"Well of course you think that. You are my boyfriend, you're suppose to think that." I chuckled. As I brushed my hair, he continued on where we left off by continuing to kiss my neck. "Natsu.." I moaned, melting into his kisses. "We can't..."
He stopped, and gave me a mischevious smile. "Then I'll continue when you least expect it." I don't like the sound of that, I thought ot myself. After finally finishing my hair, we head out to see everything in a rush. Everyone was running everywhere, carrying decorations of all sorts. "What's going on?" I asked.
Asuna, who was carrying so much cloth that it wasn't even funny, looked over at me and exclaimed, "You're finally awake! Come on and help us!"
"Not until you tell us what's going on!" I exclaimed back.
"Tonight is one of the biggest festivals of the year! We're all getting ready, but we need some people to decorate the lake area." Asuna informed us.
"We can do that, if you want." Natsu offered.
Asuna smiled. "Thanks!" She gave us each two boxes and pointed us the direction to the lake. As we walked, my arms began to shake from all the weight. "Are you sure you can hold all that weight?" Natsu asked, who looked like he was holding nothing.
"Yeah." I assured him, my voice not that confident. When we finally reached the lake, I dropped the boxes on the dock and rested my arms. My arms were aching, as if I was arm wrestling wtih Elfman. "See. I told you I could carry them." I said with a smile.
"You are one tought girl." Natsu smiled. "So what do we do with all this stuff?"
I opened the boxes to see them filled with mini orbs. There was a note that only said five words :
Throw them in the water.
"I guess we just throw them into the water." I said. So one by one, we began to throw the mini orbs into the water. "This is kind of fun." I laughed.
"How?" Natsu asked.
I smirked at him and began to throw my orbs in style; I threw them behind my back, with my eyes closed, even hit Natsu in the head, which bounced off into the lake. "Ow!" Natsu said, rubbing his head.
"See. It is fun!" I laughed. Natsu soon laughed as well, and he soon began to do the same thing. After almost three hours of throwing the orbs, the sun began to set as we threw the last of the orbs. "Now that we're done, we should get ready." I told Natsu.
"For what? Can't we just wear this?" Natsu asked.
"No!" I gasped. "We have to wear kimonos."
"Ki-what?" Natsu asked, very confused.
"Just come on and I'll show you!" I exclaimed, dragging Natsu away fromt the lake.
As soon as it was dark, we got ready for the festival. I gave Natsu one of Isamu's kimonos, and we changed in separate rooms. I changed into my knee high blue kimono that had white flowers all around it. I looked at myself in the mirror to make sure I looked good. I put my hair up and added a blue flower to add a little more flare. I looked at myself and sighed. It's been a long time since I attended one of things like this, but I knew that i would have a great time. I had Natsu by my side, which made everything great. "You ready?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah." I called out. I walked out of the room and when I saw Natsu, all I did was stare. Even in Hinamizawa clothes, he looked attractive. The black and gold kimono looked so dazzling at him, I couldn't keep my eyes off him. When I looked at Natsu's eyes, he was just staring at me with his eyes were wide and his mouth was wide open. "Natsu?" I asked, a little worried.
"You look......beautiful." He gasped. I blushed and looked down at the ground. "Thanks." I answered. He walked up to me and held my hand, his smile dazzling as ever. "And I mean it. You look beautiful."
I smiled at him and squeezed his hand. "You look great as well." I smiled. I gave him a peck on the lips, and he grinned widley. Together, we walked out of the house together, into the bright, colorful, loud festival.
Natsu P.O.V
Hinamizawa sure had some pretty fun festivals. There were so many stands filled with games, music, delicious food I looked over at Lucy to see her smiling brightly. She looked beautiful with that smile of hers. "Natsu! Let's go to the lake!" Lucy exclaimed.
"Why?" I asked. "What is over there?"
"The orbs we put in the water this afternoon! I've heard some pretty great things about it." Lucy told me. Together, we ran to the lake. When we arived, we saw something spectacular. The lake was glowing mulitple colors of pink, yellow, green, and red. It sparkled brightly on the starry sky. "Wow." Lucy gasped.
"It's beautiful." I gasped as well. I held her hand tightly, as she did to mine. "Hey, Natsu?" I asked.
"Yeah?" I answered.
"I love you." She said to me with a smile.
I smiled back at her. "I love you too."
We lean in close to eachother, ready for a kiss, when a young man suddenly comes running to us. "Have you guys seen Kazehaya and Isamu?" He asked.
"No, actually. I haven't seen him since last night." Lucy realized. "Why?"
"We heard his scream from the forest." The man said. I looked over at Lucy, who's face got pale. She started to run towards the forest, and I followed. "Lucy!" I called out. "Lucy!"
I lost her in the forest, when all of a sudden, I hear her scream outloud. I follow her voice to see her on the ground, crying. "What's wrong?" I asked.
But she couldn't speak. All she did was wail and pointed up. I looked up and saw something gruesome and horrifying. I see her brother and father nailed to a tree by the hand and forehead, their eyes plunged out of their head, and their tounge ripped out of their mouthes. "Oh God." I whispered.
"Why!" Lucy screamed. "Why did this have to happen!"
She burried her face into my kimono, and I just looked away. "Just when I found them, they had to leave me!" Lucy cried.
"I'm sorry." I whispered. "I'm so sorry."
As I patted Lucy's head, the stench of the dead body began to fly into my nose. Almost ready to puke, I held my breathe, not wanting to smell the fumes. I looked up at the body again and noticed something on the tree. There was something written on it, but I couldn't see it at a distance. "Lucy, there's something written on the tree." I told her.
She looked up and her eyes widened. She slowly stood up and walked towards the tree. I followed her, cautious for her saftey. When we got a closer look, I was able to read the words.
Lucy gasped and cried more.
My emotions began to boil up into fury.
On the tree wasn't just some random markings, but they had a message; a message of warning. Written as if they were scratched on to the tree, it read this:
I WARNED YOU TO STAY AWAY
