Asul Buwan, a huntsman and a graduate of one of the only two original teams of his batch sat on his desk, eyeing the after-effects of his impromptu exam. Hand on a cup of coffee, he smiled at the ones who were able to defend themselves. Some students kicked down their desks and used their Aura to reinforce it, one team hid behind the toughest members of their team, Team RWBY had managed to remain relatively unharmed with Weiss's ice wall she conjured, although he did see that their aura was in the red with the black-haired Belladona hiding on the side, out of the range of fire of the bullets while using her semblance.

The invincible girl used her semblance to manipulate her and her team out of the way. That was smart of her. He saw team CDNL use their bags as a shield, smart but it was too small, they had passed out quickly after the barrage. Looking at his new apprentice, he nodded. Jaune, despite being untrained was able to tank damage with his aura before he deployed his shield and even protected some students with his quick thinking. Although, he did look worse for wear... It is an improvement. 

Ignorant to the pained groans of his students, the young man eyed his scroll to look at the time. He still has two hours left of teaching. It was orientation so he can wrap this up quickly. Stretching a bit, he put his scroll down. 

"To those teams with all members who are still awake or still has aura you guys get an A, to those with one member down, you guys get a B+, to those with two get C, those with three or all of you, you guys get a C-," Asul said as he stretched. "If all of you guys get knocked out then, and only then will all of you guys fail and will get expelled from my class," This revelation made many of the students that were not knocked out outraged. This new professor just came here, attacked them and they get scores just like that? Why do they even need to share their scores with their team anyway?

"Well, clean this up and you guys can spend the rest of time doing who knows what. I do recommend that you people get to know each other though," Asul said once more while doing a shooing motion. "And before you ask, if you guys can't handle something like this then there is a 90% chance you will die on your first real live mission, not those Breacon recommended missions," 

The way Asul said it like it was a normal event and it unnerved the students. Why was someone like him a teacher? He didn't even have the attitude of one. 

"Also, Teams RWBY and JNPR come with me to Professor Ozpin's office," Asul said, closing his scroll and standing up. Standing up, the said group of people walked towards Asul. Looking to the side, Weiss noticed that Jaune had bandages wrapped around his neck and her eyes widened. 

"Jaune, You go do all this," Asul said, handing Jaune a folder. Feeling the professor's intent., Weiss and Jaune stiffened. 

"Big brother, wait!" Weiss shouted as she tried to stop him but it was too late. Remembering his earlier lesson, Jaune coated his body with Aura, protecting him from the stick that hit his side and launched him outside of Beacon.

Whistling, Asul looked out the window and shouted. "JAUNE! YOU ALIVE?" 

"Yes!" Hearing the Arc's reply, Asul nodded. Seeing what happened the sister teams were worried for Jaune. True, they might have ignored him. 

"Why did you do that?!" Weiss asked Asul with an annoyed look on her face. She was worried for Jaune. She had seen how dangerous Asul can be and she recognized those bandages. They were a special design from the SDC made by him. 

"Now, now Weiss. You're not gonna even hug your older brother," Asul said, opening his arms. His personality reminded the group of Nora. 

"No, answer me! Why did you have to do that to Jaune?!" Weiss shouted as she glared at Asul which shocked those inside the room. They had expected either Pyrrha or Ruby to be the one to defend him but not Weiss. She even used his name. 

Asul's aura leaked out of his form making him look more imposing than he is. The pressure he released was so great that it made those with their aura in the red shake and collapse in fear. 

"Oh, Weiss, you grew up so fast!" Asul said, breaking the tension by using a handkerchief to wipe his tears. "You even found a boyfriend," Asul said happily as he took his phone and started to type something. If one looked closer, you can see that it said,

Seeing this, the two redheads could not help but feel annoyed at what just happened. For Ruby, Jaune was her first friend and she wanted to spend more time with him, she just needed Yang to see that Jaune would not hurt her. Pyrrha on the other hand was simple. She was his partner. It might have hurt when she found out he cheated and she ignored him, she wanted to make it up to him. 

Weiss just blushed and tried to reach for the scroll. Sending it to the group chat, Ren cackled ominously. 

"I think I know why Weiss is so uptight," Yang whispered to Blake whose bow twitched slightly. She was looking out of the window before shrugging. 

Asul's scroll rang several times, catching their attention. Looking at it, Ren and Weiss paled. The caller ID read Flat Wine. Gulping, Asul looked at Weiss. The surrogate siblings looked at each other and nodded. Pressing the end call button, Asul let out a sigh of relief. 

A notification popped out to show a message from Wine. 

Wine: Answer now. 

Wine: If not, your stash gets it. 

Wine sent a photo. 

It showed a photo of his room in the Schnee manor with several summoned beasts dumping stuff into a pile. Wine Schnee, a beautiful young woman dressed in a white shirt that was not tucked in with several top buttons opened to reveal a generous chest, a loose blue tie, A black blazer several sizes bigger than her, one that obviously belonged to him due to the moon pin on the collar, a pair of black pants, and black gloves. She has white hair flowing down on her back, her light blue eyes carried a mischievously seductive look as she posed for the picture, a free dust crystal on her gloved hand while her other was blowing a kiss. There was a white-haired boy there trying to pull away a book from a summon's talons.

Asul smiled and looked at Teams RWBY and NPR. Taking his scroll, he accepted the call and put it near his ear. 

"Hey, partner," Asul said nervously, before coughing to calm himself. "sup, wine? How's my one and only partner and favorite Schnee in this whole wide world?" 

"..."

"No, I'm not flattering you to change the topic. Besides, you look hot in that suit." Asul said with a smile. 

"..."

"What the?! I'm just praising you," Pouting the TaS professor listened once more. 

"..."

"Right, right. Fine, I'll make it up to you. Anything you want?" Asul offered. 

"..." 

"Wait, why do I have to treat you to shopping in Vale? You know you can just order those from designers right?" Asul just shrugged before looking nervous. 

"..."

"You can just go with either Blume or Rose. I thought shopping and going to spa parlors together was your hobby?" 

"..."

"Okay, fine. I'll hang out and go shopping with you when you visit Vale. So, your student is getting here by Sem break and a day after that you will visit here as well? Got you," asul said with a smile. 

"..." 

"Weiss, sure she's with me. Wait a sec," Asul said. Walking towards his desk, he put his scroll on a small platform. A few seconds later, his scroll increased to the size of a computer, to reveal Wine Schnee, sitting on a couch near a fireplace. 

"Hello Weiss," Wine greeted her sister. Her voice was calm yet those close to her like Asul and Weiss heard the soft tone and saw the way her eyes warmed up on the sight of her sister. "How have you been? 

"I've been great Wine, I make sure I keep up with my studies to make you proud and our family proud," Weiss said with pride. This made Asul hide a chuckle under a cough while Wine shook her head. 

"Weiss, I ask you how are you, not how are your school works doing," Wine said with a smile, shaking her head at her sister. Hearing this, the youngest daughter of the Schnee blushed and pouted at both her eldest sister and her surrogate big brother. "It's nice to talk with you again," She said with a smile. 

"Y-yes, it is a pleasure to talk with you again," Weiss happily said. She was beaming at the sight and voice of her eldest sister. 

"It seems like you have been put into a team. And from the looks of it and from what Asul told me, your teams are quite close," Wine said, pride filling her voice. Her observation dimmed the mood of the two teams. Well, they are all close, except with Jaune. 

"Would you mind introducing them to me?" Wine asked after seeing the mood and a shake from Asul's head made her find out about the situation.

"y-yes, big sister," Weiss said nervously before putting up a smile. Pointing at the red hood-wearing girl, she pulled Ruby Closer. "This is Ruby Rose, my partner, and team leader," 

"H-hi, I'm Ruby Rose," Ruby nervously said, feeling a bit shy. Her eyes sparkled as she saw the weapon on her belt. "Is that a Saber with a revolving dust chamber?!" Ruby squealed as she saw it. Her childlike behavior made Wine chuckle and smile.

"Yes it is, it is quite well-made with custom dust mixtures. You would get along well with our teammate, Blume," Wine said with a smile. 

"Hey, calm down, now sis," Yang stepped in and pulled her sister away. 

"Sorry about her, she gets really excited about weapons," Weiss blushed a bit making Wine chuckle. 

"No need, Blume used to be much more hyperactive than her. Hey, Asul. Remember that time when we were on a mission to defend the fort?" Perking up, the professor shuddered a bit. 

"How could I forget? You and Rose decided it would be a good idea to light all the Grimm up," Asul then glared at Wine. "I literally have to beg to make sure we don't get our reward to be forfeited,"

"Sorry," Wine had the tendency to blush and look away from Asul. "Besides, we made it up to you," 

"I hardly believe tying someone up and using him as a body pillow as 'making it up," Asul then sighed. 

"Honestly, I felt like I was gonna get crushed," He did not notice the creepy Aura released by Wine, 

"Are you calling us fat?"

In the Emerald Forest

Jaune started to do his training routine to stop when he heard a pair of people talking. 

Curious to who was talking, Jaune stood up and came face to face with a girl. Blue met green as they stared at each there. Looking at her closely, Jaune saw that she was dressed in a black shirt and skirt, a pair of black knee-length socks, a pair of boots, and a gray-hooded black cape. She has white hair and green eyes. To Jaune, she looked like a combination of Ruby, Weiss, and Pyrrha.

"U-Uhm," the girl stuttered out before hiding her face under her hood. "D-do you know where sir Buwan is?" She said, shyly looking at the young man.

'Cute,' Jaune thought with a small blush. Immediately standing up, he wiped his sweat off his face, revealing the blue moon pendant around his neck.

"Hey, Gray, It seems like this boy is your partner," a rough voice said surprising Jaune and making the girl, Gray, blush and take out a small birdcage around her waist to reveal a cube inside of it that was talking.

"A talking cube?" Jaune asked making the cube chuckle and for Gray to shake the cage gently.

"S-sorry about him. I... I am big si... Wine Schnee's apprentice, Gray," Bowing to Jaune, Gray then gave him a small smile.

"Ugh... I'm Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it," Realizing what he just said, Jaune blushed. "I mean," He was interrupted by a giggle from Gray.

"It's fine," She said happily before giving Jaune a small smile "It's a pleasure to meet you, Jaune," Gray said with a smile. Jaune's eyes widened as he saw a Grimm behind Gray. Drawing the blade of Crocea Mors, Jaune was about to rush to her when the birdcage glowed. The light died down to reveal a scythe on Gray's hand, several glyphs surrounded the Grimm, An Ursa Major, stopping it in its tracks.

Gracefully using her scythe, Gray was able to kill the alpha Beowulf with a single clean hit. Shooting forward, Jaune stabbed his sword, piercing another Beowulf's skull, and killing it instantly. 

The apprentices stood together back-to-back. "Mind watching my back, Gray?" Jaune asked while deploying his shield and going to a basic stance Asul taught him a few hours ago. 

"If you would watch mine, partner," Gray said, a smile on her face as she flourished her scythe gracefully. 

Then newly minted partners prepared themselves as a swarm of Beowolves growled at them from the emerald forest.
