"I can't believe it... Segregated..." You looked down and shivered.

"Yeah... By tooth structure..." Els sniffled. "That means we won't get to see you hardly at all..."

"Yeah..." Your voice wavered. "Bill!" You called out as you saw the large tiger with his face in his hands.

"Oh, hey Els and YN. You surprised me. Want to walk with me to the club?" Bill smiled.

"Bill, did you hear the announcement?" Els' eyes watered. "The club it's--"

"Yeah, I know. The club will be suspended at the end of the month... It surprised me because it was so sudden. But, there's nothing we can do about it!"

"Really!? You think that way?"  You walked next to Els who was slightly behind Bill.

"Yeah, because the school's gonna be segregated whether we like it or not. At least you can be glad, Els... You'll be safer this way. This is good... right?"

Els stopped and you stopped with her.

"...Coward..." Her voice was little. "You have no right to say any of that!"

"...Els?" You looked at her, surprised.

"I don't want you talking about my safety! Did you sneak herbivore meat from a place called the Black market?"

"Wh-how did you know?!"

"It's a well-known rumor in the club... not just you eating meat! Also you said that if I was a female tiger you would 'so hit that'!!! I know ALL of your misdeeds!" You looked at Bill with raised eyebrows, like really? Els? "But even so I still enjoy being with you! Because I know your good sides just as much as your bad sides! You keep others safe! You let me borrow manga! Carry heavy stuff and protect us! But that's only because of our clubs, s-so why are you so quick to give up on it?!"

"Okay! That's enough Els!" Bill gently grasped her shoulders. "I-I apologize... for a lot... I was wrong. I'm sorry! Let's talk to the guys about it. I want the club to continue just as much as you do! Let's go to the training hall!"

The club was already voting to oppose the ruling. And not just the drama club. The baseball club, manga club, judo club, newspaper club... The news of the club suspension brewed a storm of opposition. The ties between the carnivores and herbivores was going to be put to the test. Where was the school Beastar when you needed them?

One candidate was off gallivanting around the black market with a pride of lions.

Another was focused on serving Tem's murderer with justice.

And the last... well she wasn't so sure why everyone was in uproar.

Juno wasn't sure what was so wrong with segregation. Not that she would share that opinion with others. She felt that without segregation, everyone would be exposed to truths that neither sides wanted to know. Was it only her that realized this? Distance was all she thought the groups needed. She didn't want to stay sociable with herbivores. Smiling was fine, but ultimately she wanted to keep her distance. A stoic relationship was the desired outcome... right? Although, one good thing had come from this. Pina had been passed up on the role of Adler, and it had been presented to her for a gender-bending super performance. That, and after a rendevouz with Haru, encouraging her to call Louis, she felt like she had adequately shaken up everyone involved in the love... pentagon? Pentagram?
