The Adventure begins...
*ITS THE CIRCLE OF LIFE*
*AND ITS MOVES US ALL*
The tunes of The Lion King wake me out of my sleep. I open my eyes to see the ceiling of my room, with painted stars looking back at me. I get my phone to check the time.
6:30
Monday Feb 2
I put my phone back on my little white table beside me, filled with Disney characters I drew on to it. Then I get out of my Disney themed bed and fix it up a bit, putting of my Disney stuff toys side by side, with Minnie and Mickey in the middle. After that I double check if everything I need for today is in my bag.
History. Check. Algebra. Check. Spanish. Check. French. Check. Arts. Check. Theater. Check. Ballet. Check. Library Books. Check
Yes, I have Ballet stuff in my bag because after school I go straight to the ballet studio, which is across the street of the school. And the coolest part is, they have there own theater, where I've been for a couple of old musical productions.
I quickly check the mickey clock on mt desk to see what time it is.
6:40
Ok, I'm on schedule. I grab my towel and run to the shower. I take a quick bath and run back to my room. I glance at the clock to see that only five minutes have past. I put on the outfit I prepared the day before. A light blue skirt with blue leggings, a Tinkerbell shirt and Tinkerbell themed socks. I then blow dry my long brown hair and put it in a ponytail. Before I leave the room I grab my bag with my phone and check the clock once more.
6:51
Then I pass the mirror to check my outfit.
"Looking good." I say to myself.
I run downstairs to the kitchen, where Mom and Dad are eating breakfast.
"Morning Mom, Morning Dad." I said while kissing them on there cheeks.
"Morning sweethart." said Mom.
I sat on my usual spot, on the opposite side of my Mom and Dad. I grabbed my milk and cereal and ate quickly. When I was done eating I checked the clock above the Kitchen.
7:15
After that I brushed my teeth I made my ham and cheese sandwich and got an apple. I stuffed it in my bag and said bye to Mom and Dad. Then I head to the door, carrying everything along. From all the Jackets that hung by the hangers, mine was pretty easy to find. A red jacket with Mickeys head on both the front pockets. I quickly check those to see if my bike keys where there with my house keys.
"Yep, I found it." I said to myself.
With my bag on my back and my phone in my pocket I'm almost ready to g-
But the I realised forgot my earphones.
"Shoot, Mom can you grab my e-."
"Earphones?" Mom said, holding in her hands my Minnie Mouse earphones.
I let out a sigh of relief.
"Mom you know me all to well."
I get the earphones and plug them into my phone. Then I quickly kiss her on the cheek.
"Love you mom."
"Love you to."
"Love you Three!" screams my Dad from the kitchen.
I unlock my phone and then open up Spotify and press my usual Disney playlist on shuffle. King of New York starts to play into my ears. After that I quickly check the time on my phone.
7:26
SHOOT! Kayla is going to kill me if I'm not on time again. I open the front door and run to my bike.
"BYE MOM BYE DAD!" I shout as I leave the front yard onto Rosewood Street. It quiet now and there are no cars so I speed up a bit trying to get to a street corner three blocks away. That is the street where Kayla lives.
Kayla is my one of best friends. We've known each other since kindergarten. We're both Disney Geeks, so we can basically fangirl over everything Disney. We bike to school together everyday. And we bike back together to, because we also have ballet together.
After a couple of twists and turns I see a familiar face standing by the street corner of Applejack Street. A girl with big blue eyes and Tinkerbell blonde hair, carrying a pink backpack with Minnie's face on it. Her bike happens to match her too. Pink, pink an even more pink.
When she sees me, she waves at me.
"So so finally on time, huh?" She says once I get off my bike to stand beside her. And I also stop my music playing.
"Yeah, right Lottie." I reply with a grim on my face.
"Ha ha ha, very funny."
Kayla gets her phone to check what time it is.
"Its now seven thirty-five so we need to be at school before eight so that I can still go the library and read something until eight twenty-five when the bell rings."
"Well, let's go, we don't want to be late, and I need to return some books to the library too." I reply.
We both hop on our bikes. The distance from the street corner to school is fifteen minutes, so we leave usually one hour ahead. In know it may sound crazy, but It's totally worth it. Since we arrive early we go to the library, because, why not. If I(or we) don't have any assignments that we need to make, we always talk about books and etc. with Ella Honeywood, the Queen of the Library, as we both nicknamed her.
After fifteen minutes we park our bikes by the bikes by the biking stall. The beige colour of the large building shades quite a large part of the front area of the school. On top of the school doors hangs the schools name.
Hamilton high
We walk thru the doors into empty hall ways. The long path of clean white floors and a beige colour walls match the yellow lockers that fill the wall. And all the brown doors that each hold different supplies for different subjects. As we walk past the Theatre class, we spot Mrs. Menken in her classroom, sitting by her desk. As we pass by she looks up from her desk, smiling and waving at us. Me and Kayla both wave back, eager for it to be Theatre class already. It's the only time of day we can do things we enjoy, and so do the other seniors who are in her class. We sometimes perform in the auditorium, but during special events we would go to the Theatre of the ballet studio.
After a while we the reach the west wing. On the very end of this first floor corridor holds toilets, the staff room, and of course, the Library. As we walk thru its double doors, we are overwhelmed by the smell of books. Shelf's filled with books sit side by side. Computers on the left side, and the books on the right side. And by the counter near the entrance sits a lady by the name of Mrs. Honeywood. Her blond grey hair sat in a loose bun, that has two pens holding it in place. When we can thru the door she immediately looked at us and smiled.
"Hello deers, returning your books I suppose?" she in her sweet voice.
We both smiled. I know I will miss her face when I move to collage. But I don't even know if I want to go to collage. I'm still convincing my parents for me to apply for the Disney Collage program once I turn eighteen.
"Yes m'am." I say, grabbing a copy of Hunger Games and The Fault in our Stars out of my very Disney Backpack.
Kayla, trying to find her books, looks up at me.
"May, why don't you go first? I have difficulty finding my books. It should be in here somewhere."
"Ok" I replied.
I placed my books on the brown counter that seperated me from Mrs. Honeywood.
She then grabbed the books and started typing something onto the computer. While she was doing everything I check the clock hanging above the counter.
8:10
"Well, your done May."
I look at her, smiling back. Then I check on Kayla. She stood behind me, holding a copy of Lord of the Rings. I step aside as Kayla moves to the counter.
"Kayla, is it ok if I already went to my locker?" I ask.
I get a simple "ok" back as a response. I walk again thru the doors into the much louder school halls. Students and teachers walk thru the halls, heading to there destination.
My locker is in the center of the school, which happens to be the indoor part of the cafeteria. After some time I finally found my locker, which is easy to find since It was the one on the very corner of the west wing. As I dump History and English into my locker, I hear a very familiar voice coming from right beside me. And it isn't Kayla...
