Hello, you guys. Sorry for the late update. Today, in the chapter Jaune would finally man up. But with a twist.

[Pyrrha's POV]
I looked out the window sadly as Ren was loading his bladed pistol weapons and Nora was jumping on her bed in the room. Y/n was also here with us as well and shared with me secretly of what he heard from the roof..

Nora: How come Jaune gets home so late?

Ren: He's become rather scarce since he started fraternizing with Cardin.

Nora: That's weird...Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest! *twirls in midair so her back hit the covers*

Pyrrha: *feels upset as she still stared out the window* I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing.

Nora and Ren exchanged glances for a moment, then looked to Y/n for some answers. He simply shook his head.

Y/n: *goes to Pyrrha and places hand on shoulder before he leaves* He'll snap out if it eventually Pyrrha. Give him time. *uses fire to teleport back into his room.

Pyrrha: Mmmm... I guess so.

Little did they know that Jaune himself was looking in through the crack of the door.

[Jaune's POV]
I hung my head and closed the door quietly, just as a voice interrupted my own thoughts.

Ruby: Hey, Jaune!"

Startled, i turned around to see Ruby in her pajamas, and she giggled at my reaction.

Ruby: Long time, no see! Did you lock yourself out again?

Jaune: *raises my scroll, attempting to laugh.* Oh, uh, nope!
Got it!

Ruby: So! Where have you been lately?

Jaune: I, uh...*tries to come up with something, but just sighed and lowered my head* I messed up. I did something I shouldn't have, and now Cardin has me on a leash, and Pyrrha won't even talk to me, and...*breathed heavily through nose* I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea.

I then pressed my back to the door and slid down to the floor in depression.

Jaune: I'm a failure.

Ruby: Nope!

Jaune: *Looking at her in surprise* Nope?

Ruby: Nope! You're a team leader now, Jaune. You're not allowed to be a failure.

Jaune: But... what if I'm a failure at being a co-leader?"

Ruby thought about it for a moment, then gave her answer.

Ruby: Nope!

I laughed as she joined him on the floor.

Jaune: You know, you're not the easiest person to talk to about this kind of stuff.

Ruby: Nope! If anything, Y/n is, oh well. Might as well try.

As i leaned into the door some more, Ruby said...

Ruby: Jaune, maybe you were a failure when you were a kid..."

I groaned and sinked lower to the ground,

Ruby: ...and you might've even been a failure the first day we met!

I groaned again and went lower.

Ruby: But, you can't be one now. And do you know why?

Jaune: Uhhh, because...?

Ruby: Because it's not just about you anymore. You've got a team now, Jaune. We both do! If you or me fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us. *gets up and placed her hands on her hips*

Ruby: The three of us have to put our teammates first, and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great co-leader, Jaune. And I think that can be you."

She got up and looked at me before opening door..

Ruby: Good night, Jaune! *goes inside and closed the door to sleep*

With new energy, i pushed himself off the ground and faced the door, ready to turn the knob and face his team, but my scroll beeped and i pulled it off of his side to open it, seeing Cardin's contact relaying a message.

Recording: Hey! It's your buddy Cardin! I know you're probably busy with that Dust project I gave you, buuuut I'm also gonna need you to go out and get me a bag of Rapier Wasps.

I made a terrified sound in response, and felt myself shaking..

Recording: And make sure they've got some really big stingers! It's important, so don't screw this up!

I closed his scroll just when it begins to beep again. Sighing, he wearily headed down the hallway and away from his room.

(Timeskip to trip)[y/n's POV]

Forever Fall, a forest bustling with red leaves and gray trunks. Ms. Goodwitch was leading my team, along with teams RWBY, JNPR, and CRDL through the area.

Goodwitch: The forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so.

The group stopped, and Jaune, grunting and carrying a large case with seven empty glass jars on top, tried to catch up with them and ended up bumping into Cardin. The bully scowled at Jaune, who attempts to feign innocence by whistling tunelessly.

Goodwitch: Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here by 4 o'clock. Have fun!

While Yang and Ruby smiled at one another, i saw Jaune attempted to sneak away from Cardin to his team, but sadly, the blackmailer saw him and grabbed him by the back.

Cardin: Come on, buddy - let's go!"

Jaune miserably looked up at his team, where Nora and Ren were already walking into the forest's depths and Pyrrha and me were staring sadly at the scene. Dropping his gaze, Jaune turned and followed CRDL, to the disappointment of a sighing Pyrrha and pity from me before they continued on.

[3rd Person View]
Team CRDL were making themselves as comfortable as possible by leaning on stones, trees, and the ground while Jaune returned to the group with seven full jars, setting them down just as he collapsed face-down. The surrounding team gets up in response.

Cardin: Hey, great work, Jauney boy! Now that wasn't too hard, was it?

Jaune: I think I'm allergic to this stuff...

Cardin: Greeeeat, great, great. So, Jaune, I bet you're asking yourself, 'Why did my buddy Cardin ask me to collect seven jars of tree sap when there's only five of us?

Jaune: That is one of the many questions I have asked myself today, yes.

Cardin: Well, come with me, and you'll find out.

I moaned and gulped in worry.

Now perched on a hilltop overlooking the other students, team CRDL - plus Jaune, squeezed between Cardin and Russel, peake their heads over the crest and watched as everyone was retrieving their samples of sap. Ren, kneeling to collect it from a tree, passed a full jar to Nora, who "Mmmm!"ed at the gift as Ren traded it for the other jar in her care. He turns back to the tree and starts filling it up while several licking sounds were heard. Ren turned to see a now embarrassed Nora, smiling, face covered in red and an empty jar in her hands.

Jaune: Cardin, wh-what's going on?

Cardin: Payback.

Jaune: Pyrrha...? And Y/n?"

He watched her gather more sap from a tree, while Y/n gathered sap with Ruby.

Jaune: Wh-what are you-?

Cardin pounded his fist on the ground.

Cardin: That's the girl. Red-haired know-it-all, thinks she's so smart. And that bastard who thinks he's all tough. Alright, boys...

He pulled out a buzzing cardboard box with a large "W" written on its sides.

Cardin: Last night, old Jaune here managed to round up an entire box of Rapier Wasps, and now, we're gonna put him to work.

Russel grabbed Jaune by the shoulder, who barely laughed in nervousness.

Cardin: Now, according to one of the essays you wrote for me last week, these nasty things loooove sweets.

Pyrrha could be seen finishing her sap collection while Y/n was struggling  to prevent Nora from drink his sap and having a laughing Ruby help him.

Cardin: I'm thinking it's time we teach them a thing or two."

The members of CRDL got up. Cardin offered his hand to Jaune, only to painfully yank him up on his feet and shoved the two jars into his grasp.

Cardin: And you're gonna do it.

Jaune: Do what?

Russell: Hit them with the sap!"

Cardin then leaned in close to Jaune's face.

Cardin: Either that, or I'll have a chat with Goodwitch, and you'll be on the first airship out of Beacon.

Jaune looked down at the jars of sap in his hands and then up at the four grinning teammates waiting to see what would happen. Jaune turned towards the group and aimed his throw at an oblivious and smiling Pyrrha and hard working Y/n, still being laughed at and helped by Ruby, trying to steel his nerves and shaking hand to do the deed, but ultimately, the Ranger steeled himself for what he was about to do.

Jaune: No.

Cardin: What did you say?"

Jaune: *grips both jars slightly* I said...NO!

He turned and threw the jars at Cardin, instantly recoiling his hands to himself as he looks at Cardin's breastplate covered in sap. The other team leader, however, just looked at himself and laughed darkly.

Cardin: Oh, you've done it now...

Jaune humorously laughed to himself once more with his hands still raised in an attempt for defense as Dove and Sky grabbed Jaune's shoulders and pull him.

Y/n's head jerked up. Something was...wrong. He could feel it.

Where's Jaune?

Ruby: What's wrong?"

Y/n: Its nothing. *turns Back back to his jar of sap to see it empty* Really?

He stared at his half full jar of sap irritated..and then stared to Nora.

Y/n: Nora..did you drink my sap.

Nora: Umm..*licks the drop of sap from her lip* Nnnope!

Y/n: *leans close to her ear and smirks* I'm gonna spank you when we get home.

Nora: *blushes* I-I'll stop..only if you make me Chocolate pancakes tommorow.

Y/n: Deal.

Nora left, but without swaying her hips at y/n. He then felt Kira hugging him from behind

Kira: What was that about?

Y/n: I think Nora likes me.

Kira: Yeah..i can see that.

Still, his worries were concentrated on Jaune, who was nowhere to be seen.

[Jaune's POV]
Jaune got pushed to the ground of the forest. Jaune groaned as he looked up and saw a sap-covered Cardin looming over him. The bigger warrior picked Jaune up by his front and grinned while punching him in the face back to the ground.

Cardin: You know that wasn't very smart, Jauney boy."

He picked up the bruised Jaune again while the rest of team CRDL watched and laughed.

Cardin: I'm gonna make sure they send you back to mommy in teeny tiny pieces.

My head was hanging back.

Jaune: I don't care what you do to me...*looks at Cardin with fury* ... but you are not messing with my team, my friends!"

Cardin looked momentarily shocked.

Cardin: What? You think talk like that makes you tough? You think you're a big strong man now?

I smiled in defiance. An enraged Cardin roared and raised his fist again, but just as the hit connected, a bright light shined from me, and when the white fades, Cardin was crying out in pain as he held his hand. Now back on the ground but completely healed, I looked confused at my own hands as they faintly glowed white. While he stared, though, Sky kicked Jaune in the back and got him on his stomach, but he looked up and glared at the approaching Cardin.

Cardin: Let's see how much of a man you really are...

Just as he said this, a low growl was heard, and a surprised Team CRDL turnned around and saw a large paw crash onto the scene, belonging to a huge Ursa with dozens of jagged spikes sticking out from its wide back. It leaped forward and stood over the terrified students, lifting its head in the air to smell the sap on Cardin's breastplate. It landed back on its forelegs and roared at Cardin while his teammates heroically fled.

Jaune: That's a big Ursa!

Cardin was rooted to the spot when the Grimm swung its claws and knocked him sideways, revealing Jaune cowering behind him. The Ursa continued to sniff, uninterested in Jaune and following its nose to Cardin. He watched as the Grimm towered over Cardin, who got his wit and pulled out his mace weapon only for the monster to swipe it away to Jaune's feet. Jaune looked conflicted. He didn't know what to do. He was wondering whether to fight or run away.

Jaune: *thoughts* I guess this is the only way!

[Y/n's POV]
Meanwhile, the roar of the giant Ursa was heard by the members of Teams RWBY and JNPR, and Yegear, still collecting sap on the other side of the forest.

Ruby: Did you guys hear that?

Suddenly, the members of Team CRDL were seen running the other way from the roar through the other students.

Russell: Ursa! Ursa! *runs into Y/n*

Yang: What?! *turns him around and picks him up by the front of his shirt* Where?!

Russell: Back there! It's got Cardin!

Pyrrha and Y/n dropped their jars as they both said..

Both: Jaune!

Y/n: Yang! You and Blake, go get Professor Goodwitch!

Yang dropped Russel, and nodded with Blake before leaving to find the professor. Pyrrha turned to Ren and Nora as she and Ruby activated their weapons.

Y/n: You two, go with them! There could be more!"

Y/n unsheathed his sword and grasped the trigger mechanism.

Y/n: Ruby, Pyrrha, Kira and Weiss! Stick with me! If Jaune's out there along with Cardin, we need to help Jaune.

Kira: What about Cardin?

Y/n: *sighs* As much as I hate the guy, I can't let him did. Let's get a move on.

We all bolted to where Cardin and Jaune are at..

Y/n: I hope Jaune is ok..

[No One's POV]
Cardin was attempting to run from the following Ursa, but it leaped over its prey and clawed him away. He tries to get up and crawl away. Jaune was still frozen in fear of the giant Ursai.

Cardin: Crap! Crap, crap!

Unknwon to the both of them, Y/n and the girls appeared on to the scene.

Ruby: Oh, no!

They watched as the Ursa leaned over the helpless victim, raised its paw and swiped down... only to be blocked by Jaune's shield. He struggled to defend a stunned Cardin from its attempts to lean on him. Weiss, Kira and Ruby prepared to go help.

Pyrrha: Wait!

The girls stop and looked at Pyrrha with a questionable look on their faces until Y/n spoke..

Y/n: Hold up a second guys, let's watch what happens. Plus, this is Jaune change to show that he can defend himself.

Ruby: But Y/n-

Y/n: I promise I'll step in if Jaune gets in a tight spot Ruby.

Jaune took the shield out from under the Ursa's paw and slashed at its stomach, causing it to lash out and try to crush him. He rolled out of the way and jumped over its swipe at his feet, but was unprepared for when it launched a claw at him in midair. He landed far away, yet was immediately back on his feet and passing Cardin as he charged again. The Ursa knocked Jaune behind it when he tried for a leaping attack. Jaune looked at the scroll in his shield to find out that his Aura level was in the red. He grew angry again and started to run at the Ursa as it also began to dash towards him. As they are just about to clash in slow-motion, Pyrrha and Y/n saw that Jaune had left himself completely open to the Ursa's attack. Pyrrha had lifted her hand out to him as dark red energy glowed around her hand. Just as the Ursa was about to hit Jaune, the glow surrounding Pyrrha's hand, was now surrounding Jaune's shield and made it lift up to block the swipe. Jaune used the surprise defensive move to lean on the ground, push his shield back up, and swing his blade right through the Ursa's neck. The head fell to the ground as the body slammed onto the ground. The three girls *minus y/n* were surprised as Pyrrha's hand stopped glowing and she smiled.

Ruby: Uhhh... What?"

Kira: How did you...?

Pyrrha: Well, Ruby has her speed, Y/n his elemental powers, Kira's Sonic scream and skills and Weiss have her glyphs. My semblance is polarity."

Ruby: Whoa, you can control poles...

Weiss: No, you dunce! It means she has control over magnetism!

Ruby: *Still impressed, whispered to y/n* Magnets are cool, too.

Weiss noticed Pyrrha starting to leave.

Weiss: Wait, where are you going?"

Kira: Yeah! We gotta tell them what happened!

Pyrrha: We could... She said.

Y/n: Or perhaps we could keep it our little secret? Plus, I dont wanna take away his self-esteem.

She walked away again as Ruby, Dante and Weiss smiled to each other in understanding, as a bruised Jaune sheathed his weapon before going over to Cardin. Cardin, still covered in sap, looked up at Jaune as his savior offered a hand. Cardin smiled as he took it and was lifted back up on his feet.

Cardin: Holy crap, Jaune!

But Jaune wasn't smiling.

Threateningly, he told Cardin, as he stared at him dead in the eye.

Jaune: Don't ever mess with my team, my friends, ever again. Got it?

Cardin looked intimidated to say at most, possibly even apologetic. With his order spoken, Jaune turned and walked away from a frozen Cardin.

[Timeskip to night-time]

Later that night, on top of the dorm building, a uniformed Jaune stood on the edge and looked into the distance at the green lights of Beacon.

Pyrrha: *walks to his side* No Cardin tonight? I thought you two were best buds?

Jaune: Pyrrha... I'm sorry. I was a jerk! You were only trying to be nice, and... I had all this stupid macho stuff in my head-"

Pyrrha: Jaune! It's okay! Your team really misses their leader, you know."

She then got up and began to walk to the exit.

Pyrrha: You should come down! Ren and Y/n made pancakes! No syrup, though-you can thank Nora for that! Plus we need to do that thing Ruby and the others discussed earlier."

Jaune: Thing? What-? Oh yeah! That!"

Jaune smiled but held out his hand and called out to her.

Jaune: Wait! *Pyrrha turned around, and i looked sheepish*

Jaune: I know I don't deserve it after all that happened, but... would you still be willing to help me... to help me become a better fighter? And Y/n too if he could?"

Pyrrha turned around so a worried Jaune won't see her satisfied smile. She went up to Jaune and suddenly pushed her leader to the ground.

Jaune: Hey!"

Pyrrha stood over him with her arms on her hips and with an evaluating tone

Pyrrha: Your stance is all wrong. You need to be wider and lower to the ground."

She offered him her hand, which he graciously accepted and they continue to hold on to and grin at each other.

Pyrrha: Let's try that again.

[Y/n's POV]
It had been night time. I was out in the Forever Fall Forest training with my dino gem powers. He deiced that Grimm were better targets than slicing up trees. He had his shirt off just for the purpose of not getting it ripped to  shreds. Sweat glistened on his muscular tone as he tore through countless Beowolves. An ape-like Grimm ran up to me and tried to drop kick him. He blocked and lobbed off on of its leg as and arms. It tried to punch the ranger with its remaining arm, but i grabbed the its arm, raised the Grimm up into the air and smashed it in the ground. I then spun the creature around four times before jumping into the air and smashing it ground once more, causing it to bounce back to the air.

Y/n: ok..that should be all of-

???: Aaaggghh!!!

I stopped training to see what made  that noise. After I got back to Beacon, I saw something that make me sick to my stomach..Team CRDL splattered everyone. Dove was eaten in half with guts coming out of him, Sky with his torso chewed through from all sides, Russell back was exploded with blood everywhere. And then I think i heard Miss Goodwitch fighting something. I turned to the fountain to see her barely standing and a Unknown charging at Cardin and eating him alive. (For those who don't know, this is what y/n will be fighting)

Y/n: *charges up a lighting ball and throws at at the unknown creature* Hey!!

The creature didn't react fast enough as it got blasted back by my attack. I jumped to the scene to see Professor Goodwitch about to lose consciousness..

Y/n: Miss Goodwitch. *goes to her and tends to her wounds* hold on I got you.

Goodwitch: *grabs his arm and nods left and right* I'll be fine..Take the grimm down first. Then....*blacks out*

Y/n: Ms. Goodwitch?! *feels her pulse and sees that she's ok* Alright. Let's get you to safety..

I teleported her to a school night nurse and explained to her about the professor's condition, then reappeared in front of the unknown grimm.

Y/n: Ok..time to die..

I channeled my fire and summoned two chained blades in my hands..

And charged at the Grimm to end it. (I'm lazy to write another fight, so watch this)

[Timeskip to finished fight]

I breathed heavily from taking that thing out.

Y/n: Three heads..one body. That was tough.

???: But you handled it well..kiddo

Unknown to who said that, I turned around to meet a woman who looked like a older version of Yang, but with black hair and crimson red eyes. The only blocking her look was a grimm mask...

Y/n: Umm..do i know you?

???: I guess you don't, since you were raised in a different world summer placed you..

Y/n: Who are you talking about? And how did you know i came from another world?

???: You were we're a small boy back then. You couldn't remember the  slightest thing of that fated event

Y/n: I won't ask again..*charges lighting in his left hand* Who..are you?!

???: *chuckles* Stubborn like your father. Very well, I tell you..

She started to remove her mask, so i can see what she looked like. What surprised me was that she resembles Yang..

Raven: I'm Raven Branwen, yangs  mother and also..your aunt.

Y/n: *subdued the electricity from left hand and felt shocked* M-my aunt?!

Raven: Yes..*walks close to y/n* I witnessed the fight you had with the chimera, and I'm amazed you held you're own. *looks at the corpses of team crdl* Except them.

Y/n: I still don't believe the things you said earlier.

Raven: *rubs y/n's shoulder* All in good time. But for now..i must go.

The woman i now know as Raven took her crimson blade out and slashed in the air, creating a portal. Before stepping in, she said one last thing to me..

Raven: Watch over yang for me, ok? She tends to have anger issue when I'm mentioned.

Y/n: *nods* You got it

Raven: *goes up to him abd kisses his forehead* I'll see you soon..

With that, she entered the portal, and closed it, leaving me to my thoughts..

Y/n: *thoughts* Is everything she said was true? I was born here?

Before I thought of anything else, I felt myself yawning

Y/n: I better get back to bed before Skyla and Beo double team Voltage..

I ran back to the dorms and headed to my room quietly. I then laid on  my bed and was about to sleep, until Skyla jumped on me and had a questionable look..

Y/n: *whispers* Don't worry, girl. I was just out.

Skyla then nuzzled in the crook of my neck and feel asleep. I started to do the same before thinking over one last thought..

Y/n: *thoughts* Maybe tommorow, I'll ask Ozpin about what she told me. Hopefully, he'll have some answers..

I closed my eyes and allowed dreamland to take my mind..
