Chapter 6

As the two walked through dark cave, Dimi thought she might as well try to make conversation. Walking in silence wasn't really that entertaining.

"So, you kidnapped me and now you're taking me somewhere that'll most likely be either my death or my final moments of a free thinking person." Dimi stated with interest. "Unarmed even, not a smart move."

"Shut up, pest." The man snapped, glancing back at Dimi. "I'd like to see you try to fight in absolute darkness."

Dimi glanced at him, a small smile on her face. stepping forwards Dimi felt her fist make contact with the man's lower back. "I think I'll take up that challenge."

She felt a hand wrap around her wrist and her body was flipped and thrown to the ground, causing Dimi to make a small indent where she made impact.

"This isn't my first rodeo, dear." The man said in a sickly sweet tone.

"Wow, first rodeo? How old are you?" Dimi laughed, before jumping back up to her feet. She knew the mayor probably was used to fighting in a narrow cave system, but unfortunately for him, Dimi had experience with it as well. Reeling her arm back, she threw a punch at him, though felt her fist go through thin air as a fist made contact with her chin. Hearing a few cracks, Dimi knew that the punch had broken her jaw. If it weren't for her species' inhuman healing speeds, that would of hindered her fighting a bit. Though as fast as the pain appeared, it had disappeared, he jaw snapping back into place with the only evidence of injury being a small drip of blood trailing down the corner of her mouth.

Looking to the side, Dimi managed to spot an outline of the man's figure through the corner of her eye. Using that as a guide she started to throw punches. She felt most of her punches land, and from the thud she heard it seemed that the mayor had been forced to the ground.

Raising her hand and summoning the magic energy she had felt return to her, her hand wrapped around the hilt of a sword, the blade short but sharp. With a smile on her face, she quickly moved forwards, knowing that the mayor was still on the ground after Dimi's last attack.

Pressing the blade of the ice sword against the mayor's neck, Dimi looked down at him with a dark look. "I would of thought that you'd be stronger than this. After all, you have forced a whole village into submission." She sighed, "And here i was hoping for more of a fight."

"Wait, please! Don't kill me! I'll do anything!" The mayor begged.

Dimi tilted her head, "Anything?"

"Yes! Anything!"

Narrowing her eyes darkly, Dimi tightened her grip on the sword. "Then perish."

The only sound after that was a high pitches scream echoing through the caves. Stepping away from him, Dimi looked down at the unconscious man. "Shame. I hoped he would of put up a better fight." She hadn't killed the man, she wasn't planning on it either, she just wanted to scare information out of him. Though it seemed like he was too much of a coward and ended up passing out before she could ask anything. Maybe I shouldn't of said the parish part. Well, what can I do now?

"Honestly, how did he get the village like that in the first place." Dimi muttered, "Something's not right here. There must be somebody else behind this whole thing." Walking through the narrow cave, Dimi headed back towards the room she had been trapped in with that woman.

Opening the door, Dimi peeked her head in, "Hello? I've come to give you your freedom." She called out.

"So, you beat him, huh? I'm not surprised, he was just a weakling himself." A voice echoed through the room, and Dimi sighed.

"So, you're the mastermind behind this, huh? I applaud you on your acting." Dimi said, an unamused expression appearing on her face as she started slow clapping. Of course, the woman had to interrupt her by kicking her in the face.

Flying back, Dimi felt herself collide with the cave wall behind her. Coughing up some blood, Dimi slumped down. She's strong. She thought, bringing her arm up to her mouth and wiping the blood dripping down her chin. "You pack quite a punch, don't you? This will be fun!"

Lunging forwards, Dimi grabbed onto the woman's outstretched arm, holding it securely as she flipped the woman onto her back, causing her to collide with the ground.

Turning to face the woman to punch her, Dimi instead got a face full of water.

Stumbling back by the sudden watery surprise, Dimi wiped her face. "Aw, come on man, that's playing dirty!" She shouted, just before she felt a blow to her jaw.

What's with these wizards and aiming for the jaw? Dimi thought.

"Battles are dirty, get used to it, FairyTail Wizard."

Dimi opened her eyes at that comment. A small smile appearing on her face as she chuckled. "I guess you're right." Quietly she added. "Then, I guess I'll play dirty too." Running up, she sent fist to her gut, turning on her toes smoothly and kicking her on the side, sending the woman sliding away.

A glow appearing at her hand, a sword appearing in her hand and she lunged, slashing through the water as she made her way towards the woman. Once she got close enough to her, she turned it in her hand and hit the woman in the heat with the hilt of the sword, before kicking her in the gut, causing he to stumble back and fall to the ground.

Looking down at the woman in a defensive stance ready to defend herself in case the woman decided to attack again, Dimi noticed that black lines were climbing up her neck. "Hey, what's with those markings?" She asked, her eyes narrowing.

"What, these?" The woman asked, placing her hand over them. A smirk appeared on her face. "It's a gift from the dark One."

"Dark One?" Dimi repeated, suspicion rising.

"He came to our world and has bestowed a select few with his blessing." The woman smiled, "Once the blessing is complete, each wizards magic will grow tenfold."

"Tell me, what does this Dark One look like?" Dimi asked, a cold mist starting to surround her hands and her left eye started to tint red. Upon mention of the Dark One, suspicion and slight fear rose in her.

The woman placed her finger to her lips, her body starting to glow before she disappeared completely. Leaving Dimi in the underground room alone, taking deep breaths as she tried to calm herself down. "Look at the bright side, I finally have a lead."
