Disaster

(Astrid P.O.V)
"Hey...Hiccup"I said quietly, trying not to look at him. He held a hand out to me to help me up. I great fully accepted."What are you doing out here?"He asked, but not in such a loud, angry tone as the other Vikings. "I-I just w-wanted to he-help"I stutter and mentally smacked myself for sounding so stupid. "Look-"Hiccup started but was cut of by the shrill shriek of the unholy offspring of lightning and death itself. "NIGHTFURY!".A Viking woman yelled."GET DOWN!"Shouted another and everyone scattered. A blue-purple plasma blast hit the watch tower. A night fury is the rarest dragon and the most dangerous, It never steals food, and a it never misses. Another blast hit a catapult. "LOOK OUT!" Some one screamed, and only then did I notice the large black dragon had swooped down and was zooming towards me and Hiccup. I was to scared to move, then I felt a sudden pressure on my side, pushing me down. The Night fury roared and flew back up to the sky. "LET GO OF ME!" A voice shouted. I looked around trying to find the Dragon and when I did, I felt like I was going to die. As the ruthless dragon flew away from Berk, with all the dragons following it. In its claws was the only heir to Berk. The Night Fury had kidnapped Hiccup, and It was because of me.

I was afraid, no scratch that, I was terrified. There was an entire village behind me, and I could feel them burning holes into my body.  Slowly I turned around, I saw the twins, Snotlout, Fishlegs,Gobber, my parents and the scariest of all, Stoic the Vast. Chief of Berk, and Hiccups father. I bit my lip, waiting for anyone to say anything. Finnally, after a while, Stoic took in a deep breath and made a hand motion gesturing for Gobber to come. He whispered something into his ear and Gobber nodded, looking at me solemnly. "Come on lass" Gobber said, pushing me slightly with his hook-hand. As I walked past the teens I heard them mutter "Nice going Assssstrid"."Just like her uncle, didn't even move." As soon as I got to my house I  quickly ran up the stairs to me room and stood by the window, trying to listen to the chief."The heir has been kidnapped,we must find him straight away and kill any dragon in sight, especially that night fury. I'll deal with that girl later."He said in a sour tone. I visibly flinched. All the Vikings gathered there weapons and torches, then headed out for the search. I sighed and fell onto my bed, screaming and sobbing into my pillow.

Berk grew smaller and smaller until I could no longer see it. "LET GO OF ME" I shouted at the black beast, hitting its paws to no avil. Eventually I gave up and accepted that I was about to be eaten. At least Astrid was safe. I just wanted to protect her, we were friends when we were small but I'm the heir now. So we grew apart and she became the village runt. But I never believed that.
I smelt something strange and realised the night fury had gas leaking out of its mouth, I breathed it in the world became black.
When I came to, I was looking at the stars. Slowly I sat up and saw I was in some sort of cove, there was a small lake and vines hanging from the rocky walls, but no sign of a dragon. I stood up and tried to find a way out but there was none. All of a sudden I heard a low growl coming from behind me. I was about to turn around when the night fury pounced in front of me and started at me with an expressionless face. I searched for my inferno but the holster was empty. I backed up until I hit the cove wall. The dragon seemed to notice I was uncomfortable. It sat in front of me, with it head cocked to the side and it's ears perked up. Its large green eyes started at me curiously. I had to admit, it was kind of cute."Ummm.....h-hi?"I stuttered. the dragon walked closer to me and I pressed my self against the rocks, closing my eyes. I waited for the dragon to do something or attack but nothing happened. Slowly, I opened my eyes to see the night fury sitting in front of me again, but closer.  I closed my eyes again and turned my head away, then I did the most insane thing a Viking has ever done in 300 years. I raised a trembling hand close to its nose and stopped a few inches away, letting the dragon decide. Then I felt smooth, cold scales against my palm. I turned my head to see the dragon had its eyes closed and it's snout pressed against my hand. I gently removed my hand and started to pat the dragons head. The night fury purred and rubbed its head against my chest. I yelped and fell on my butt. The dragon made a laughing sort of noise and pulled me to my feet. It then started to walk around me, sniffing me. The offspring then looked at me, concerned. My eyes widen. The dragon knew. The dragon knew I was sick and was going to die.
