Chapter Nine

The blonde girl turned to us and smiled. At the boys anyway, she sort of sneered at me. No surprise there. "Good afternoon," she said. "I'm Lucy Parker, Angus invited me." She stared at me. "I'm his girlfriend." Malcolm glared at Angus who only smiled in return.

"Girlfriend huh?" he asked. "Since when?"

"Since I asked her this morning. You remember her right Malcolm? From Sydney?" Malcolm gave her a fake smile.

"Sydney, right! How're you doing Lucy?"

"Great, especially with the best boyfriend ever!" she squealed. Oh yuck. Malcolm put a hand on my shoulder before heading over to his brother.

"Ang, can I see you for a minute? Outside?"

"Sure. Be right back Lucy," he said before kissing her head. They walked into the hallway leaving us alone.

Malcolm pushed Angus against the wall. "What the hell are you doing?" he asked.

"What do you mean what am I doing? Having fun Mal, is that so wrong?" Angus yelled.

"What about Hannah?"

"I don't care what she does."

"Don't give me your shit Angus, of course you care."

"I care about Lucy," Angus said crossing his arms.

"You left her in Sydney after she told you she didn't want to date you. Now you're into her all of the sudden?"

"I've always liked her, now she finally likes me."

"Because you're in a band." Angus stepped away from Malcolm.

"Forget it Mal, you'd never understand. I like Lucy and she's coming on the trip with us."

Lucy glared at me like crap in a toilet. I rocked back and forth on my feet waiting for the boys to come back. "So uh, how long have you and Angus known each other?" May as well be polite, right?

"We go way back. You know, just because someone's in a band, doesn't mean you get to be their little slut just to get fame." Exqueeze me? Baking powder, 'slut'?

"That's not what I'm here for," I frowned at her.

"Hmm. Must be the money then. Or just the sex." Believe me sister, that's the last thing I want. Lucy stood up from the couch and headed towards Angus' bedroom. "Better get comfortable, I'm gonna be in here a lot." I gagged.

"Please excuse me," I said covering my mouth with my hand. I opened the door and saw Angus walking away from Malcolm pretty mad. He passed me and closed the bedroom door behind him. "You're absolutely right Mal, he loves me!" I roll my eyes.

"I didn't say that. And now he's not only being an idiot, he's acting like a jackass toward you."

"Mal it's fine. He can do whatever he wants, we're still friends. You'll see." I gagged again as soon as I heard the door lock.

"You okay?" Malcolm asked worried.

"Yeah it's just- I don't like-" The world around me spun and I dropped to my knees. This has been happening ever since I could remember. Anything sexual in a non-joking way makes me ill and have a panic attack. Even if I'm not involved. I hoped all my life nothing had happened to me when I was young. I felt horrible having one right here, but what could I do?

I stood myself up before Malcolm could help and held my hands up. "I'm alright, I'm fine. Just got a little dizzy is all."

"If you say so," said Malcolm walking down the hall. I walked the opposite way hoping to get away from this whole situation.
