Ambushed

Once they returned to The Ghost, Kanan immediately fled to his room to, Hera assumed, go and meditate on the situation as Chopper gave her a message from Commander Sato. She was forced to tell the headquarters the bad news. She contemplated and visualized the conversation in her head as she flew back to the headquarter's new randevú points. The burden of simply speaking a few words was unbearable to her. Sabine, Zeb, and Chopper all stayed behind and lingered in the kitchen as they reconnected to Sato's ship. Ahsoka saved Hera a few agonizing moments by walking up to her, meeting in The Phantom. They met there and kept their conversation private.

"What happened out there?" Ahsoka quickly asked.
"Everything...," Hera sighed.
"You couldn't get him, could you?"
"We tried, Ahsoka. We tried so hard!"

Ahsoka let out a loud breath and sadly stared out into space. Then she looked back at Hera.

"We're sorry," Hera apologized.
"It's okay," Ahsoka said. "We can't wait too long, though. We can't let the Empire get too close to Ezra. He's too valuable to lose."
"I understand that. What's the--Ahsoka!"

"I don't know what happened," Hera explained as they paced together. "They both, when I found them, were having nightmare-like actions; cold sweats, hallucinations, and screaming."
"That was no nightmare, Hera," Commander Sato said as the remaining rebels circled around him in curiosity.
"Well, what was it?"
"A vision."
"Is there a difference?" Zeb inquired.
"A nightmare is just your imagination going haywire. A vision is something your imagination made up...and it's true."

Sabine took a deep breath and ran off back to The Ghost. Everyone was very distraught over the recent events and analyzing them when she simply wanted to forget them. She wished that she could be in Ezra's place instead of the other way around. Hera noticed Specter Five run away to The Ghost and then looked back at the two Jedi.

"Sabine, wait up!" Hera said as she ran up to the Mandalorian's side.

The remaining Specters returned to visit Kanan and Ahsoka awaken in the med bay of the rebel headquarters. Both of them woke peacefully, but the tranquility of their awakenings didn't last. They both immediately jumped into an anxious mode and began to explain to everyone what they saw.

"I had a vision! Ezra's in Coruscant," Kanan started, "but something's happened."
"What's happened, Kanan?" Hera asked. "Do you know?"
"The Emperor wasn't there in my vision," Ahsoka murmured in response. "But someone else was told to execute his plans."
"Who?" Hera inquired.
"The two Inquisitors...," Kanan replied. "They're doing it all. But something's not right between them."
"They're competing to become something greater than they already are."
"Of course, the Grand Inquisitor! And to get there?"
"Perform an interrogation, get answers, and kill the other Inquisitor. I'm not sure what they plan to do with Ezra though."
"They're going to make him join them. We can't let that happen!"

It became obvious that Kanan had half of the story and Ahsoka had the other. Without each other, they wouldn't be able to have figured out what had happened.

"So what's the plan?" Sabine asked. "We just casually fly into Coruscant on The Ghost and break Ezra out like it's not big deal?"
"Of course not, Sabine!" Kanan said. "We'll hijack an imperial ship from Lothal, rendevú with a part of the fleet, and then fly into Coruscant."
"We'll have to be very careful. If you guys think Lothal has a lot of star destroyers, wait until Coruscant! It's not going to be enough!"
"Then what do you suggest."
"We break him from the inside out."
"Hey, Sabine might be onto osmething," Ahsoka said. "What did you have in mind?"
"Can't you guys use the force to communicate with Ezra?"
"That's a good idea; why didn't you do that in the first place Kanan?"

Kanan grew silent as everyone looked at him. He couldn't lie to Ahsoka.

"Kanan, what happened?" Ahsoka asked.
"Force Inhibitors," Kanan replied. "That's what happened."
