A Different Identity:
Music. Something that helps ideas flow through. Today I'm making an art piece that will be entered in an art competition. I'm extremely nervous. I looked to the empty canvas, listening to House Of Gold by Twenty one Pilots. An idea popped into my head, now it's time to start painting. I chose a variety of different colors. I smiled at the empty canvas.
"This is going to be beautiful!" I cheered. My paint brush touched one of the colors, and moved the canvas, making the first stroke of color. I started with the sky. The sky was filled with pink, blue, and purple. Some of the sky had orange and yellow. I painted a castle floating in the distance, then painted Kirito and I kissing. I wiped my sweat from my head.
I added some clouds, and some birds. Then I sat up straight looking at the canvas.
"What's better than an empty canvas being filled?" I asked myself.
"One filled with something from your heart." I smiled as I answered my own question.
I stood up and walked to the bathroom, sighing because of my hard work. I used the restroom and then washed my hands. I didn't stop there. I picked up the canvas, and set it down on the counter, making sure nothing around it would spill or ruin it. Then I pulled out another canvas and began working on it.
Then I finished again. I looked down to my hands and giggled.
"A true artists hands," I went to the sink and washed my hands again.
As I was washing them, the door opened...revealing Kirito.
"You finished?" He put his coat on the hanger.
"I finished two of them...I'm not sure which one to enter though," I sighed.
"Let's try to make you're ambivalence wash away then." He walked over to the two paintings I did, while I washed everything.
"Asuna, who are these people?" He looked to me, awaiting an answer.
"You and I." I walked over to the easel, folded it, and put it in the corner.
The paintings on the wall all had been sold. I then had a moment of realization.
"Hey, I'll be right back." I stepped into the hall, and called the delivery man, he said he would come by and pick them up tomorrow. I walked in, grabbed the shipping boxes, and put the canvas' in.
"They being shipped tomorrow?" Kirito asked. I nodded, and set the canvas' by the bathroom door.
"Well, these painting are both good, but I think you should do the one with the floating castle." He handed it to me and I put it in a bag, then put it in a box.
"Let's keep the other one for home." He put it in a bag. I grabbed our coats and put his on first. I slid on my coat then opened the door. My keys! I grabbed the keys, walked out then locked the door behind me. We walked out to the elevator. I clicked the one button.
"Want something to eat?" I questioned Kirito.
"Sure!" He took my hand, and we walked off the elevator.
We walked to the apartment, dropped off the painting, and then went to Tokyo Joes. I ordered some noodles with teriyaki chicken and teriyaki sauce.
I looked up, "Kirito, what if I don't win that contest?"
"Asuna." He dropped his fork, his eyes were wide.
"I promise, you'll win that contest." He smirked and lifted his fist in the air.
"Bu-" He put his hand over my mouth.
"Fairy Tail Establishment is counting on it, they even bet you'd win." He took his hand away and started eating again.
"I guess I shouldn't worry too much." I muttered.
Fairy Tail Establishment was like Kirito and I's family. We were so close. It also happens to be where Levy and the rest of my friends from highschool work. Lisanna, Mira, and Juvia work at the bar there. Levy and Erza work at the receptionist desk. Mavis, Cana, and Wendy work with Kirito. After we finished, Kirito and I weren't ready to go home just yet.
"We should get some hot chocolate," I proposed.
"Yeah, let's go." He wrapped his arm around me, pulling me closer to him.
"You're warm." I huddled even closer to him, if that's even possible.
"You're cold," He whispered.
"I know," We went inside the Starbucks Kirito pointed out. He laughed as I waddled like a penguin to the cashier.
"Two vente hot chocolates." I stuttered.
"Will that be all?" She asked, looking at Kirito with 'dreamy' eyes.
"Yeah." I replied. Oooh, if this girl thinks she's getting my man, I will kill her myself.
"It's on the house." She winked at Kirito, handing him the receipt. I took it from his hands, and there was her number.
"Just as I suspected," I angrily ripped it up, and threw it in the trash.
"Calm down, I love you anyways." He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me from behind.
