Micaela's POV cont

"And there's one last thing before we call it a night!" Ferd suddenly announced amid everyone and I gaze up at him.

"Ferd?" I whisper-yelled his name and he gazed down at me grinning widely. I raised a questioning brow at him and his grin grew bigger.

The next thing I saw him do was he clapped his hands twice and in a twinkle of an eye, I heard something like a bombshell. I was startled by the sound, and I heard an exciting squeal from the guest. I gaze up at the sky and I saw fireworks. My mouth flew open in awe and my gaze fixed on the sky.

I've seen this moment in movies and books I've read, but not in real life. How is it possible that this is happening in reality right now?

"Do you like it?" Ferd's voice jars me out of my thoughts and I diverted my gaze at him. I stared at him dumbfounded, I didn't know what to say to him for all he has done for me. I shrugged in response and he laughs. "Lost for words?" he asks and I nodded hastily.

"But why? Why do you love me this much?" I asked stupidly.

"I don't even know, or maybe because you gave me a new meaning to my life" he answered smiling.

"Please Ferd, don't make me cry" I pleaded even when I could already feel the warm liquid sliding down my cheeks. I've always imagined having a simple but unique and romantic proposal for myself despite the fact I never had any man in my life before Fernando came along the way. I can't believe my dreams came true.

I just hope this is all real, I don't want to wake up tomorrow and realize it was only just a dream. "Thank you" was all I said and I placed a kiss on his cheek.

"C'mon, you have nothing to thank me for".

"I have everything to thank you for" I replied and he took my hands and held it.

"So, when is our wedding going to be?" he asks.

My whole face was lighted with shock. "Wedding?" I ask dumbly.

"Of course, wedding! Don't you want us to get married sooner?"

"No, no, that's not what I mean. Of course, I want to get married to you" My heart somersaulted at my response.

"Then, we should do that already. You just tell me the month and date and I'll get everything ready. Even if you say tomorrow, I'm very much ready" he said.

What a surprise! Here I was thinking it's going to be in the next six months or a year before we get married, but no, it's going to be sooner.

"What is wrong? You don't want us to get married? Tell me your mind and I'll accept whatever you say".

I do love Ferd and I can't wait to be his wife, but I'm scared if I become his wife sooner then, that means the secret that I'm hiding will come to light. If I should think it through, it doesn't matter how long it takes before I get to tell him the truth, what matters is I told him and we're able to get over the past. Right?

"How about next month?" I chirped with excitement. I've made up my mind, I'm getting married to Ferd come what may.

"Then next month it is, my diamond" he smiled and kissed my lips. "I want us to disappear from everyone right now".

"Anything you want my darling, take me wherever you want" I replied and he sweeps me off my feet carrying me bridal style. "Ferd!" I squealed.

"You gave me the permission to steal you away so I'm doing just that," he said and I giggled at that and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Today is not the wedding, Fernando" Antonio's voice rang in our ears and we all burst into laughter.

"You should mind your own business, buddy. She is my woman, not yours" Ferd retorts and I grin widely at Antonio.

"Whatever, you can do whatever you want with your woman. Shoo, shoo" Antonio shooed us away and Ferd gave a slight bow.

"I'll gladly leave, Sir" Ferd replied and we both chuckled and exited the garden.

"So where are we going?" I ask when we got inside the car.

"Home" he answered.

"Okay. Give me a minute to make this call".

"Let me guess, you want to announce the good news to your friends?"

"Right. You just hold on and see what their reaction would be like" I snickered and dig out my phone from my purse. Voice calls wouldn't be more enjoyable compared to FaceTime, so I did FaceTime with Sabrina.

"Hey, gorgeous!" Sabrina shrieks as usual with lots of brown cookies in her mouth.

"Hi, Sabrina. I told you to watch your diet, young lady".

"Exactly what I'm doing, Mom" she replied and I rolled my eyes while Ferd snorted.

"By eating cookies, chocolates, ice cream, and...."

"Is not easy Mom, but I'll try. How are you over there? Why are you looking all dressed up? Going for a date with your boyfriend?"

"I'm coming back from a date with him" I squint at Ferd and he flashed me a smile.

"That's so sweet of him. I'm so jealous right now" she pouts and I smiled.

"That's not all girlfriend..."

"Is that Micaela?" Kim's voice interrupted and Sabrina nodded and munched more cookies, "Hi girlfriend".

"Hello Kim, I'm glad you are there with Sabrina. I have something to tell you, girls".

"What is it? Is everything ok?" Kim asks looking panicked.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine-" I paused and squint at Ferd again and he winks at me. I smiled and brought out my left hand and show to them.

"Oh my gosh!" My friends squealed with excitement.

"Ferd propose to me, girls! We are getting married next month!" I announced and they screeched jumping up and down.

I swear their screaming was about deafening my ears, I covered my right ear with my free hand while Ferd covered both of his ears. The squealing lasted for quite some time. "Calm down ladies!"

"Congratulations!!!" Sabrina screamed into the phone.

"Congratulations, girlfriend!" Kim followed suit.

"Thank you!"

"Where is he?" Sabrina asks and I switched the phone from my face to his. "Fernando! We love you! Congratulations!!"

"Congratulations handsome!" Kim added.

"Thanks, ladies. I have you two to thank for giving me your friend here" he said smiling and wrapped his arm around my waist and pecks me on the cheek.

"Aww, look at that, so adorable!" Sabrina coos.

"They look so cute together. Sabrina, what should be their love-ship?"

"Minando" Sabrina quickly answered.

Ferd and I shared a glance and I exclaimed "What!"

"You are a genius, Sabrina!" Kim exclaims and side-hugs her.

"How did you even come up with that name just now?" I ask.

"I'm a lover girl" she replied wiggling her brows and both girls giggled.

"What do you think about the ship from Sabrina?" I whisper to Ferd.

"I love it!" He answered aloud.

"Minando it is then" I announced to them and we all shared some exciting laughter.

"Okay ladies, thank you, we have to go off right now," Ferd said.

"You two are free to do anything you want. We'll get to talk to you later, bye" Sabrina replied grinning sheepishly.

"Bye, beautiful couple" Kim chirps.

"Bye ladies" Ferd and I chorused and I hung up the call.

"Quite interesting friends you've got there" he commented and I snickered with a nod.

"I wouldn't agree less" I replied.

"It's about time I give you a special treat" he winks at me and switches on the car ignition.

"As my King pleases" came my humble reply with a cheeky smile.
