Onyx.

I slowly open my red and pink eyes to find a curly black haired boy, wearing a pink-red shirt with a star, and blue pants. I see his stomach glow slightly as I look at him softly. I see three figures behind him, a pearl, a small amethyst runt, and a fusion...

"Oh, my head..." I mutter, grabbing for my head. "Are you Alright?" My Diamond side asks my other side. "Yes, I'm fine, red." My morganite assures. I look up again and see the boy and his companions look confused. They then see my onyx gems, one on my stomach and the other on my right thigh. Then it clicks inside of their heads.

"Fusion!" The three gem women yell, the pearl pulling the boy away as the others dawn weapons. I tense up, holding my own hands.

"Please, please don't hurt us." I plead softly. "I mean the boy, or you, no harm. Please, I have been asleep a very long time..."

"How long have you been here?" The fusion gem asks softly.

"Well, looking at all of the evolution, I'd say I've been asleep for a few billion years..." I offer softly as I glance around at all of the trees.

"A few billion years?!" The Pearl asks in surprise. "B-but how?!"

"My... 'sister' in a way, banished me from homeworld. She placed me here where there was no life. But I can see that has changed." I look at the small boy curiously. "If I may ask, what are you, little one?"

"I'm Steven!" He greets happily as he escapes the pearls grasp. He runs to me, tripping and I catch him in my giant hand. "Woah..."

"May I?" I ask, gesturing to his shirt. He nods and lifts it to show his stomach, showing a pink gem, a circle one, but still similar to mine. "How do you have a gem, Steven? I don't think I've ever seen this before."

"My mom was a crystal gem, and my dad is a human." He explains.

"Was?" I mumble, the word 'Crystal Gem' bringing back memories of a small pink girl with poofie hair. "Pink... oh Morganite..."

"Uhmmm... would it be possible for the two of you to unfuse?" The Amethyst runt finally speaks to me for the first time.

"Ah, yes, that would probably be best. Ready, my Morganite?" My Diamond side asks my Morganite side. I nod softly and unfuse.

Red Diamond.

When me and Morganite have un-fused, I stand with her in front of me, even though she is shorter than I. I smile softly at her protectiveness.

"Morganite, stand down please." I say softly, patting her head.

"Yes My Diamond." Morganite says, bowing slightly before holding onto my arm like Steven does to the fusion gems' leg. "You are unsafe though..."

"If they wished to harm me, they'd have done so already, yes?" I say, speaking to the four at the end. "I do apologize, I should introduce myself."

"Red diamond?!" The pearl asks in shock, worry and fear.

"Yes? I apologize, I do not recognize you?" I tell her in surprise.

"M-my Diamond... that is White's pearl..." Morganite whispers.

"What?!" I yell, throwing her behind me as I dawn my red whip.

"Wait!" Young Steven shouts as he gets between me and his friends. "Please! We don't want to hurt you or your friend! We were worried!"

"You?! You were worried?" I shout loudly before calming down. I start to tear up at the realization of who this child truly is. "Oh Pink..."

"My names Steven, not pink." He blushes a bit as Pearl quickly wraps her arms around him. "My mother was Rose Quartz, leader of the–"

"Crystal Gems, Yes, yes, I know. I have never heard of your mother or her team." I tell him as I make my whip disappear and I hug Morganite.

"She doesn't know..." pearl whispers but I hear it. I snap my head to her.

"Know what?!" I yell frustratedly. Morganite places a hand on mine.

"Please, My Diamond, calm down. It will clear nothing if we get upset." She warns me and I obey. "Now, White Pearl, what do we not know?"

"That..." she mumbles a bit before shouting. "That the Crystal Gems are considered traitors to Homeworld because of a fight long ago!"

"Ah?" I look at Morganite and laugh with her. "As are we, in a way at least. Did you not here me when I said White Diamond banished us?"

"O-oh..." she smiles sheepishly. I know that is not what she was going to say, but I let it slide for now. She doesn't wish to speak of it in front of the others. Or maybe just not at this exact moment with a Diamond.

"Let's go home." The fusion suggests, drawing my attention to her.

"If I may ask, what are you? I've never seen your kind..."

"I am Garnet. This is Amethyst, and that's Pearl." She introduces. Obviously she won't openly talk about her fusion in front of the human child, or maybe just not with me. "Now lets go before your friend–"

"My Dia–" I hear Morganite begin to say before she faints.

"Morgan!" I yelp as I go to catch her before she hits solid ground. I pick her up and cradle her to me. "Take me to your home so I may let her rest." I demand, my eyes stern, more serious than I had been earlier.

"Yes, Red Diamond." Pearl bows before leading us to a warp pad. She activated it once we are all on, and we appear in a wooden room. I spot cushions and place Morganite there. "That's... the couch."

"You could've put her on my bed, Red Diamond." Steven offers.

"Please, just call me Red." I say to them all, mainly to Steven. "And I'm sure it is almost time for you to go rest as well, young Steven."

"Just Steven is fine." He chuckles before he leaves and returns in different attire. He goes onto his bed and lays down before sleeping.

"May I speak with the Pearl alone? I wish to speak with you all, one on one if it's not too much trouble." Pearl gets nervous as she looks at Garnet.

"Sure." Garnet says as she walks to a door which opens to her gem room. The Amethyst follows but it opens to her own gem room.

"Shall we go somewhere where we won't wake up Steven?" I offer.

"Yes, Red Diamond." Pearl obeys as she leads me to the door and it opens to her gem room. We enter and I notice the columns of water.

"It's beautiful. And please, call me Red." I say softly as I stand on a tall column with Pearl beside me. "Do you know which Diamond you were assigned to, Pearl? Do you remember so long ago?"

"I was assigned to Pink Diamond, after White had switched Pearls with her. Pink was..." Pearl trails off and covers her mouth with both hands.

"She commanded you not to speak of what happened? Please Pearl. You are your own Gem, please, allow me, Pink's older sister, to know the truth of what happened long ago. I don't even know what has been told, since I've been asleep for so long." I plead with her and I see her tear up.

"I can't, Red Diamond, I am so sorry." She pleads back softly.

"Tell me. Is she dead and gone? Is my baby gem starlight dead and gone?" I ask, tears falling and joining with the water below my feet. "Pearl!"

"Yes!" Pearl shouts in frustration. "Your Pink Diamond is dead and gone!"

"Oh, my dearest of starlights... what have our sisters done to you..."

"It wasn't the other Diamonds. It was Rose." She cries out.

"Rose?! You think I can't see my own sisters gem and not recognize it immediately?!" I yell at the Pearl. "I don't care for your reasoning as to why my Starlight has changed her form into this 'Rose Quartz' and conceived a child– which I've never heard of– but I promise, I will find the truth out sooner or later, young Pearl!" I yell loudly.

Pearl cries softly as I leave the room, entering with my gem glowing slightly. I look onto the 'couch' to find Morganite asleep, and Steven curled up with her slightly. I sigh and go out the wooden door and down the steps onto the sand. I run into where there are many small buildings. I don't stop for anything.
