How Could This Be The End?!

The ship creaked when touching the makeshift rotting dock as Burakku began to holler orders to secure the boat in place and began assigning others tasks and duties to perform. "This dock is very unstable but its the closest yet farthest one to not be detected location," Burakku sighed as he walked up to Kur and Chuma, "this dock won't last long so it's best to be done in a hurry or we have to get off this dock in a hurry and only try to get closer on other docks closer to their base and risk them detecting us." Chuma looked at the dock belonging and sighed as he grabbed his mask from hanging off his bag and placed it over his face. He was adjusting it a bit more before lifting his hat and pulling the hood further from his head then putting his hat into place.

"How much time do you think this dock will last?" Chuma asked placing a hand on the railing and looking down. Burakku hummed before answering," I'd say no more than 2 hours but if anything happens like a tremble of a kind, this dock will break apart in less than a minute." Burakku sighed as he grabbed a lever and pulled it as the side of the ship lowered into a ramp and softly hissed on the rotting boards of the dock. Chuma let a physical shiver run down his spine. But not even a second later Burakku patted his back, "but don't worry my men will be monitoring and keeping anchor until the very end if need to be, "Burakku chuckled before holding out his clawed hand to show a light pale purple crystal, "but I also have this that can easily transport us right onto this deck as a last resort. So there's no need to panic my lich friend."

Kur sighed knowing how Burakku could act in times of profound moments. He only wants to make light to make the atmosphere less tensive. "Don't mind him, Chuma he's merely poking at a sense of humor," Kur stepped onto a ramp as they sighed, "Burakku's ship has a manuscript of spells to fall back on immediately and teleport all crew members and guests back to the boat in emergency situations including such little things of a dock falling apart it'll teleport some of the crew to get it safely back in stable condition then will dock elsewhere."

"Awe," Burakku huffed and placed his hands on his hips, "you took away my fun Kur," Burakku said with a teasing tone. Kur sighed before shaking his head, "it may be fun to tease others but please do not go too far with your jokes and your teasing and I do not believe Chuma wings that way to what you've hinting to," Kur patted Burakku's shoulder as they walked past Burakku. Burakku huffed, "you know me too well, m'lord Kur," Burakku gave a mocking tone before smirking as Chuma gave a confused look as he placed on his mask fully and readjusted his hat, and sped walked up to Kur's side.

"What do you mean?" Chuma asked as Kur looked over at Chuma as they hummed, "what did you mean by me 'not wings that way? What does that mean?" Kur raised an eyebrow before sighing," Burakku is homosexual and by the way, he was teasing you and showing more attention to you," Chuma stopped mid-step for a second as it hit him. "He was flirting? With me?!" Chuma asked showing a bit of uneasiness in his voice. "But I? I am a lich?!"

Kur shrugged their shoulders, "his standards are on a whole different level. But all I know as of now is anyone who is male and that is not ignorant he tenderly flirts with time and time again." Chuma made a physical shiver before looking back around to see Burakku scolding another demon then turned back around, "you could've warned me about his weird tastes." Walking a bit further as Kur sighed, "I honestly didn't expect for you to catch his attention at most it's sometimes very hard to read what he is thinking sometimes." Kur shrugged once more before stopping in their tracks blankly staring ahead.

"What's wrong, Kur?" Chuma asked as he noticed Kur's behavior before he stopped right next to Kur and looked in Kur's general line of sight. "I heard a shrilled scream... it's painful," Kur's lips twerked into a frown before they whispered, "just like the ones that day... everyone was in so much pain... I couldn't do anything to help any of them... I failed them that day." Chuma stiffened as he heard Kur whispering those words, before Kur could whisper more Chuma grabbed Kur's sleeve and shook him a bit. Kur snapped back before looking down at Chuma. The paled look on Kur's face explained it all for Chuma, Kur's past was a haunting memory for them.

"Kur it's okay," Chuma began, "you're with me," Kur slowly looked away as they took a deep breath and placed their own hand over Chuma's, and closed their eyes, "it's okay Kur, they are not angry or believe that you have failed them. You're here now to get closure for them... you didn't fail anyone." Kur gulped before relaxing, "Thank you I needed that Chuma," Kur looked up and let go of Chuma's hand as Chuma slowly released his grip on Kur's sleeve, "why do I feel all of these mixed emotions? Am I really a void, Chuma?" Kur asked solely to question themselves but Chuma sighed and patted Kur's sleeve.

"All that I know is that you are a very dear friend to me and to Velacera," Chuma started trying his best to comfort Kur, "I do not worry whether or not you are a blackhole or anything else you are a friend and only a friend to me it doesn't matter what status you hold here in the immortal plain." Kur took another deep breath and relaxed their posture. "Better?" Chuma asked as Kur nodded their head, "Better." Chuma gave a relieved sigh and gave a small smile underneath his mask as Burakku ran up to them. "That definitely was a scream and judging by the many numbers of shadows surrounding the compound up ahead they're putting on a show and are just waiting for us to crash the party there," Burakku huffed out as Kur gave a slight glare towards the horizon where Burakku pointed out where the so-called compound was located.

"Chuma?" Kur gave a hesitant voice. Chuma gripped tightly onto his sachel, "let's go knowing that scream all too well which means that someone is injured and they need medical attention." Kur nodded their head as they also nodded to Burakku, "keep all those who try to attack Chuma at bay and keep my six and four covered when I am focusing on Aku-Umi... I need closure to what they said at that time."

Kur tightened their fists before they moved forward as the rest followed suit, however, at the compound. The razor blades on the whip lashed onto Emerald's already torn wings ripping more of the feathers and flesh off of the bloody mesh. The cheering came from the many shadows as the whip got tossed in the air for another round of striking. Aku-Umi cheered as well as they watched as BloodStar raised their arm once more striking at the Lumerian right before them. "Lord Aku-Umi, please listen to my visions," Sabrena walked up to the throne-like chair as the sound of a muffled scream came from BloodStar's victim, Emerald, once more. "What is it this time, Sabrena?" Aku-Umi gave an annoyed groan as they sipped from the wine glass they held.

"I fear we may anger the one we were told to avoid, to begin with," Sabrena scoffed grabbing the crystal ball she carried around with her, "the star you attacked that I warned not to attack survived and is now seeking closure and they'll be here any moment and will surely lose their emotions and end your life today, I beg you for once and for all stop the harm to the lumerian or else you will seal your fate with death," Sabrena held out her crystal ball as an image appeared of Kur running with the others following behind, closer to Aku-Umi. Aku-Umi shoved it aside with a huff.

"You're blocking my show, woman," Aku-Umi scoffed, "if you fear this dead so badly then head back to Master I can handle myself perfectly fine begone, take a few shadows and leave my sight you are extremely annoying nagging me all the time." Aku-Umi huffed and took another sip of their wine. Sabrena gritted her teeth as she hooked her crystal ball back onto her belt and swiftly turned around growling.

"Fine," Sabrena growled out, "you have sealed your death I will be reporting back to the master and I will let them know that none of you will be returning and to prepare more allies. I hope you are ready to face death from the one that you caused due to your own stupidity. When you meet it say that you're sorry then maybe your core can be at least purified and be used once more you hypocritical male," Sabrena scoffed before leaving the room pointing at some of the shadows as they followed her out of the area. Aku-Umi scoffed as well as they swirled around their glass before taking another sip of their wine. "What an annoying woman I don't know why master assigned her to me but oh well gotta enjoy the show a bit longer before I stop BloodStar from killing the lumerian," Aku-Umi sighed taking another sip.
