I woke up on a hill with a single tree overlooking a large town. I stood up, and felt shorter than normal, maybe 4'8". I looked at my hands, and they were pale. I looked at my clothes, and saw I was wearing pink stalkings, a torn pink skirt, brown calf-high boots, and a pink and purple sweater. I aslo saw a pink blob floating around, and then I remembered the conversation with that women. I was a bête noire, also known as . . . a soul of FEAR.

I walked into town, and found it was bustling with humans and monsters. "Human, don't you know how to greet a new pal, turn around and shake my hand" a deep voice said. I turned around to shake the voices hand, but they put a woopie cushion in their hand. "The old woopie cushion in the hand trick, it's ALWAYS funny. My name's sans, sans the skeleton, how about you" sans asked. I remembered that I was a bête noire, and noire was close to my real last name, so I decided to keep the noire. "Betty Noire, Betty Noire the black beast" I answered. "You look pink to me" sans said. "Ever hear not to judge a book by its cover" I asked menacingly. "Sorry, I have some . . . bad memories . . . when it cones to discrimination and all that" I apologized. "You look lost, like some help. Tibia honest, I'm pretty good at helping" sans said, and I cracked up laughing. "Thanks, I'm new here. Some help would be nice" I said wiping away a tear of laughter.

Sans gave me a tour around town and explained how missions worked around here. He gave me 5 gold to get a registration, and told me I could pay it back later.

I knew I was overpowered, but then again, so was Betty in a way. I looked for a mission I could do, and saw a simple one to eliminate 5 giant frogs just out of the town that paid 50 gold. I took the mission and set off.

I found a giant frog just as a familiar blue haired girl punched it and got eaten. Akumu formed into a scythe, and I sliced the frog in half, releasing the blue haired girl. "So what are you doing in this world" I asked. "A jerk took me as his one thing he could take because I laughed at how lame his death was" she said pissed. Ah, gotcha" I said as I held the scythe behind my neck. "Aqua, are you okay, and who are you" a guy in a tracksuit asked out of breath. "I'm assuming your the guy aqua was talking about. Names Betty Noire. Let me ask ya something. Why take a goddess who did nothing wrong from her place and trap her in a fantasy world as petty vengeance" I asked as my eyes glowed a violent pink. "I see you're going by a different name" aqua inquired. "Eh, soundwise, I just took the 'A' out if the end of my last name" I said. "Anyways, this is kazuma, a NEET" aqua introduced her friend. "If he hasn't identified what I am, he isn't a NEET" I said. "Yeah, what are you" kazuma asked. I facepalmed. "A person who claims to be a NEET, but doesn't know of glitchtale" I sighed. "Let's do this again, the name is Betty Noire, Betty Noire the Bête Noire" I said leaving kazuma in confusion. "I loved that animation" aqua said. "The goddess who lived in a literal VOID knows what glitchtale is, and you don't. You useless human" I said. "Get dunked on" aqua teased. "Welp, I've got more frogs to kill" I said as a ran off to kill more frogs.

When I returned, I hadn't even broken a sweat, and I turned in the assignment and obtained 50 gold. I saw a familiar skeleton, and went back to pay him. "Hey there sans" I greeted. "Hey kid, back so soon. You don't look like you broke a sweat" he said. "Helps to have a ridiculously high stamina stat" I said, "anyways, thanks for earlier, and as I promised, heres the gold I owe ya" I said as I gave him 5 gold. "No prob kid. Just don't betray me . . . or you're gonna have a bad time" sans threatened. "You can count on me" I said. "Welp, see ya kid, I've gotta go hang out with my group" sans said as he left. He was nice, and I wouldn't mind being friends with him.

I walked out of the guild hall, only to realize I had no place to go. I didn't mind though, my skin was numb to the cold, and I wasn't even winded from today's activities. I walked around town, and decided to watch the stars. "Beutiful night out, isn't it akumu" I asked my companion. It made a grunt that resembled a yes, and I drifted off to sleep for comfort.
