Abandon.

The hazy afternoon sunlight wove through the lacy white clouds, and the sounds of carriage wheels clopping along the mud coated ground whirled all around London.

I strolled throughout the busy, bustling town, delighting in the attractions that I laid my eyes on. All the shops, and businesses were open to the public, and so many people were swarming in between the nooks of the city.

Fretting not about the small droplets of condensation that trickled down to my chin I marveled at all of the alluring, captivating sights from underneath my black umbrella that shielded me from the direct sun rays.

I felt weaker in the daylight due to the sunshine, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from enjoying the clamorous charm of London in the daytime.

Children chased each other down the thin alleys, prying their parents towards the adorable all set up windows of the toy stores, and the fresh aroma of just baked pastries swept within the quaint hamlets.

Nudging shoulders with a couple of noble townsfolk I meandered down the muddy lane, the soles of my boots getting caked with brown sludge.

Waltzing past a little girl all dressed in vibrant pinks, and greens I heard her sniffle quietly to herself, a torn teddy bear in her tiny, little hands.

Pausing dead in my tracks I bent down so that I was at her eye level, and smiled warmly at her.

"Is your bear hurt?" I adhered, but then I saw her plump red cheeks become more drenched with her tears as she gazed upon my fangs.

"Don't cry, please. I'm not evil. I just want to help you." I divulged, taking the ripped little stuffed animal out of her clutches.

"Y-You're scary!" She shrieked, immediately running away from me despite how kind I thought I had seemed.

With a small sigh I stood back up, and went out of the main part of the crowded streets back behind some alley where there was less sunlight.

Crouching down with my knees firmly pressed against my chest I sat with my closed umbrella at my side, the hood of my cape draped over the top of my head.

Grabbing some fawn brown thread, and a needle I began to repair the split open teddy bear. Pushing its white stuffing back into its stomach before threading the sharp needle through the divided snagging area.

Though, interrupting me in my work I heard a mans muffled voice say something to me, causing me to avert my attention away from the bear.

"Hey, woman are you a slave?" A noble gentleman decked out in the finest wool's, and furs questioned, a hint of a snide look to him.

"No, I'm not." I responded, grasping hold of the edge of my velvet capes hood, pulling the fabric further forward, covering up more of my face.

Though my small action seemed to have angered the man, and before I knew it I felt him clasp his golden ring accented hand around my jawline, forcing me to gaze up at him.

"Well, you're quite the dandy. I bet I could sell you for a lot of pounds, or perhaps... I could keep you all to myself." He spoke with a sly gaze filled with nothing, but greed, and lust.

But, before I could defend myself, and get away from the sleaze I noticed a black cloud appear, the dark wavy strings wrapping tightly around the mans arms, and legs. Then his torso, and neck. Strangling him as Sebastian appeared, sauntering over to the trapped noble male with a deadly look set across his gleaming magenta hues.

"Don't touch her, foolish human." Sebastian threatened before gripping his black claws around the mans neck, piercing through his trachea, killing him instantly.

"Sebby, why did you kill him?" I hastened, watching in horror as the noble males body oozed out blood onto the cobblestone ground.

"He touched you. A filthy human dared to graze his fingers along your chin."

I stood back up, and skipped over to him, intertwining my hand within his.

"So, you're going to kill every person that touches me?"

"Yes." Sebastian simply spoke, acting like his answer was nothing at all as he took my umbrella, and opened it back up above me.

"Why are you out in the daylight when I told you not to?"

I took the umbrella handle from him, and glanced up at the creamy blue sky.

"Well, it was a beautiful day, and I wanted to enjoy it."

"Let's go." He ordered, pulling me gently, but I halted in my tracks.

"I can't go yet. I have to do something first."

Reluctantly, Sebastian followed me around all over London as I searched for the little girls home, eventually finding it since I had followed the same scent that was on the stuffed animal.

Jumping up onto her windowsill I carefully opened the window to her bedroom, and placed the fixed teddy bear onto her lace lined pillow. All ready for her whenever she would get back home.

Sliding the window back shut behind me I turned to leave, noticing Sebastian's look of confusion.

"You fixed a child's teddy bear?"

I nodded, taking the lead as we traveled to the outskirts of town.

"Yes, I had tried to fix it for her earlier, but she cried, and told me I was scary." I explained with a slight crack webbing onto my words, and I felt Sebastian's grip around my hand tighten.

"It's not you. Children, and animals can sense the darkness in you, and me unlike adults who become ignorant to it."

"Oh, that's why..." I said as we reached a field of wildflowers, making me stop.

My sadness faded as I watched the vibrant small blossoms dance within the chilled evening breeze, their green stems wisping from side to side.

Strolling into the large field that came to my knees I went underneath the shade of a grand oak tree, and took a seat.

"What are you doing?" Sebastian asked, but I just curved my lips upward, and forced him to sit beside me.

Leaning my back against the sturdy bark of the trunk I gazed up at the violet dusk sky, seeing the shimmering stars begin to appear one by one.

"Isn't it pretty, Sebby? The night sky."

"I don't care for gazing upon such things." He answered, but I merely brushed his comment aside, bringing his tainted black hand close to my face, and breathing on it.

"Your hands are cold."

Sebastian's eyes narrowed, and he ripped his arm out of my grasp.

"Demons don't care if their hands are cold."

"Well, I do." I insisted, pulling his hand back, and lightly grazing the pads of my warm fingers along his cool skin, slowly melting away the iciness.

"Thank you, Sebby. For saving me earlier. I know that I can't really do much in the daytime."

"You wouldn't be able to do much at night either," Sebastian began. "Since you still care for every weak, pathetic human."

I merely laughed at his words, nestling down beside him, and leaning my head against his shoulder, a sudden wave of forwardness washing over me.

"Sebby, can we stay like this forever?"

His glistening magenta iris's glanced down at me, his pale, handsome features outlined by the incandescent moonlight.

"If you'd like."

"Then, can I say something?" I inquired, earning but a mere nod from him.

Shifting slightly I leaned in closer to him, my hand placed on his shoulder as I moved towards his face. Just barely I brushed my lips against his own before I leaned over to his ear.

"I love you..." I quietly murmured out.

"Demons cannot feel love." I heard him argue, to which I shook my head.

"No, they can. So, do you love me as well?" I purred, pressing my index finger against his chest. "Am I in your heart no matter how dark, and corrupted it may be?"

I felt Sebastian caress my rosy cheeks softly, and gingerly, treating me as if I were made of paper. His expression lightening as nothing but affection, and longing strung across his face. And, slowly he pinned me to the grass coated soil, binding my hands above my head with one hand.

"If it makes you pleased then yes, I do love you, Elsbeth. I'll show you..." Sebastian cooed in a velvety, yet lust filled accent before un-clipping my cloak, and carefully unlacing my dress with his skilled fingers.

I gasped at his cool touch against my warm flesh as our lips connected, and as our exposed bodies molded together. His hands grazing sensually along my curves, making me melt into him.

Everything else seemed to fade away, and with every spark of electricity that came with each touch I just let Sebastian continue, enjoying each moment that passed. I let my guard down, and just wrapped my arms around him as our bodies collided against each others.

In a groggy, and hazy stake I awoke to the sound of muffled bird chirps. Rubbing my tired, still half asleep eyes I noticed that I was in an entrance to a cave, just across from the wildflower field, out of the broad morning sunlight.

I then realized that my naked, sore figure was covered in my black cape, and then I observed one key fact... That I was alone.

For the first time since I first met Sebastian I awoke to being by myself, his face not the first thing that I laid my eyes onto.

A sudden quake of fear struck over me like a lightning bold, and my widening sky orbs clouded with dismay just danced around wildly, hoping that he'd appear again, but he didn't.

"Sebby! Sebby?" I screamed out, sounding like a helpless animal who was in despair.

But, despite how loudly I called out I received no answer...
