(The Next Day)

"Sapphire, I don't think it's a good idea for you to go to school with that demon hunter there." Nighttime said concern.

"It's fine I just gotta make sure that my eyepatch stays on and keep my cool while I'm at school." Sapphire explained while putting a piece of toast in her mouth.

"Yeah, but still I dont want you being around those people after all they did kill your mother, for loving your father and having you." Nighttime stated.

"I know that Nighttime, but it'll seem suspicious if I stop going to school now. I can't look the least bit suspicious as long as Bethany is there, so that she won't find out I'm half demon." Sapphire explained.

"Well at least let me come along with you." Nighttime pleaded.

"What?! No I can't have you come with me! How do you think it'll look to Bethany when she sees me with a Gremlin?" Sapphire asked.

"Don't worry I'm invisible to all humans... aside from young kids, but your school is full of teenagers." Nighttime explained.

Sapphire thought about this for a moment before agreeing to allow Nighttime to go with her to school under the condition that he hides in her hoodie and states hidden. Nighttime agreed with it as he didnt want to be in the sunlight at all and it would make it harder for him to remain invisible. So Sapphire got out the black hoodie Oliver gave her the other day and put it on.

Nighttime then slipped inside the hoodie and crawled up to Sapphire's back before resting his arms on her shoulders and going to sleep. Sapphire then grabbed her backpack and headed off to school hoping that Nighttime wouldn't give her away.

(At Oliver's House)

Oliver just got done getting ready for school and was about to leave when he remembered Sapphire's hoodie. He picked it up and stared at it for a while before smelling it as it still had Sapphire's lovely scent in it.

"Ah, I can't wait to see her again. Every moment I'm away from her is like toriter to me. I need to go see her now or else I'm going to lose it." Oliver said to himself before rushing out the door and to the school grounds.

(Later)

Oliver looked around for Sapphire and soon spotted her standing alone at the front of the school. He found it strange as he'd normally see her with her friends, but he saw it as an opportunity to get closer to her as they could be alone now. So he went up to her and greeted her as usual.

"Hey Sapphire, how are you doing?" Oliver asked with a big smile on his face.

"Huh? Oh hey Oliver I'm doing alright just a bit upset as my other friends can't come into school today." Sapphire explained.

"Oh? Why is that?" Oliver asked.

"Well Shara got strep throat from her brother, a relative in Ben's family had passed away last night, and Charles broke his leg when he tried doing a move on his bike so he's in the hospital." Sapphire explained.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that, but hey we can always go see them after school." Oliver suggested.

"Yeah, but still I hope they get better." Sapphire said, still slightly upset.

"HEY YO SAPPHIRE!" A girl's voice called out.

Sapphire recognized the voice and when she looked up from her phone she saw a familiar face. A girl with black hair, glasses, a blue T-shirt, and black paints was running up to her with a big smile on her face and waving her arm in the air.

"Taylor?!" Sapphire was surprised to see her.

Taylor then ran up to her and gave her a hug before pulling away and holding her hands.

"Sapphire! It's been so long, I haven seen you since elementary school!" Taylor said.

"Yeah it has been, I didn't expect to see you again. How have you been?" Sapphire asked.

"I've been great! And I'm doing even better now that I'm back here! Oh how I've missed Denver!" Taylor said happily.

"Um pardon me, but who are you and how do you and Sapphire know each other?" Oliver asked.

"Oh right, Oliver this is Taylor, Taylor this is Oliver and I know Taylor because she went to my old elementary school, but we lost touch when her father got a new job and they moved out of state." Sapphire explained.

"Ah okay that makes sense. Well I'm Oliver and it's nice to meet you Taylor." Oliver said.

"By the way Taylor, what brings you back?" Sapphire asked.

"My dad got another job back here so we moved back here. I also found out through your father that you were going to this school so my parents enrolled me here as they know that I'd like to see you again." Taylor explained.

"Oh well that's good to know. Hey why don't we talk more at lunch, school's about to start and I don't want to be late." Sapphire suggested.

"Sounds good to me! I can't wait to catch up with you Sapphire. It feels like forever since we last saw each other." Taylor said excited to catch up with her old friend again.

(At lunch)

Taylor and Sapphire were going through the lunch line and gathered up the food they wanted.

'So Sapphire want to tell my why the fucking hell you brought Nighttime with you?' Taylor asked Sapphire thru thor psychic link.

'Oh you know he's in my hoodie sleeping?' Sapphire asked.

'Yeah you know that I can since another demon presents.' Taylor explained.

'Well there's a demon hunter here, her name is Bethany and Nighttime was worried about me, so he offered to come along.' Sapphire explained.

'How can he help? He's a part of the lowest class of demons. His kind can only hold up a fight if they're in a pack.' Taylor explained.

'I know, but he can give me a heads up about something when I'm in trouble.' Sapphire explained.

'Okay well just be careful you know he can't be in the light.' Taylor explained.

'Don't worry this isn't the first time I brought him out with me.' Sapphire reassured her.

'How have you not gotten in trouble with your father yet?' Taylor asked.

'I don't know.' Sapphire said.

The two were soon done getting their lunches, but when they went to go sit at a table Bethany "accidently" knocked Sapphire's tray out of her hands.

"Oh I'm so sorry about that." Bethany faked an apology before going back to her seat.

"Is that Bethany?" Taylor asked.

"Yeah, that's her, so be careful around her." Sapphire said.

"Okay I will... and hey not all of your food is ruined... well aside from your tots." Taylor said.

"Yeah *sigh* shame, I really like tots." Sapphire said.

"Hey Sapphire, you can have my tots." Oliver offered.

Sapphire looked up from her tray and saw Oliver handing her his tots. "Aww thanks Oliver." Sapphire said as she collected what was still edible, took Oliver's tots and took her seat.

"Hey thanks for doing that for Sapphire Oliver." Taylor said.

"Anytime, oh I just remembered, here Sapphire I cleaned your hoodie last night." Oliver said and handed it to her.

"Oh thanks, hey do you want this hoodie back?" Sapphire asked.

"No you can keep it." Oliver politely refused.

"Oh so I can keep it?" Sapphire asked.

"Yeah, consider it as a gift." Oliver offered.

"Thanks Oliver." Sapphire said while smiling.

(Later after school)

Taylor and Sapphire were at the coffee shop that Oliver worked at having some coffee and talking.

"So Bethany's a demon hunter and she's trying to expose you?" Taylor asked.

"Yeah she is and I'm scared the demon inside of me is dangerous and a few days ago I killed a burglar." Sapphire admitted while looking down in shame.

"Hey Sapphire it's alright you didn't know what you were doing so it's alright." Taylor tried to reassure her.

"That's easier for you to say your demon is under control, mine's harder to control because it's a higher class." Sapphire explained.

"I know it's hard for you... hey why don't I spend the night at your house?" Taylor suggested.

"Sorry but my dad isn't home so I can't have friends over till he gets back." Sapphire explained.

"Oh right well I guess I can wait till he comes back right?" Taylor asked.

"Yeah I guess you can, I'm sure he'll be back in another two days." Sapphire said.

"Alright well I better get home to my folks and I still have a lot of unpacking to do. Oh and we're back in our old house so you're welcome to come by anytime." Taylor offered.

"Thanks Taylor, I'll see you around then." Sapphire said and waved goodbye to her friend.

(Later that day)

Sapphire was walking home as it was getting late and she had to get home. Nighttime then popped his head out of Sapphire's hoodie and looked around unnerved.

"Hey Nighttime are you alright?" Sapphire asked.

"Yeah it's just that I feel like someone is following us." Nighttime explained.

"Why's that?" Sapphire asked.

"Well I just sense human presents." Nighttime said.

"Nighttime we're outside your going to sense humans." Sapphire explained.

"No it's not that it's just that I've been sensing this human presents science you got to school, and I know that other humans can't see me, but the fact that this one is following us I can't help but feel like he's staring right at me." Nighttime explained.

Sapphire then stopped dead in her tracks and looked behind her to see if she could find this human. However she didn't see anyone which told her that whoever this person is must be a great hider.

"Nighttime what do we do if this guy follows us home?" Sapphire asked.

"I don't know normally I'm the one doing the stalking when I need to feed off of a child's fear." Nighttime explained.

"Well let's try and shake him off our tails." Sapphire suggested.

"Good Idea we can't have him finding out where we live." Nighttime said and let Sapphire do her thing.

Sapphire then went into the busiest part of town that always had people all throughout the day and night. After about an hour Nighttime couldn't sense the human that was following them anymore so he informed Sapphire of this.

"Okay good now let's head home." Sapphire said, but stopped when she saw a pizza joint.

"Hey, want to go get some Pizza first?" Sapphire asked.

"Oh yeah, who doesn't like Pizza and besides you don't have school tomorrow so hey Pizza and a movie score!" Nighttime exclaimed excitedly.

"Yeah I agree." Sapphire said and went inside to order herself and Nighttime some Pizza.

"So Nighttime what would you like?" Sapphire asked.

"Eh any pizza is good, just as long as it doesn't have pineapple on it I hate pineapple" Nighttime said.

"I do too, so don't worry about it." Sapphire said and went up to the counter to order.

"Hello I'd like a large meat supreme pizza, with a coke to drink,... oh I'd also like some lemon chicken wings, but that'll make this order too expensive so I'll just go with the garlic bread." Sapphire ordered.

"Okay miss, just take a seat and your order will be out in a few." The worker said.

"Okay thanks, oh and make it a take out as I'll be taking it home with me." Sapphire said.

"Alright take out, we'll call you up when your order is ready." The worker said and went to tell the chef the order.

Sapphire then went to a nearby table and sat down to wait for her order.

(Meanwhile with Oliver)

Oliver was hiding in the pizza shop watching Sapphire and saw her making her order. He also saw her being sad that she couldn't order wings, so he decided to do something for her.

He went up to the counter and ordered some wings and cookies for Sapphire along with paying for her food. The worker did not question it as they just wanted to get paid and they don't really get paid enough to ask customers questions.

(Few minutes later)

"Order 25 for a Miss Sapphire!" The worker called out, catching Sapphire's attention.

Sapphire then got up from her seat and went up to the counter to take her order. However she saw the wings and cookies along with her pizza, drink, and garlic bread.

"Um hey I didn't order wings or cookies, this is too much for me to pay for." Sapphire explained.

"Actually someone ordered them for you and paid for your meal miss." The worker explained.

"Oh really? Who?" Sapphire asked.

"Don't know I didn't really bother to ask." The worker explained.

"Huh strange." Sapphire said to herself.

"Just accept it kid, you got a free meal and that's a win!" Nighttime exclaimed happily.

"Um, well okay tell them that I said thank you." Sapphire said and took her food before leaving the shop and going home.

Oliver meanwhile was still in there watching her happy that he made her happy.

'Oh my dear Sapphire, you will be mine one day.' Oliver thought to himself before leaving to go home.

Nighttime then popped his head and torso off of Sapphire's hoodie and smelled the food.

"Ah that smells so good I can't wait to eat it." Nighttime said.

"Yeah me too, I love pizza and lemon chicken wings." Sapphire said.

"Yeah me too and I have a good idea for a movie to watch." Sapphire said.

"Oh what is it then?" Nighttime asked.

"You're just gonna have to wait and see, it's a Marvel movie so I think you'll like it." Sapphire said with a smile on her face.

(Later at Oliver's house)

Oliver opened the door and saw his mother sitting on the couch.

"Oh Oliver, your home, good I wanted to speak to you about something." Oliver's mother said.

"Hey mom, what do you want?" Oliver asked while crossing his arms.

"Well I've noticed that you've been quite happy lately, and as someone who ruined my life I don't like that!" Oliver's mother said cruelly.

"So what do you mean by that?" Oliver asked.

"It means that we're moving somewhere else so whatever is making you happy will be gone." Oliver's mother stated.

"WHAT NO! I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE HERE!" Oliver screamed.

"WELL TO BAD YOU RUINED MY LIFE YOU LITTLE BRAT SO THE ONLY THING I CAN DO NOW IS MAKE YOUR LIFE A MISERY!" Oliver's mother screamed back before smacking his face which sent him flying to the ground.

"Start packing your stuff we'll be leaving next week and you don't have a say in this you little brat." Oliver's mother coldly said before going to her room.

'Nononono! I can't leave. I don't want to lose Sapphire. Mom, you've always made my life a misery for no reason and you've always said I've ruined your life. Well then if I ruined your life then I guess I'll take it as well.' Oliver thought to himself.

His eyes then glowed bright red indicating that he just went into yandere mode. He then got up off the floor and went up to his room to get his stuff to make his mother stop making his life a misery.

'I won't allow anyone to take Sapphire from me, not even my own family. I hate you mom so I'll be making sure that you will never make my life a misery again.' Oliver said as he put on his gloves, mask hoodie and grabbed his ax, knife, and gun.

'Now mom it's time for you to meet your maker.' Oliver thought to himself as he left his room.

Meanwhile Oliver's mother was in her room packing up some stuff to get ready for the move when all the power in their house went out.

"Agh really?" Oliver's mom angrily asked before going down into the basement to see what happened.

When she got down there she took a look at the power box and saw that all the switches were turned off.

"Ugh Oliver if you did this then you're getting a good beating." Oliver's mom said as she turned the switches back on.

"Actually it'll be you who will get a beating tonight, and it'll be the last one you ever have." An adult man's voice said.

Oliver's mom quickly turned around and saw a masked man standing not too far away from her. Oliver's mother screamed and tried to run away from the man, but he was faster and pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the stomach.

"AGH! WHO ARE YOU?!" Oliver's mother asked while groaning in pain.

The man did not respond and just kept on stabbing her till she fell to the ground in pain.

"Hehe you don't even recognize me. I'm the one whose life you've been trying to ruin forever now. I grew in your goddamn womb and the one who you claim ruined your life." The man said before lifting his mask up showing his face.

Oliver's mothers eyes widened when she saw that the person who was attacking her was her own son.

"O-Oliver w-why are y-you doing t-this to your o-own mother?" His mother asked in shock while looking into her son's glowing red eyes.

"Why 'cause you're trying to ruin my life and I can't take it anymore. You're also trying to separate me from the love of my life by making us move, so I'm making sure that you'll never interfere with my life ever again." Oliver said as he grabbed his ax and slammed it down on his mothers head cutting it open spilling her blood and brains everywhere.

Oliver took a moment to look at his handy work before thinking about what to do to keep the police from finding out he did this. He knew for a fact that if the cops found out that he killed his own mother he'd definitely be arrested and would never see Sapphire again.

"Hmm ah ha I'll just dump her body in the nearby picnic area and let someone find her. Sure they might get traumatized by it, but anything to keep the police off my ass and allow me to stay with Sapphire." Oliver said to himself as he started collecting his mothers body and dragging it out of the house.

He was very careful to make sure that he wasn't seen by anyone and managed to get his mothers body to the picnic area and leave it there.

"Hehe sorry mom but if you havent tried to separate me from my Sapphire then none of this wouldn't have happened. But hey now you're in eternal paradise so I hope you have fun now that I'm not there to ruin your life any more." Oliver said to his mother's corps before heading back home.

"Hehe and hey I might get to live with my aunt now and she'll be better to me then you ever will me, you whore!" Oliver called out to his mom's dead body as he walked home to clean up the mess there and to prepare for the visit from the police to inform him of his mothers death.
