Chapter 1
Annabeth Chase is a very important Demigoddess being the Daughter of Athena, Architect of Olympus, and the best friend of Nathaniel Potter the Son of Poseidon and Legacy of Hecate along with being the Hero of Olympus twice over. But what happens when she comes across a Demigod who is more important than her best friend? That is what happens when she meets Percy Jackson the Descendant of Arturia Pendragon.
"But there are no such thing as gods!" she heard a voice shout from the Big House. "You're all crazy!"
"Percy," she heard Chiron say to the new Demigod as the Daughter of Athena walked over to get a better look at him. He had blond hair, stunning sea-green eyes, and a beach tan. He was wearing a dark blue jacket, a pair of faded jeans, and a pair of black Adidas.
"No Mr. Brunner!" Percy shouted. "There is no such thing as gods!"
"Then who am I to you, Peter Johnson?" Dionysis asked him.
"Hello Chiron," Annabeth said as she sat down in a chair. "Who is this?"
"This is Percy Jackson," Chiron replied. "An unclaimed Demigod."
"There are no such things as demigods!" Percy shouted at the disguised Centaur. "I said it once, and I'll say it again: You're all crazy! I don't believe in gods!"
"Oh you'd better," Mr. D murmured. "Before one of them incinerates you."
"No human being can incinerate another," Percy scoffed. "Who are you anyway?"
"Chiron!" Mr. D admonished. "Did you not teach this boy here anything?!"
"Sadly, he wasn't paying much attention," Chiron replied as Percy rubbed the back of his head with a sheepish smile on his face. "Percy, this is Mr. D..."
As Chiron spoke, Mr. D waved his hand and made a goblet appear, before filling it with wine as Percy looked on with an open jaw.
"And he's here because he offended his father a while back, took a fancy to a wood nymph who had been declared off-limits," Chiron told him.
"A wood nymph," Percy repeated, staring at the goblet filled with wine, before jumping at a sound of thunder in the clear sky.
"Mr. D," Chiron warned. "Your restrictions."
"Dear me." He looked at the sky and yelled, "Old habits! Sorry!"
More thunder boomed and, waving his hand, the wine glass turned into a can of Diet Coke, making Percy's eyes become even wider.
"Who-who is your father?" Percy asked Mr. D, feeling faint.
"Di immortales, Chiron," Mr. D said. "I thought you taught this boy the basics... My father is Zeus of course."
"D-Dionysis," Percy said with a slight stutter.
And with that said, Percy Jackson fainted due to having his brain overloaded in a short time span.
"That was... expected," Annabeth said looking at the unclaimed Demigod that was on the ground unconscious. "Do we take him back to the infirmary or just place him in the Big House?"
Chiron sighed and said, "Take him to the guest bedroom in the Big House, Annabeth."
Annabeth nodded and, with Grover's help, took Percy into the Big House and Chiron called Percy's mother, Sally Jackson.
"Hello Sally," Chiron said to Percy's mother. "Your son is here at camp healthy as can be."
"..."
"Ms. Jackson?" Chiron asked, before flinching at the glare the Jackson matriarch was sending him through the Iris Message.
"Don't lie to me Chiron," Sally said in a tone that Morgana le Fey would be proud of. "What has happened to my son?"
"He is unconscious due to a brain overload," Chiron replied. "I must ask... What are his beliefs?"
Sally sighed and said, "We... never really had any beliefs, Chiron. I know for sure that he doesn't believe in any of the Greco-Roman stories that I used to tell him. But he does believe that King Arthur actually existed, along with Camelot and all of that."
"What do you know of the Arthurian Legends, Ms. Jackson?" Chiron asked curiously.
Sally then gave him a mischievous smile and said, "S-E-C-R-E-T."
Chiron sighed and said, "What can you tell me about his father? What are his skills?"
"Look at Percy and you'll know who his father is," Sally told him. "As for his skills, he's absolutely dreadful at archery, but he's the best swordsman I've ever seen. He's loyal as well, so much so that I'm afraid it's his fatal flaw."
"What of his powers?" Chiron asked her.
"Water manipulation," Sally replied before looking at the time. "I am sorry to cut this conversation of ours short, Chiron, but I must get going. I have a date to get to. Thank you for telling me about my son."
After the Jackson matriarch waved her hand through the IM, Chiron muttered, "Not like I had a choice from the way you looked at me, Ms. Jackson."
A few days later, Percy woke up to the sight of a beautiful blonde-haired young woman with a Californian tan and startling grey eyes that scanned a book that she was reading and the young woman said, "You drool in your sleep you know that?"
"Where am I?" Percy asked the young woman in front of him. "Who are you?"
"You are at Camp Half-Blood in the infirmary," the young woman replied as she marked her place and set the book down. "As for who I am, my name is Annabeth Chase the Daughter of Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and Battle Strategy."
Percy was silent until Annabeth asked, "Is there something wrong Mr. Jackson?"
"It's Percy," Percy replied. "Do they actually exist? Poseidon, Hades, Apollo etc.?"
"Yes," Annabeth replied, their eyes meeting.
"And I'm the son of a god?" Percy asked.
"You wouldn't be able to enter camp if you weren't," Annabeth replied. "Why are you so skeptical about all this?"
"It just seems impossible," Percy replied. "How can they be alive if they're myths? Legends that were told throughout time?"
"Trust me, Percy," Annabeth said. "They are not myths. They are very real, very dangerous."
"If the Olympians are real," Percy began after a few minutes of awkward silence between the two. "Are the Arthurian Legends real too? Does Excalibur actually exist?"
Annabeth sighed and said, "That, I'm afraid, is just a legend. At least, as far as I know. I'm going to be right back, Chiron would want to speak with you now that you're back."
Once she left, Percy clenched his fist and said, "If it does exist, I'm going to find Avalon and bring back Excalibur for my family's honor to be restored. I swear it on my honor and soul."
