(I know now, who will actually catch me when I fall....)

Annual Prom night. One of the most precious nights for the lovers, I guess. Some of them have their hearts broken, as refused, and others are waiting for the ultimate night. I donot ususaly attend proms as I'm single, and do not really know how to mingle. But I also find Proms creepy bacause I visited once, some years ago when I was quite young. I found my seniors kissing and dancing, which I found really weird.

Perry and Debby were busy in showing off themselves in front of their crush, Harry, the jerk. I don't know how many hearts he has broken with his seducing smirk. Perry is crushing on him since two years and so is Debby. Harry is friendly with both of them, let's see whom does he go to the Prom with. Pam was praying and hoping that Karma, one of the hottest Chinese guys of our school and an amazing dancer, would go to the Prom with her. I saw her practicing, how to present herself and ask him. She was worth him, as she was amazing and pretty. Sally was after Justin, he was worth crushing on too. But Sally was way younger than him, which was the only problem. She was afraid that Justin might refuse her. Ausi was trying her luck out with Pit. I find Pit's name weird, maybe he has some other name which I'm not aware of. Sammy has a crush too, Josh. I thought her to be very much serious, but I realized that she also has a heart which melts for boys and not studies. Linda was after a guy whose name I did not know, he was new in school and he was from Boston. So I call him Boston. Maho was addicted to Eric, and so was Eric to her. So Maho had no problem about asking him and all, it was obvious that they were going there together.

All my friends were interested in someone, I wonder what's going to happen to me on this lonely planet.

I was thinking and observing my surroundings carefully, and I swear it was so much interesting ! I was in the play ground, looking for something interesting, not expecting I would find so much. Our school surrounded the play ground. The play ground was exceptionally crowded and noisy that day. Suddenly, there was complete silence. I wondered what went wrong. Then I realized that I was being stared at. Did I unknowingly do something great ?

Then I saw some people staring at something, scrolling their heads from third floor to ground floor. I turned, and my mouth dropped open. There was a broad paper hanging from top floor to ground floor. It read, "PROM, ANNA ?" , written with sparkles. I did not know that so much sparkle even existed.

Then Mike came into vision, he had a bunch of flowers in his hands. He approached me and said,"Prom with me ?" , and handed over the flowers. Still in shock, I said,"Do you expect me to say no ?". Everyone cheered and I was still shocked.

2 hours before the Prom

Now I too had to get ready for the Prom, but I did not have to be nervous because Mike was a very good friend. But I did feel nervous, because everyone is going to look their best, and I hardly had anything special to wear. I took out everything from my cupboard, but all I had were t-shirs, jeans, shorts, and all boy-ish things. Where was I going to get some girl stuffs then ?

I know ! 

"Hey, please help me out in dressing up Debby !"

"What ? Anna, two hours are still left ! Why are you getting ready from now ?"

"Ugh, I actually don't have anything to wear or anny kind of make-up stuffs, my hair in a bad condition because I did something with it ...."

"What did you do to your hair ?"

"I was trying to make bun or something but it ended up entangled, and my hair is looking like a bird's nest."

"Oh no ! I'm coming to your rescue !" , and she hung up.

I looked around to face the big mess that I had created. 

Debby reached my house within half an hour. She brought along with her all that I needed.

"Get ready Anna! You are in the hands of *The great Debby !* , so sit back and relax.", she announced.

I was in my car with Debbby. I was finally ready for the night, Debby looked good, and Debby said that I would look the best tonight. We were already ten minutes late, till the time we reached we'd be more delayed.

I wonder why was I so slow. We kept on poking the driver to drive fast. I'm sure he was very annoyed. But I was mean enough not to care about the driver at present.

Mike's P.O.V.

I wonder where she is, no texts no calls, is she sick ? Or she does not want to come because of me ? It's been 30 minutes since the students have started coming and by now I guess everyone is here, I thought, and as I turned towards the door to check for the thousandth time, I finally saw her.

My angel was looking magically beautiful, like a princess. A princess ? No one could compete with her. As she smiled and walked towards me, everything seemed to be in slow motion, and I could see nothing else except her glowing and nervous-smiling face. Why was she nervous? I should be nervous not she ! She came near me, and looked into my eyes. I wanted time to pause, and I did not want to look away from her eyes. Her cheek, turned red, ehich made her look prettier. Finally her lips moved to say,"Hey Mike !" , her voice was enough to bring me back to Earth.

"Oh hey, Anna", I was almost drooling.

Anna's P.O.V

I wished that he liked however I looked. I asked,"So, how do I look ?"

"Perfect.", he replied.

Remember those walls I built ? Well baby they're tumling down, and they didn't even put up a fight , they didn't even make a sound....

Mike said in his super romantic voice, "May I have a dance with you ?"

I smiled and put my hand into his. We danced. I felt really good, not wierd at all, maybe because Mike was a close friend.

We danced and danced and I looked around to spot my friends. I was happy for all of them, as they were all happy. I saw Harry dancing with Perry and Debby with Ezra. Debby is quick at changing her mind. I saw Perry and Harry kissing, and hoped that Harrt won't break one more heart. They looked really beautiful together.

Then Mike took my attention away from them and caught it in his hands. He was so gentle and sweet, I enjoyed dancing with him. If only Chester had never stepped into my life, I would definitely fall in love with Mike.

But Chester was gone. So why couldn't I fall for Mike ? I could ! I don't know what I was thinking but I kissed Mike ! Yes I did ! 

I pulled away to see his face, he seemed to be shocked, but then he smiled and we kissed again ! 

I found my love tonight !
