Two months had passed, and you had been seeing Thor frequently. He came into the center about every other week, asking questions about caring for Aric. Apparently, he wasn't very Internet savvy. He also said that his job causes a lot of stress, and being around the animals - and talking to you - eased his nerves.

Not that you were against the visits. Thor was always so sweet and funny, and you loved to see that the puppy had gotten a good home.

Aric was already getting so big. He was quite the rambunctious puppy too. His bright blue eyes made your heart melt every time Thor brought him in.

One day, you had just gotten off of work and were heading to your car when Thor showed up. He had Aric with him, who was tugging excitedly on the leash at the sight of you.

"Hey, guys!" You waved before tossing your purse into your car.

"Hello, (Y/N)!" called Thor.

They reached you and Aric scrambled to your feet, jumping up and yipping at you. "Hello, sweetie!" You cooed at the puppy.
You looked up at Thor. "So, what brings you around here?"

Thor smiled brightly. "I have a question for you."

"Okay. Shoot," you said while bending down to scratch the dog's ears.

"Would you meet me at the park tomorrow, at high noon? I have prepared a picnic, and there is a glorious shaded spot under the oak tree. I thought it would be a perfect place go for a... what you humans call a... a date!" He grinned triumphantly, proud of himself for remembering the term.

It wasn't the kind of question you were expecting, and you were pleasantly surprised. "Sure! Do you want me to bring anything?" You decided to ignore his use of 'you humans.'

"Only yourself."

"Alright," you said, blushing slightly, "but on one condition."

He seemed intrigued. "And what would that be?"

"This little guy gets to come too." You gestured to Aric, who had decided to plop himself down on the toe of your shoe.

"Of course," Thor chuckled.

"See you then!"

"Farewell."
