Recollection

"That was the stupidest plan you have ever come up with," Tony said in the most caring and anger-filled tone I think he could muster. I only let out a sigh and stay slumped against the table. My head is barely being held up by the muscles in my neck, as fatigue was starting to show. "Did you have a better one?" I lazily ask, waving a hand out slightly. "Because I was getting tired of waiting for you guys to do something." The slight hostility in my voice shocked me a bit, but I try to relax. The pendant was starting to lose its power, and I knew this was merely a side effect of the dark energon playing with my nerves. Another voice pipes in as Cap moves closer to the table on my right.

"That doesn't mean you go out on your own. If we hadn't gotten there in time, you could have been killed. We don't know what that could do to us," he gestures around the room. "To all of us."

Guilt gnaws at me now. We truthfully don't know how connected to me everyone is, and despite studies by Strange, Bruce, and Stark, nothing has come up clear enough. Even Ratchet's theories were coming up moot. However, we did find out that everyone knew me somehow, either as a friend or their creator, as with Stardust and the Minecraft gang. Everything else was unclear and speculative at this point. But still...

"Look, guys, I think we're being a little hard on her."

Jack's calm voice instantly makes me relax and I feel the comfort of his cold hand on my shoulder. My body slightly leans into it, and I feel Jack give me a reassuring squeeze. "We all know how much Avia cares for us, and we all also know how active she is. Despite her current state, we can't keep putting her on the sidelines." I raise my eyes to him, slightly shocked that he was well and truly taking my side on this. However, when he gazes down, I see the worry and frustration show a bit. "But, you also can't run off on your own like that again. What if we had been a moment later? If we hadn't seen your note, or if Strange hadn't picked up on the pendant acting up, who knows what could have happened!" As he finishes, I look away, not knowing what to say. I didn't mean for them to worry this much. I knew the plan would work, but I hadn't thought about the others at all really. I knew what needed to be done, and did it... but we are a team...

"I'm sorry, Jack. I really am. I just... I wanted to help." I finally say, earning a soft and gentle smile from the one I love. He nods his head, then looks back to those around the table on the helicarrier. I turn my gaze as well and see Tony rub the back of his neck with a look of frustration and understanding. Captain America looks almost the same, but it is soon taken over with slight regret. "We know, Avia, and we are sorry for cutting you out of the loop so much. That was wrong of us."

"And right you are on that one, Steve Rogers."

The voice makes my face break out in a smile. I feel my spirits lift as I turn towards the now closing elevator. Decked out in his normal light brown robes, with a darker brown cloak over his shoulders, Obi-wan Kenobi walks over to my left. When he looks at me, a soft, small smile breaks his stern features. I can't help but stand from my chair and move towards him to wrap him in a large hug. "Oh my, it has been a while, hasn't it?" I only nod before finally releasing the Jedi Knight. "The last I heard, you and Anakin were in a space battle, and your ship was hit! Leave me hanging like that again, and the Sith will be the least of your worries." Obi-wan shakes his head with a small smile still on his face. "Understood. Now, what is going on here? Anakin is on his way with Ahsoka, but they will be late." I shake my head with a soft chuckle. As usual.

We quickly fill him in on everything, including my insane plan (that worked, mind you), and he gives me a knowing look. I could feel his sympathy pooling towards me, and I give him a pained smile. Spasms were starting up in my muscles again, and the pendant was barely keeping the pain away. Obi-wan notices this, but I give him a pleading look to not say anything yet. It wasn't too much for me, and I couldn't bear the thought of being out of commission again. I could push through the pain for now. He seems to sense this and gives me the slightest of nods.

"Well, it seems like our next plan of action would be to find out Pitch's plans with the villains." I nod in agreement and moves back towards Jack. "Has he reached out to the Sith yet?" The Jedi shakes his head. "Not that we know of, so far. In fact, the Sith have been abnormally silent lately... Not in a comforting way." I release a sigh and Tony speaks my thoughts. "Sounds familiar." I try to take a deep breath, but a cough racks my body instead. I hold my arm over my mouth a bit longer, feeling the warmth on my lips. Turning away, I try to wipe the blood off, but it coats the sleeve of the jacket. I gaze at it with wide eyes and slight fear. 'I'm running out of time...'

Jack's cold hand is on my shoulder, and I turn to look at him. I don't mask my fear, and I feel his hand tighten on my shoulder. His eyes burn, not at me, but for me instead. His anger towards Pitch was evident, and I shake my head. He only gives me a grunt. He turns to Obi-wan and doesn't speak. However, I suddenly have a dark brown robe around me, covering me and my blood-soaked jacket sleeve completely. I turn to give a thankful nod to the Jedi, who returns it with a small smile. I turn back around, Jack had made sure my face was clean beforehand, and address those before me. "Alright, we have part of an idea at least. Pitch did say to Herobrine that he wanted to 'rule the world', and that's why he was recruiting everyone." I feel a tingling sensation, then Herobrine fizzles into existence next to Tony. "You called?" Tony slightly jumps in surprise, making a soft chuckle escape from me. "Gosh, you nearly got yourself pulverized," Stark says, and Herobrine just shrugs before moving a few steps away. "My bad. Just heard my name and figured I'd pop in." He turns his gaze to me, and I eye him carefully. He tilts his head. "What?"

"Why are you helping us? Helping me?" Steve nods his head and points from em to Herobrine. "She's right. You are the villain in the story she created, so why have you decided to help us instead?" The bright-eyed character lowers his gaze in thought, then shrugs again. "Honestly? I don't like Pitch. His motives are not true and he seems.... odd." That catches my attention, and I tilt my head. Before I can ask, Jack pipes in. "Odd? What do you mean by odd? As in not right in his head? Because we already knew that." I give him a slight nudge, and he gives a playful ow. Shaking his head, Herobrine remains serious. "No. I could tell that the moment he first tried to recruit me. I sent him a few mobs to see what he would do, which, by the way, sorry about that." I shake my head. "Don't worry! I was going to ask if that was you anyways." He nods his head and continues. "However, he did not use them to their full extent. He is taking in new people, creatures, and species, but not using them to their full capacity. It's as if he's actually hiding the true intention behind all of this." I nod my head, having the same thought only moments before. Indeed, he wasn't using most of his assets properly, but I had believed that was simply because he didn't know how to use them.

Now a much graver idea was at play, and we honestly had no clue what his plans were.

"So, by the way, how did you manage to get into Minecraft without us knowing?" Tony suddenly speaks up, shaking me from my thoughts. I slightly shake my head, regaining my focus. "What?" I ask my mind not completely wrapping around the idea of what was just said. Cap crosses his arms. "Stark's right. How did you get in Minecraft, but not have a trace of that... portal dust stuff?" I make an 'oh' face and nod my head in understanding. "Well... about that..." Just as I'm about to speak, a deep voice booms from behind as the lift opens.

"That would be me."

I smile and turn to spot Heimdall walking in wearing his usual golden armor. As he nears, he gives me a slight nod before turning to Tony and Cap, then his eyes landing on Herobrine. Tony shakes his head in confusion. "I'm sorry, and you are?" Heimdall nods his head once, a sign of respect, before saying his name. "My name is Heimdall. I guard and protect the Bifrost bridge on Asgard." Cap instantly perks up at this, recognizing the name. "Asgard. As in Thor's homeworld?" Heimdall only gives a slight nod, and Tony makes a face. "Ah, of course. Make sense... Why are you here?" I pipe in at this, slightly moving towards the Asgardian. "As I was trying to explain before, Heimdall is the reason I was able to get into Minecraft and get back without anyone noticing, and without tracking in any 'portal dust stuff'."

Cap looks confused, and Tony only tilts his head. I withhold my laugh and allow Heimdall to explain the Bifrost to them. Feeling eyes on me, I turn to see Herobrine watching me carefully. When our eyes meet, he gestures to his lip, then points towards me, and I realize there was a warmth starting to form on my lower lip. I quickly lift my hand and wipe it away, but I feel it also graze the tips of my fingers. His bright eyes widen, and suddenly he is next to me. "Avia, you need to sit down." Jack, startled at the sudden teleportation of Herobrine, whips around and eyes the man carefully. However, when he notices the red on my fingers, his focus shifts. "He's right. You're starting to lose too much blood. I will keep you updated, but you need to rest now." I try to protest, but I feel the pain start to rise. Instead, I simply nod my head and turn away. Heimdall keeps Tony and Cap busy, trying to explain the science behind the machine that he used, while also trying to keep it simple for Captain America. I could tell Steve was doing his best to listen, but they all were so engaged, Jack and Herobrine were able to help me slip out without them noticing.

Well, without most of them noticing.

I spot Heimdall's eyes shift towards me slightly, and I know that he is stalling to let us get out without the other two noticing. We make it to the lift, and once the door shuts, I feel my body suddenly grow weak. I hadn't realized how much of a facade I was putting up to mask the pain I was feeling. I heavily lean on Jack, who barely can hold me up. "Woah, easy Avia! We're almost there." I slightly nod but don't move. I was so tired now, and I needed to rest. As much as I hated the thought of laying down again, I know I need to. I slightly close my eyes, and that's all it took for my body to completely shut down and force me into the darkness of unconsciousness.
