Chapter 6
His body was so sore...
This was a vicious cycle. He owed O'Riley his life, but at the same time, it felt like his life was being toyed with. Like he was just a little mouse in a house full of cats. How many more times will this happen before it's the last one?
These people were sadist...every single one of them.
It's not like he wanted to run away. He knew that was impossible..but this overwhelming feeling of hopelessness was eating him alive. Being apart of this gang was destroying not only his body, but his mind as well. Some days he wished someone would just go ahead and kill him...but he's so afraid of death, the fear makes him regret that wish in those moments.
He really was messed up.
That was just how it was for him though. After all, he deserved this pain. He deserved this kind of life. After what he did, the world shouldn't have any mercy for him. He was a murderer, and this was just karma haunting him.
His thoughts are interrupted, as his mind flashes to the doctor he met. Once O'Riley had finished, Crip picked the card up and hobbled home. He pulls the card out of his back pocket, where he'd stored it yet again for some reason...maybe because deep down, he couldn't bring himself to throw it away. He could try to go get help...but then what? It's not like he could leave the gang anyways. What good would it do to talk about his life?
He approaches the hideout, and Switch is outside, along with Bear and Shank. Though once his eyes find Crip, he hurries towards him. He meets him just outside the gates, his voice as raspy as ever, with that heavy Spanish accent.
Switch: "I was worried about you pequeño...How's the arm?"
Crips eyes sink down to the ground. He really let Switch down...he just wasn't fast enough.
Crip: "It's fine. I'm sorry I fucked up the job Switch..."
He wanted to keep his voice low. He was nice to Switch, but if Charlie heard him out here apologizing and shit he'd never hear the end of it.
Switch: "Oh no..that was my fault. I put too much on you, and it was your first run. I'm sorry."
Crip smiles slightly, but then Switch grabs his hands and leans in a bit closer, and suddenly the atmosphere changes from friendly to....tense.
Switch: "Listen. I talked it out with O'Riley. I'd still like it if you'd help me. I think maybe we could find a way to make this work, even if it's just you helping me with the supplies. Boss agreed, so, what do ya say?"
He really agreed? After all of this?! That wasn't like O'Riley. He's normally such a hard ass...
Crip: "Y-yes..I'd like to try again. Just..no ladders."
Switch grins sweetly, obviously satisfied with that response.
Switch: "That's what i wanted to hear."
Before Crip realizes what's going on, Switch pulls him in, catching his lips and kissing him firmly. He wants to pull away, but that might not be a good idea. Switch was a nice guy, but even he had a dark side...Once Switch has enough kissing, he lets go. Thankfully, he wasn't bold enough to want to have sex here at the hideout.
Crip hurries away, catching his breath as he enters the hideout. Ugh..he hates this. He couldn't even have just friends, because every single person here thinks they own his body! The worst part is, if he puts up a fight, he'll just be beat up!
Why were things like this?
He spends the majority of the day lounging around the hideout, until O'Riley gives everyone their pay. Naturally, it is just enough for Crip to pay his rent and have enough to eat on for a little while. He sulks, walking home, but stops when he hears a familiar voice coming from behind him.
"I heard you got a little attention from Switch."
If he physically could, he'd roll his eyeballs into outer space. He doesn't need to turn. He knows exactly who it is.
Charlie.
