Chapter 1
|Jacks' POV|
I walked backstage with the mini doughnuts in hand, ready to dig in. That's when I felt it. The low throbbing in my head rapidly excelled until I just had to curl in to a ball and wait for the pain to stop. Why was this happening now? Now of all times! I thought
The pain was finally subsiding. I almost wished it didn't because that was when the fear kicked in.
"Nice job out there" Mark said.
I jumped about a mile into the air and groaned at the sudden movement. The ground started swaying under my feet.
"No. No. No. I am NOT going to faint. I muttered.
"Here, lean on me," Mark ordered.
"Shit. Did I say that aloud?" I asked as I put my weight on my friend.
"Yeah, you did. I told you doing a solo panel would make you feel sick," Mark stated as concern filled his eyes.
Yeah, sure. THAT was the reason, I thought.
Anyway, I got a call from the airport. Turns out that your plane crashed. Nobody got hurt but it was damaged badly. It will take a while to repair it," Mark said.
"Damn it! Where could I stay? My hotel room expires today and if I asked for longer they would be pissed!" I exclaimed.
"Problem solved. Just stay at my place." Mark suggested.
"R-really? Y-ye don't have to do that!" I stammered.
"Your a friend, why wouldn't I do that?" Mark asked, offended.
"Now then, grab your bags and meet me in the parking lot," Mark stated.
I saluted "Yes sir!" I mocked.
Mark chuckled and walked of to the parking lot.
Once Mark was out of sight, I sighed and leaned against the wall. How am I going to get through this without hurting anybody?
