Secrets

As Stingray curled her lip back to reveal her sharp teeth, Ray charged at her.

The female dug her talons into Skeleton's neck before she was knocked off him by Ray. Skeleton tried to stagger upwards, his sides heaving heavily.

Stingray slashed her talons across Ray's snout, screaming something dreadful.

Ray suddenly snaked her head forward, clamping onto the other dragons neck. Ray applied pressure, then it was over.

Not to sound whiny or anything, but Skeleton had hoped for a more dramatic ending.

Ray threw Stingray's limp body away from herself, and it landed on Jasper's. At least they were together in death, if not life.

Ray stood there, covered in blood. Skeleton hesitated; he wasn't completely sure that she wouldn't snap and murder him on the spot. He need not worry. Ray sat down and started licking the blood off with a satisfied groan.

Skeleton tried to sit down, but it was more like falling. He grimaced as blood dropped from his wounds onto the floor. Ray looked up, swiping her tongue around her snout. "Need me to heal you?"

The question caught Skeleton off-guard. Normally Ray would have just left him to either lick his wounds and suck it up, or die.

"Yeah, sure. Thanks." The light NightWing rumbled, dragging his battered body over to her. She waved her talons, and Skeleton straightened up, healed.

"I trained that abomination well." Ray comments sourly, glancing at her foster daughters body. For a moment, Skeleton caught a flash of regret in her eyes, but then it was gone. That interested him; Ray wasn't one to ever feel bad for the horrible things she's done. Skeleton licked her snout as thanks, snapping his head back when she swung a claw at him.

"Hey!" He protested.

"No one touches me." Ray answered. Her voice was obviously an attempt to be cold, but she was failing. Mystic giggled in the corner, earning herself a smack over the head. She frowned, baring her tiny teeth at Ray. Ray just sneered and roll s her eyes.

Skeleton yawned, laying down. He still had his yellowed skull on. He closed his eyes, falling asleep. The days events had exhausted the moonshine out of him.

Ray watched him, which Mystic noticed. Mystic giggled again, and Ray narrowed her eyes at the small dragonet. The latter crept closer to Ray, sitting down and humming innocently. Ray was not fooled.

"What do you want, you disgusting creature?" She snarled, but the smallest part of her brain was worried Mystic had seen that she was watching Skeleton. Which she had.

"Can't help but notice that you two seem awfully starry eyed over each other..." The small look-alike of Ray started slyly. Ray made a squeaking sound. Mystic giggled. "Do something about it! He's not going to confess his feelings if you don't!"

"He probably doesn't like me..." Ray said, worried. All of her menace was gone in this moment.

"He does, I'm sure of it." The small one promised sincerely. Ray lowered her ears.

"I don't what what to do.."

Mystic leaned in close and whispered in Ray's ear, and Ray nodded slowly. She stood up, blushing.

Skeleton blinked awake. He felt something around his tail, and looked backwards. He flicked his ears in surprised when he saw a purple shark tail twined around his. He followed the tail upwards onto the facing blush if none other than...

Ray?!
