Skeleton gave Ray and incredulous look. "Oh, but do you think you can order me around?"

Ray curled her lip back. Skeleton made an odd rumbling sound, before they realized he was laughing!

Mercy shivered at his laugh. It sounded like... claws scraping against rock. She didn't like it at all.

Skeleton lunged forward, grabbing Mercy by the scruff of her neck. He threw her into the wall, and she got up, wailing. Skeleton bent down by her, and just simply stared into her eyes. Mercy's eyes widened. She had never met a gaze as... cold, ruthless, terrifying as his. She cowered against the wall, and Ray raised her eyebrows. She'd never seen anyone who could frighten by just simply looking at them.

Skeleton stood up, and Avenge skirted toward Mercy. He tried to move slowly, as if he thought if he moved slowly, Skeleton wouldn't kill him. Skeleton licked his leg, before slamming his tail into Mercy and Avenge. They both shrieked, and he grinned. He texted over to Ray, yawning. His eyes tracked Mercy and Avenge as they bolted out of the cave. He grinned at Ray, who grinned back.

"Niceee." Ray praised, and Skeleton glowed.

"Thanks."

Skeleton was curled up in a ball as the crickets chirped outside. He growled softly, shivering. The shiver was slight, but Avenge and Mercy noticed. The glanced at each other, before silently creeping toward Skeleton. Mercy curled up in the crook of his wing, and Avenge slithered under his wing. Surprisingly, Skeleton did not stir. In fact, there was no sign that they had moved, except his shivering coming to a halt. Mercy and Avenge fell asleep quickly. Skeleton lifted his head up, blinking in confusion when he saw them. "Snuggling" wasn't something he was used to. He hadn't cuddled since before he murdered his moth- no, stop. Don't think about that.

Skeleton layed his head back down, and fell asleep.

Not long after, the cave was filled with an eery hissing sound. Skeleton bolted upright, throwing Mercy into the wall. Avenge just simply ran away. Skeleton made a high pitched sound, and Ray jerked awake as well, snarling. She relaxed when she heard the sound. It didn't bother her, as not a lot of things too. Ray gave Skeleton a look, wondering why he's so scared of it. Mercy and Avenge looked up at him curiously, too.

Skeleton narrowed his eyes, his ears perking up as the sound continued. He jumped back as over twenty dragons swarmed into the cave. Their scales were as dark as midnight, with acid green bug eyes, and acid green scales on their legs. Skeleton spread his wings out, protecting Mercy, Avenge, and Ray. Ray opened her mouth in surprise, but before she should say anything, a ball of green shot out of one of the dragons' mouths and hit the eyehole of
Skeleton's skull. His eyes widened, and there was a loud, hisssss coming from the wound. Skeleton began to scream. It was the worst sound they had ever heard, full of nothing but pain. Mercy whimpered and covered her ears, while Avenge put a wing over her, doing the same. Skeleton still had his wings spread out, and the dragons went for that next. He screamed even louder as the acid-like substance created large holes in his wings. He snapped his head up as multiple shots hit him all over. He shot fire at the dragons, which retreated out of the cave. Skeleton then collapsed, writhing, in a ball of pain. Mercy let out a cry, and rushed over to his side.

Ray shrieked, and shoves Mercy out of the way, ignoring a, "Hey!" from Avenge.

Skeleton was in too much pain to even cry out. He just spazzed on the floor, the acid eating away at his scales.

Mercy went to touch him, and Ray slapped her hand away, looking furious.

"You moon blasted NightWing! You don't touch stuff when it's STILL BURNING!" Ray boomed, shoving her away.

Skeleton stopped moving, and Ray looked around. "We cannot be charged for murder!" With those words, she charged out of the cave. After sharing a look, then a glance toward Skeleton, they flew after her. Skeleton's mind whirled. They had LEFT HIM! He screamed in his mind. With a last painful shudder, he lay still.
