Stranger Danger
So...yeah, this is part Chaos story, only like not those other cliche ones
Percy isn't in the army because why would he want to be blessed by like a million primordiales? Jeez
3rd Person—
At Olympus—
"This war is hopeless." Zeus growled. "We are surely going to lose without Perseus."
"I think otherwise." A voice echoed through the room. All the gods looked around, searching for the source of the sound. A vortex split open and out came Chaos himself.
"Lord Chaos." All the Olympians bowed at the primordial.
"Don't call me Lord Chaos." Chaos huffed. "I hate formalities." A few chuckles came from behind him.
"Chaos, to what do we owe this honor?" Zeus murmured. Chaos looked behind him.
"We have some...ah, visitors for your camp. We heard that Kronos and Tartarus are rising again, so we decided to send you some help." Five figures with cloaks over their faces stepped out from behind him.
"These are the commanders of my army." Chaos said, stepping aside.
"Renard." A voice, eerily familiar, introduced himself. A black cloak was draped around his shoulders with the inside of the hood gold.
"Amara." The figure next to him greeted, with a black and purple hood over her face.
"Suada." The light blue cloaked figure offered.
"Calder." A rough voice said, a red and black cloak spread across him.
"Amalthea, but you can call me Thea." The last one with a silver hood across her face smiled.
This is sort of a Chaos story, but it doesn't have Percy in it because that's so cliche so prepare to see some familiar faces :)
"Very well." Zeus agreed. "You may stay at Camp Half-Blood for the war against Kronos." The five shared a look with each other.
"If we may, Zeus, we have our own tents to stay at, so there would be no need for us to stay at a cabin." Renard told him.
"Ready for Camp Half-Blood?" Thea asked. A bright light shone in the room before they disappeared.
At Kronos' Place—
Percy fell out of the sarcophagus face-first, hacking and coughing violently.
"Holy shi—" He burst into a fit of coughing. "That was *cough* terrible."
"The transaction failed." Kronos growled. "I am still not strong enough. You may go back, Perseus."
"I feel like I've been stung by a pit scorpion." He groaned as a dracaena offered him a cup of water. He gulped it down hungrily and sighed. "We'll try this again later." He promised as he pulled his hood up.
"We will meet again, Perseus." Tartarus said as Percy vapor-traveled away.
At Camp Half-Blood—
"What's going on?" Percy asked as there was a crowd outside the Big House. "Why are there so many—"
"Campers! We are from Chaos' Army. We are here to assist you in the war." A person with a cloak over his eyes called out. "I'm Renard, 1st in command in the Army."
"We are the seconds-in-command." A voice called out. "I'm Amara, this is Sueda, Calder, and Thea." The others waved.
"Those people sound familiar..." Percy murmured to himself.
"What was that?" Renard frowned. "Who are you?"
"Agnostos, monster of the Unknown." Percy said, lowering his tone. "I said, you guys seem familiar. Any idea why?"
"I think you must be mistaken." Renard said coldly. "We are from planet Chaos and have never interacted with someone on earth for a millennium."
"But that's in Chaos years." Percy corrected. "You might've been gone shorter."
"You know what, you also seem familiar." Renard crossed his arms. "Why do you have a hood on?"
"No one knows what I look like." Percy said curtly. "I'd prefer to stay away from mirrors as well."
"So, you're a monster?" Amara asked. Percy nodded.
"From the Underworld?" She clarified.
"From Tartarus." Someone muttered. Percy shot a scathing look in the direction it was heard and said, "I guess."
"And why are you here?"
"To assist in the war as well." He said smoothly. "Not that it's really your business."
"Alright, introductions aside, we're going to train you all for war. Battle strategies and such, fighting techniques, and all that other stuff."
"How do we know you aren't on Kronos' side?" A snobby voice called out, and sure enough, it was Max. Percy scowled.
"Chaos is on the demigod's side, because if there is too much Chaos, there won't be order and it wouldn't be right." Calder said.
"Yes, but I don't think I'm on his side." Renard shot a pointed look at Percy.
"I'm on my own side." He said quietly. "Right now, I support the demigods because I have a score to settle with Kronos."
"I hate that guy." Renard grumbled.
"Are you guys demigods?" Percy raised an eyebrow. "'Cause you really seem like it."
"Are you a demigod?" Renard repeated. "Because you really seem like it."
"I asked first." Percy said smugly. "Spill it."
"Yeah, we are." Renard admitted. "But from a long time ago. People think we're dead. Sil—Sueda, what year is it?" Sueda said the year and Renard stiffened.
"Ok, maybe not that long ago, but people still think we're dead." He mumbled. A memory tickled the back of Percy's brain, and an image of Luke Castellan popped up in his brain.
"Luke..." Percy murmured.
"Excuse me?" He looked at Percy incredulously.
"Nothing." He brushed the thought away. "It's fine." Renard shot him a funny look but didn't push it. As he turned away, Percy thought he saw a glint of a scar on his cheek and nearly choked on air.
Of course. When Renard slipped up, he was about to say 'Sil' something. Could it be Silena? She definitely sounded like an Aphrodite girl, plus, her voice was a dead giveaway.
Could the others be the ones Percy knew before? Like Beckendorf? Zoe? Bianca? He plopped down in his usual spot of Thalia's Pine and look out to the distance.
"Hey." He heard a voice behind him. It was Amara.
"Hey." He replied, not looking at her.
"So..." She trailed off. "What's up?"
"Nothing much." Just preparing to be the host of a certain lord of Time. Yeah, nothing much.
"I heard the stories about Percy." She cringed as Agnostos stiffened. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—"
"It's fine. I get that he's dead, ok? No need to feel sorry." He huffed. Amara looked at him with concern lining her features. Well, the features he could see.
"Percy was a great friend." She whispered.
"You knew him?" He asked, scooting closer to her. She blushed.
"Only for a short while. I became a hunter of Artemis, but I watched him from afar, and when it was my time to die, he was a hero all the way." She said quietly, looking distant.
"Did you know Bianca di Angelo?" He asked hesitantly. She looked surprised.
"Yes." Was all that she said. They sat in comfortable silence before the conch horn blew for dinner.
"See you." Agnostos waved before smirking from under his hood and walking into the woods.
I know who you are, Commanders of Chaos. And yet, you won't stop me.
Can anyone guess who Amara, Renard, Sueda, Calder, and Amalthea are?
