NAURRR HE JUST STOPPED BREATHING 💀

The receptionist smirked as a shadow loomed over him. Nico paled even more. He knew that voice anywhere.

A voice he thought he would never hear again.

"P-Percy?" Thalia's eyes widened. "No. I-It can't be you! You fell into the Sea of Chaos!" Percy scoffed.

"It takes a lot more than a sea of total destruction to delete me from the plane of existence." He didn't uncover his hood, but there was no question that he was him. The receptionist was silent, slinking back into the shadows.

Y-You can't be working for Monster Olympus! No! Tell me you're a double agent. Tell me you're not doing this!" She begged. The figure cocked his head, chuckling.

"And tell me, dear Thals, why on earth would I work for them?" He asked curiously.

"You're...not?" She stepped back, as did the others. He laughed.

"Of course I do!" He grinned sadistically. "Why wouldn't I?" She paused.

"You're a monster." She gritted his teeth. He snorted.

"Of course I am." He glanced at poor Nico, who looked utterly confused and heartbroken, and his expression softened. "It's for the greater good, Neeks." He said, reaching out towards him, but Hylla and Luke stepped in front of him, shielding him from any attacks Percy could do.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on him, you traitor!" Hylla snarled. His lips pressed together in a look of mock hurt.

"Oh, me, a traitor!" He repeated it in her tone teasingly. "I should've known that you would say that, although it's not really a surprise." He spread out his arms as if presenting something. "You all should be thanking me, imprisoning the gods. And also, be glad that I didn't capture Hades either." Nico pushed Hylla and Luke away, rage and tears filling his dark eyes.

"You idiot! You little bitch! How could you...?!" He unsheathed his sword, rage fueling it to make the room seem darker. "I trusted you! I thought you were dead! I mourned for you when you were thrown. And then you went on and backstabbed us so many times!" Percy's face dropped, dead serious.

"I did it for the greater good." He said simply. Tears streamed down Nico's face.

"Stop lying! You just did this to satisfy your revenge, to satisfy Nemesis and your thirst for blood! You're a monster. And..." He trailed off. Percy raised an eyebrow.

"And?" He prompted. Nico scratched the back of his neck.

"And..." His voice dropped to a whisper. "...I'll be the end of you." He lunged forward with his sword, blinded by rage, and pinned Percy to the wall, the sword right in his stomach. The body fell to the floor in a lifeless heap.

A dark essence filled Nico's sword. Nico dropped to the floor, his body shaking with sobs. Everyone else was either so shocked that they couldn't speak, or so confused about the sudden appearance. Most of them were the latter.

"Did you just kill that dude, Neeks?" Luke asked shakily.

"NOOOOOOOOO, HE JUST STOPPED BREATHING!" Thalia snapped. "Are you dumb? Of course he just killed Percy!" Her voice cracked at his name, barely audible, but there nonetheless.

"I—I killed him..." Nico whispered. Someone laughed like a madman.

"I've never been prouder. I've been meaning to get rid of him." Another voice said from the middle of the room. The receptionist. Nico wiped his face from tears and blood, his burst of adrenaline gone.

"What?" He asked, bewildered. "I don't even—who the hell are you?" The receptionist chuckled.

"Second-in-command." He smiled insanely. "That little bi-" He glanced nervously at Hazel. "That little idiot was never fit for ruling." He walked up towards a throne, exactly in the place where the old Olympian's thrones were. "You've done me a great favor, Nico di Angelo."

"Oh my gods..." Nico had played right into the receptionist's plan. He guessed that he was hungry for power since Percy had become leader and had wanted to overthrow him. But realizations had hit far too late.

"What are you going to do with us?" Hylla demanded. The receptionist grinned and snapped his fingers.

"My lord." A raspy female voice rumbled. The terrifying Kampe stomped into the room, striking terror in the other demigod's hearts.

For Nico, he just thought she was disgusting and ugly.

But he blanched at the monster jail woman, not out of fear but realizing the receptionist's motive.

He was going to imprison them.

"Kampe." He pointed to the elevator knowingly. "Go to the prisons and retrieve the captives." She nodded her snake head and slithered out to a hidden tunnel in the wall, concealed by bushes and trees.

"You're going to kill us with your prisoners." Luke guessed, glaring at the person on the throne. The receptionist barked out a laugh.

"Why would I do that?" He smirked. "Just wait right here, and you'll be perfectly fine from the attack outside." The attack. Nico had completely forgotten about that, his attention consumed by the object of killing the leader. Now it turned and backfired on them. The receptionist snapped his fingers, and six dracaenas slithered out, carrying elaborate chairs.

"What in the unholy hell is that?!" Nico demanded, stepping away from the chairs behind them.

"I'm not a rude host." The receptionist replied. "Go on, sit!" The six except for Nico quickly sat down. "Fidi, kindly go and fetch drinks and snacks for our guests, please." One of the dracaenas bowed and rushed out of the room.

"You're trying to poison us." Hazel hissed. The receptionist frowned.

"Why would I do that?" He asked. "Poison, I can just control to kill you. If I had wanted to hurt you, I would've done it a long time ago."

"That sounds valid—" Luke did a double take. "WAIT, YOU CAN CONTROL POISON?!" The receptionist snorted.

"Anything wrong with that?" He asked.

"Oh, maybe it's just the fact that you can control deadly venom and kill someone on the spot is a little concerning." Nico said dryly, still not sitting down. The receptionist shrugged.

"It's for self-defense. And also, to make others bend to my will, but that rarely happens." He clasped his hands together as Fidi slithered into the room, holding a tray full of...blue coke and blue cookies?

"Is that...?" Thalia's mouth dropped open. "Sally's blue cookies??" The receptionist snatched one from the plate and bit into it hungrily.

"They're the best. Change my mind." He shrugged. Nico was still hesitant.

"Do I know you?" He asked suspiciously. The voice sounded eerily familiar, but Nico couldn't put a finger on where he heard it.

"Oh, I don't know. How am I supposed to know, anyway?"

Kampe entered the room, dragging the Olympians behind her in golden chains. The receptionist brightened.

"How nice! Our prisoners are here!" He sneered. "Enjoying the nice view of Tartarus?" Zeus fumed, trying to break free of his bindings.

"Once I escape, I will make sure you never see the daylight again!" He roared. The receptionist looked at him amusedly.

"Pathetic." He scoffed. "That's like being grounded, compared to the promises of being deleted from the universe I had to face."

"Ha! And what other threats had you have to face?" Athena spat.

"Being thrown into Tartarus, sucked into Tartarus' prison, imprisoned in the prisons of Kampe, sitting next to Hera and Athena at the same time—"

"Hey!"

"—being thrown into the Sea of Chaos, eternal torture from the titans, should I go on?" The receptionist looked disappointed as the rest of the group gaped. "Hmph. I expected more from all of you. Didn't anyone threaten you with at least one of them?" Nico shook his head.

"No one except Percy angered the deities so much they would go that far." He exchanged glances with Hazel. The receptionist clicked his tongue.

"Spot on, Neeks." He winked. "I told you I'd be back. I told you that I would bring the monsters of hell with me. And I promised Tartarus, before he died, that I would rule over Olympus." He snapped his fingers, and whatever was keeping them from seeing his face disappeared. "My plan was so complex that none of you could keep up. Not even Athena."

Fear pierced Nico's heart as he saw the receptionist's true form.

SIKE HEHEH

"That—that was an...?"

"An illusion." The one and only Percy Jackson laughed. He was back.

"You lied to us again!" Hazel cried.

"And you all fell for it again." Percy retorted. "So much for being a Seaweed Brain. Isn't that right, father?" He pointed the last part at Poseidon, venom dripping from his words. Poseidon looked thoroughly mortified.

"Perseus—"

"Shut your trap." He hissed, getting of his throne and walking towards them, sword in hand. "I'll teach you all a lesson. After I do this, my job will be done." He went behind the gods, his sword poised at Hermes' back.

"Percy—?" Hermes whimpered. "No—!"

"Dad!" Luke cried, but chains lashed out at his arms and legs, strapping him to the chair, as did the others. Hermes stared at his son, his eyes pleading. "Percy, no!" Sicarius was raised in the air.

"Percy yes." He grinned as the blade came down.
