It was night and my parents were on there honeymoon for two months. They kept saying I should go with them so I'm not alone at the house but I'm 19 and I could always just invite my friends over. After arguing with them they finally said there goodbye and left. It has been three weeks now since they left but I'm fine, this will help when I move out and I'll by myself one day.

*knock...knock*

Who would be knocking at the door at this time of night. I thought to myself. I walked over to the door and looked through the peep hole, but there was no one. I opened the door and just looked out on my left to see no one there.

"BOO!" Someone then jumped out In front of me.

"Linda you try and scare me every time." I said to her.

"Well did I get you this time." She asked grinning.

"No oh and Anna don't try and be like her." I said while looking behind my door.

I invited my friends in and We talked and watched "The vampire Diaries."

"Hey do you think vampires are real?" Anna asked.

"No there just fiction." I said rolling my eyes.

"Well I think there real." Linda said smiling.

"And why is that?" I asked Linda.

"Well I mean why wouldn't they be real and also you know the Shadow residence." Linda started to ask.

"Yeah That mansion that's on the other side of the woods." Anna asked.

"Yeah well you know they have a lot of secrets and I think that there actually secretly vampires!" Linda says grinning.

"Are you still trying to make me scared because it isn't working." I said to Linda.

"Ava I swear your not scared of anything." Linda said crossing her arms and pushing out her cheeks.

"Well then truth or dare Ava." Anna asked.

"Dare." I said curious to the sudden question.

"I dare you to go to the Shadow Mansion." She said grinning.

"Okay." I said getting up.

"Wait what. She can't do that." Linda said quickly.

"Well I'm not scared so why wouldn't I go." I said walking out the door.

It was already dark enough and I'm tired but now I have to go to that mansion. I walked down the street all the way till I got to the entrance of the woods. It was a trail so I walked on the trail, I heard others say that once you get far into the woods there should be two trees that look like a gate and if you go that way it will lead you to the mansion.
I was pretty deep into the woods now but I suddenly trip and cut my hand.

"Danm." I said grabbing my hand.

I quickly tore off some of my shirt and wrap it around my hand. I got up and when I looked up I saw the two trees that look like a gate. I got off the trail and went through the two trees, while getting deeper into the woods it got darker but I suddenly saw light and went towards it. I was now out of the woods on the other side and there it was The Shadow Residence. Some people call it cursed, haunted, but people do live here, they usually throw these party's and people from different towns come and go towards the mansion. The mansion was big and it had dark colors but it was old fashioned. I started walking again and went towards the house, I was at the foot of the steps up to the door. When I stepped on the first step I felt cold and a weird feeling in my stomach telling me to go back home but I walked up the stairs.

*knock...knock*

I waited a few seconds but nothing, I was about to leave but the door suddenly opened. I walked into the house slowly and it looked empty and it was dark but the candles suddenly had lit up at once. I walked in further and went up the stairs, I got up to the second floor and I kept hearing these sounds of footsteps and they...were getting....closer.
I'm not the scared type, I don't really care for anything and anyone would be scared to walk in this house but me for me this is child's play.
I kept walking and went down a hall. It was still pitch black unlike how the candles just lit up on there own down stairs. I was walking past a big window and it suddenly blasted open with chilling air coming in. I quickly went to close it but when I turned around there was a figure standing there. I couldn't see if it was a girl or boy, like it mattered. I was just freaked out by the figure just standing there.

"W-who are you?" I asked with a shaky voice.

The figure started to move towards me and before I even knew what happened it suddenly went blank and dark.

I felt someone carrying me, I started to open my eyes but I couldn't move. I noticed a man carrying me down a hall, I couldn't see his face and I tryed to yell or scream but nothing came out. And just like that I passed out.

I felt scared for once in my entire life. I was dared to go into a house and now look some man that I couldn't even see his face and I didn't know who he was has taken me. I felt warmth all of a sudden like when I was little and my parents tucked me into bed. Then I shot my eyes open and I was in some room with only one candle on. I noticed I was in a bed , I quickly shot up from the bed and looked around. It was a medium sized room with a bed in the middle. I started to get out of bed but I felt light headed and fell to the ground. My vision started to go black, my head was pounding, I could hear my heart pounding against my chest. I felt weak. Suddenly the door opened to the room and showed a man.

"Oh my why did you get out of bed you have a fever!" The man said and quickly went over to me and helped me into bed.

"W-where am I?" I asked.

"Your at my house." The man said.

I finally got to see the man's face and he was handsome, he had blonde hair with beautiful amber eyes.

"I was surprised to see a human come into my house but I'm not complaining, your beautiful." The man said smiling at me.

"W-who are you?" I asked still light headed.

"Oh um well we can know each other more when your well rested." He said getting up.

"Before you go do you have a wet cloth I could have?" I asked sitting up.

"Oh yeah." He said while leaving the room.

I waited awhile in till the man got back. I didn't feel scared as I was since the man was helping me.
So after the man came back with a wet cloth.

"Thank you." I said grabbing the cloth.

"Your welcome but Why did you need it." He asked.

"I cut my hand when in the woods and I want to wash the blood off it." I said removing the ripped cloth of my shirt on my hand.

The blood was every where on my hand . I pressed the wet cloth on my hand for a little to stopped the bleeding and then I wiped the blood off. I noticed the man stopped talking. I looked up and his eyes were wide open, he quickly turned around.

"Um well you get some rest. I'll be leaving now." He said quickly and then left.

Why was he shocked? No matter I feel light headed, i need to sleep. And as I said that I fell asleep and had forgot that my friends were probly wondering where I was.

I started to open my eyes and I noticed it was morning. I sat up and I felt fine, i wasn't light headed either. I got up from bed and walked towards the door, I walked out and just like yesterday I was in the house still. I tryed to find my way down stairs and soon after some walking I found the stair case. I felt something wet and dripping down my hand though. I lifted my hand and saw all of the blood. Didn't I put the cloth around it, oh wait no I didn't I fell asleep. I realised there was blood on the railing off the stair case. I guess when I was coming down the stairs it made the blood come back. I went to find the kitchen.

What I really wanted to do is make this chapters word goal to 2000 but I got a little lazy. As you can see it got really sloppy at the end.
