A Dream.

Everyone has a Dream. A Dream, that no matter how hard it takes to achieve, you can and will give your hundred percent to it.

No emotion can overtake that emotion of satisfaction one gets when that person sees his or her or their's dreams coming true.

For me, this exact moment is the moment of my dreams coming true.

Pindrop silence surrounded me as the host was introducing the audience to the next performance of the day.

I stood behind the red dark curtain which I have grown up seeing, with feets sticking together pointing in front, while my both wrist's bones were touching the ending bones of the ribs on my waist.

A proper and systematic way of standing in Bharatnatyam. More like a discipline which every Bharatnatyam Dancer has to follow.

Gulping down the nervousness, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as the Event Manager mouthed to get ready as in less than one minute, the curtains which were keeping me away from achieving my dreams, will roll upwards giving me an opportunity to shine.

Stage Fear...? I never went through such a phase where I was afraid of climbing the stairs to the stage. It felt as if I was born to be on the stage.

Stage Fear is when the anxiety in you, gets the best or to be honest, the worst of you. It's a phobia which I never had, thankfully.

Nervousness...? Obviously yes. But I have a mantra for curing it.

"With no regrets, let's do it."

Holding Katakāmukha Hastah with both of my hands in an adjacent way in front of my chest and the both of arms up on shoulder level, while I stomped my first, right feet and then left.

Opening the arms to both of the sides with Sikhara Hastah and both the thumbs facing upwards, not before turning my Katakāmukha Hastah into Sikhara Hastah with my thumbs touching the tip of my shoulders.

My feets were now in a straight line as the bone of heels touched each other while my knees automatically followed after the feets movement as they bended sideways and my hips pushed my knees more towards the ground. It's called Armandi in the Language of Bharatnatyam.

Bringing down the Sikhara Hastah in a V shape and making both hands touch by the little finger and the Hypothenar Muscles, I sat down in the same position with my hips slightly touch my heels and my whole body weight lying on my feets.

Bending my upper body forward with Catura Hastah, I touched the tips of my both hand's three fingers- Index Finger, Middle Finger and Ring Finger, i.e., in total six finger down on the ground and then, brought it immediately up for touching the upper eyelids of my eyes.

With my eyes closed, I stood up straight with my hands now joining into Namaskaar.

It's a ritual movement in the Language of Bharatnatyam which has to be performed everytime before dancing.

Opening my eyes with my hands still forming Namaskaar, I saw how the curtains rolled up slowly slowly unrevealing me to the audience from my feets.

I looked forward with a wide smile on my face and with just one thought in my mind.

"This is it!! The curtains covering my dreams has finally opened."
