Teyvat has finally been reunited with its Creator. You have been dragged into their world kicking and screaming, as the acolytes who summoned you spare no moment in drowning you in their so-called 'love.' Celestia itself cannot be happier about your arrival.
But for a much different reason than your worshipers thought. Because you were just a pawn in Celestia's game; one they were all too willing to sacrifice.
You were not their God. Or at least, not yet.
–
Ever since you were taken to this world, you've felt a strange urge, as if something was pulling on your soul. Even as you were being pampered by everyone in Mondstat, the feeling was still there. Some invisible force was calling you, its voice sweeter than the honey you ate, more powerful than the abilities of the Vision bearers who kissed the earth you walked on, more melodic than Venti's songs, more captivating than Stanley's stories.
Your heart and mind were filled with the desire to listen to it, follow it to the ends of the world, just to finally get some answers. You tried telling the people of Mondstat this, but all you got in return were confused and worried looks as they begged you to stay in their city. It was too dangerous, they said.
For a god, you were lacking much of the omniscient power one often imagines belonging to someone like that. Whatever abilities you did have were rather unimpressive and short lived - weak - in all honesty. It puzzled everyone. But that did not matter to Mondstat. You were here, safe, where they were free to bask in your glory.
And then... A message arrives from Inazuma. It only says that the Creator has been found and they are currently in Tenshukaku, being looked after by the Raiden Shogun. The same kind of letter comes from Liyue and Snezhnaya and every other region. But this was all wrong. You've never been to any of those places; you've only been kept here in Mondstat, where everyone keeps telling you that you were the Creator.
Naturally, word spreads and every country is furious at the others, each one of them claiming that they have the Creator and that all the others are impostors. All the while, that yanking sensation had only gotten worse.
–
It didn't take long for Celestia to intervene. They had sent their divine messages to each Archon, telling them to gather the Creator counterparts in one place. With the sun and the moon perfectly aligned, the time was right to bring forth the true Creator.
The first time you laid eyes upon the others was shocking to say the least. With how they all looked so similar to you, you would have thought that you were looking in a mirror. But... Who's to say for certain that you were the one looking into a mirror, and not the one you saw reflected in it?
That feeling was back, this time, stronger than ever before. Your heart was pounding, ready to burst out of your chest any second, lungs wheezing, while your mind was only filled with the thoughts "become one." It was all so painful that you couldn't help but scream. And judging from the others, they were experiencing the same thing.
As you grew weaker, the acolytes kept yelling at the Gods to stop. They were hurting you and the other 'counterparts,' as they called you. When they were accused of treason against the Creator, Celestia only said that this was the only way to summon the true Creator.
To them, you were just one fractured piece of their God that shattered long ago. Celestia changed the history Teyvat wrote to suit their needs. You were nothing but a stepping stone in their path to true divinity. So what if you had a name, a history, a personality, thoughts and feelings? Those were not yours, but the Creators. You were never your own person. They were doing you a favour by reuniting you with your counterparts.
Celestia used Teyvat and its inhabitants' infinite love for the Creator to make this happen. They made them summon you into this world, find them, bring them here for the ceremony. They did want the Creator to come back, didn't they? What do the lives of a handful of people matter when sacrificed to bring home a true God?
Unable to watch any more of this torture, each Archon stepped forth and rescued their 'counterpart' before the ritual would become completed. They had been the loyal dogs of Celestia for long enough. Their relationship had already turned sour when the fall of Khaenri'ah took place, but this was an all new low.
–
From that day on, you were kept away from Celestia's grasp. Fearing that something like this would happen again, each of the counterparts were separated and sent back to the nation that housed them before.
It didn't matter to the acolytes whether you really were just a piece of their Creator; you were their god. You must have split yourself into seven perfect replicas because you wanted to be with all of Teyvat, right? Yes, that was it. Oh, what a loving and generous god you were to selflessly do that to yourself for their sake.
While you were kept away from any harm, that tugging feeling never truly left and your mind was constantly asking questions.
When will you be sacrificed? When will you become one?
When will you be someone else?
