Welcome back. If you skipped the first part you may not understand a few things but it'll be fine since they'll probably be explained in the next few chapters. Sorry if this chapter seems a bit rushed.

As the light dimmed and her eyes adjusted to the darkness Ezra opened her eyes to see herself in a field of dandelions. Though it was the middle of the night her eyes had night vision enhancement so she could still see clearly. "Kai?! Vasmaris?!" She called out. No one answered.

She tried using her telethapy but it appeared that they were cut off, either unconscious or asleep. She stood up, never letting down her guard as she walked into a nearby forest thinking that she may be able to see them from the treetops or at least scout out her surroundings. Swiftly and quickly she jumped onto different branches and within seconds she was on the top branch of the tallest tree she could find. Looking around a few miles away she spotted faint city lights.

Maybe they're in the city. But I must figure out where I am before I can begin to search for them, She thought, zipping through the trees. Once reaching the small city she noticed a few things. One, it wasn't as modern as other cities were, it was decorated in a sort of Japanese style, was she perhaps transported to another country again? It had happened a few days ago, a Dai used its Trait to transport her to Germany. She had to run over the ocean to get back. Though it only took her a little under 20 seconds she got back to see that Kai and Vasmaris had knocked it unconscious.

Back to the situation at hand, she looked around. She didn't watch many international movies and the last time she had been to Japan was a few hundred years ago so she had only faint memories of the place. If not for anime she may have forgotten what it looked like all together. She noticed that it was quiet, a bit too quiet. There was also the presence of fear and desperation in the air.

As she fed off the negative emotions she sunk into the shadows and crept along the sides of each building, listening for any sound in the still air.

Is there a Dai here? This place is too clean and
lit up to be a ghost town, she thought as she stopped absorbing negativity. She paid close attention to the silence, listening to see if she could pick up any sounds. After a while, she heard something. It was faint but it was definitely the sound of liquid trickling. In the distance, she smelt blood. All her senses practically screamed that there was trouble around there. She followed the sound around what she believed to be a house and as she snuck around the corner she spotted dozens of dead bodies littered everywhere. She watched as one of them was dragged around another corner, the sound of crunching and flesh being eaten followed.

It was normal for her to see dead bodies, Dai killed people and she was sure that some would go to the extent of eating humans just to get more of a reaction from others.
But something was wrong. The presence was different. Though the aura of whatever it was did have a demonic presence it was different from a Dai. "ああ、もう一人の人間。へへ、ああ、あなたがここに来るなんて愚かなことでしょう。" (Ah, another human. Hehe he, ah, how foolish of you to come here.)she heard a feminine voice say.

They've sensed me, She thought though she couldn't understand a thing the person, or entity had said. She silently activated Metavorte as she would fight better if she understood what they were saying.

For a moment everything was silent. Though she kept her ears perked up for any sound. She heard as the creature, whatever it was began to quietly lurch over the roof of a nearby building, trying to get behind her and catch her off-guard. It was expected, many people make the mistake of attacking first, but then again it may be to their advantage if they do so correctly. Unfortunately for them, they launched their attack incorrectly. Ezra heard them as they almost silently jump out of their hiding spot, she easily avoided it, taking a few quick steps backward as she watched the creature fall. Instead of crashing onto the ground, it landed nimbly on its feet.

"Huh, you avoided my attack? Who are you? You don't seem to be a demon slayer," they asked before lunging at her quickly. She grabbed its head twisting it until it was facing backward completely, if this thing was human then they'd be dead. After a few seconds, she noticed that its eyes were still open and the humanoid creature did not seem to be harmed by this inconvenience.

"How dare you?!" They screeched." She released its head and it jumped back a few meters, twisting it back into place. The creature seemed to be sizing her up, plotting how to kill her. At this distance, she could clearly see what they looked like. It appeared to be female, but for some reason, she seemed familiar. She wore a red haori that seemed to have a white and black furry scarf attached to it. Her short white hair glistened in the moonlight though it failed to hide two moderately large horns on the front of her head. On her face were four blood-red marks, two on each cheek making them look like two equal signs. Her eyes were just as red as the marks on her cheeks and her pupils were a light purple color. But what stood out the most about her were the words engraved in her eyes. "Lower two?"

She realized why the creature had seemed familiar. It was the same demon she had watched on TV a few days ago. Though she hadn't lived long in the series. I've never absorbed the emotions of a demon. What would it feel like?" She wondered.

Suddenly the demon lunged at her, though it was avoided by the mono-haired. She stayed a decent way away from the demon, keeping an equal amount of distance between them no matter how fast the demon ran. Eventually leading the demon out of the district.

What was her name again? It started with an M right? She wondered, barely paying attention as she dodged each of the demon's attacks, effortlessly maintaining the gap that was separating them. The angrier the demon got the more negative emotion she gave off and the more negative emotion she gave off the more powerful Ezra got as she absorbed it.

She felt a human presence begin to approach both of them. Dodging the unknown person as they slashed at her she landed in the grass turning to see who had interrupted her fight.

She saw the head of Mukago as it lay at the feet of the unknown man begin to dissipate as she cursed at him. He had white hair, wore a sky blue haori decorated with white clouds, and a red mask with an unusually long nose.

Hmm, so I really am in Demon Slayer, she thought as she recognized the former hashira. Suddenly he attacked, she quickly dodged the move, jumping into the air and landing on a nearby tree.

"I don't want any trouble-" she was cut off as Urokodaki attacked her again, swiftly moving his blade towards her neck.

She dodged, disappearing into the thick forest behind her, waiting for the former hashira to come after her.

ABOUT HALF AN HOUR LATER

Urokodaki panted, tired from chasing what he thought to be a demon. Though she didn't have a number in her eyes she was very fast, every time he would be close to slicing her neck she would duck into the shadows and seemingly disappear.

Ezra watched from above in the treetops as the man that had been chasing her leaned against a tree, trying to steady his breath.

She quickly jumped down landing in front of the tired hashira, or former hashira. He lifted his sword preparing to swing, she allowed him to swing at her left arm and his sword passed right through her, she knew this would give away too much information so before he noticed she pretended to be cut by the sword, falling onto the floor as if she were in pain. She crawled backward against a tree, clutching the arm that was supposedly cut.

But the fact that she still wore a blank face worried him a bit as he couldn't tell if she was planning anything.

"Why aren't you attacking?" He questioned pointing his blade at her. Though he had a mask on she could sense a hint of worry coming from him. "You've dodged almost all my attacks but yet you haven't attacked me. Are you perhaps... a good demon?"

Good?, she was far from it. She had committed so many crimes against humanity that she had lost count, the world had been destroyed so many times and she had been a part of it all.

"I'm not a demon." She answered avoiding the previous question.

"Then what are you?" He asked lowering his sword slightly but high enough to defend himself if she tried anything.

"I can't tell you that. All I can say is that I mean you no harm. I'm looking for my .... acquaintances."

"Are you willing to become a demon slayer?" He asked.

"What?"

"With your speed, you would be an excellent one. Besides, you may find your acquaintances on a mission." He added.

She thought it over. There was no reason to refuse the offer, Kai was probably with Vasmaris, even if he wasn't with all the lessons Ezra had given her she should have been able to hold her own for a while.

"I agree."

"Do you need any help? I'm sorry for the fighting, I thought you were a demon." He apologized offering her a hand.

"I'm fine." She rejected the offer standing up while still covering the nonexistent injury. She followed the former hashira, wondering how the training would go.

FUNFACTS
*・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'(*゚▽゚*)'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*
1. Dai don't have blood, their bodies are made of shadows and darkness, so if any body parts are detached or cut off by another Dai they will be pulled back into place or replaced with more shadows.
2. Since Mukago's blood demon art is unknown and I'm not motivated enough to make up one just think that she was too slow to activate it before being killed.
3. Metavorte is a power that all Dai have, it's the power to understand and speak any language, it helps for whenever they want to torment a foreigner or are placed in a different country from their last location.
4. This chapter is (1876) words long.
5. You are free to leave any requests, but there won't be any ships in this story, but you can request fluff. I think I can write that 🤔, eh I'm not sure.
6. I don't understand how people make such awesome stories in a day, while it takes me so long to write this shitty one

Still, I hope you enjoyed it, hopefully, I'll see you all in the next chapter.
Bye, Have a great time.
