It was a couple days since Barbara grew 10 feet tall after being cured from her paralysis and she started her romantic relationship with Robin. Thankfully she was adjusting well, and all the Acme products that would accommodate her large body, including 6 XL clothing came in. Barbara knew that it would be logical to let her father know that she was able to walk again. She just hoped her father wouldn't have a heart attack seeing her 10 feet tall. She was sitting on her brand new couch that was perfectly big enough for her large frame and called her father on her brand new cell phone that was pretty much the size of a cereal bowl, which was perfect for her large hands. Robin sat next to her as Babs called her father. A minute later, James said on the phone, "Gordon here."

"Hey Daddy." Barbara said nervously. "Why Barbara, what a pleasant surprise!" James said on the phone, "haven't heard from you in a couple days. What have you been up to?" Robin held her hand as Barbara replied, "oh a lot of things. I actually moved into a new house recently. Would you like to come over to this new house? I actually have a big surprise for you." James replied on the phone, "uh-oh, how far along are you?" Babs got red in the face and said, "Daaaad... I'm not pregnant! But I think you might like this surprise. You willing to come in at lunch? I'll text you the address." James chuckled on the phone, "I'm kidding, you know that. Of course I'd like to have lunch with you at this new house of yours. I'll let you know when I'm on my way." Barbara smiled and said, "good to know. It's good to hear your voice. I love you Daddy."

"I love you too, princess. Gotta run, bye for now," said James as he then hung up the phone. "How would you like some sandwiches for lunch with my dad?" Barbara offered. "Sounds good to me," said Robin, "are you nervous at all?" Babs nodded and replied, "oh totally. First he might freak out once he sees how friggin tall I am. And I don't even know how he'll react to us being in a relationship. Though I think he might be more calm about that than of this..." Robin held Barbara's big hand and said, "Well I'm still going to be with you through all this because I'm your boyfriend and I love you, we stick together through thick and thin. I'm sure it'll be okay." Barbara smiled sweetly at her boyfriend and said, "thanks babe. I love you too." She kissed Robin on the cheek as a way of showing affection. Barbara was now wearing a black short sleeve shirt and a blue skirt that went down to her knees, this skirt was practically 4 feet long, and she was also wearing black flats with no socks, and they fit her size 20 feet very nicely.

A couple hours later, it was the afternoon and Barbara had texted Jim the address to her new house. Jim was able to find the new house with no problem, and he was quite surprised at how big it was. Once he got out, he knocked on the door. Robin answered the door and said, "good afternoon, Commissioner!" Jim looked at Robin and said, "afternoon to you as well Mr Warner. Do you know where Barbara is?" Barbara called out, "I'm in the kitchen Dad! I'm going to come out, just stay calm. This is the surprise. One of them at least..." James looked at the interior of the house, it was quite nice to look at. A minute later, Barbara came out of the kitchen in all her 10-ft glory for James to see. James had a mix of emotions as his daughter wandered over to him. He was shocked and surprised, but there was a hint of joy seeing his daughter being able to walk without having to use a wheelchair.

"My goodness Barbara... You... You... You're so big!" James stammered. Barbara blushed and said, "I know Daddy. I wanted to let you know about this surprise face-to-face. I know you have a lot of questions, and we're willing to answer. We can discuss these answers during lunch, how's that sound?" James nodded and replied, "sure... I take it Robin is eating with us?"

"If you're not bothered by it," said Robin. "I'm not," assured James as they went to the dining room table, the table was 5 feet tall length wise, perfect for a 10-ft person. There are also two chairs with long legs that would make it easy to eat on the 5 ft table for a non-giant person like James and Robin. "I made your favorite sandwich Daddy," said Barbara as she sat on her chair. It was a large chair perfect for her large frame. "That's very considerate of you Barbara," said James, "thank you." As the three ate their lunch, James then asked, "so... How did you grow so tall?" When Barbara swallowed a bit of her sandwich, she replied, "well, Robin actually found a cure for paralysis for me." James looked at Robin and asked, "did you now?"

"I did, this cure for paralysis was created by Pinky," confirmed Robin. "Pinky, like that lab mouse Pinky and his partner known as the Brain?" James asked for clarification. "That's correct sir," replied Robin. "And the cure did work," explained Barbara, "once I took it, I was able to feel my legs again and walk. But it turns out that Pinky put a growth hormone into the cure by mistake. Apparently it was the only thing stabilizing the cure." James looked at his daughter and asked, "so growing taller was a side effect from gaining your ability to walk again?" Barbara and Robin nodded in confirmation. "Truth of the matter is, I'm actually alright with being 10 feet tall," admitted Barbara, "My strength, speed, and stamina have increased, I feel better than I have in years. And the best part is, I can feel everything in my legs, it feels so great to walk again." James looked at his daughter and said "if this is what makes you happy, then that's all that matters. I'm happy to see you walk again Barbara. It warms my heart."

Barbara smiled and said, "thank you so much Daddy..." The father and daughter embraced in a hug, Barbara's long arms wrapping around Jim. After they finished hugging James asked, "is there anything else that I need to know?" Robin adjusted his hat and sheepishly said, "Well... After we moved into this new house... Babs and I said some things and... She and I are in a relationship." James looked at his daughter for confirmation and she replied, "yep. Robin's my boyfriend now. We've been together for 2 days now." Robin hesitated and asked, "you're not bothered that I'm in a relationship with your daughter are you, Commissioner?" James looked at Robin and asked, "do you love my daughter, and do you swear to be loyal to her?" Robin nodded quickly and said, "yes sir, cross my heart and hope to die, I'll even poke out my own eye!" James's hard face softened and he said, "please... Call me Jim. If you've demonstrated anything Robin, it's that you're willing to do just about anything to make my daughter happy. I should be thanking you for helping her walk again. I can tell that you two are in love with each other. And as long as you're both happy, that is all that matters. Welcome to the family Robin." The toon shook Jim's hand as Barbara let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding, happy to know that her father approved of her new boyfriend.

The rest of lunch went fine, with Barbara conversing with Robin and James, and it was quite nice to spend that time together. Hours later, when it became evening, Barbara said, "hey Robin, I have a surprise for you. Wait here." She then went into the bedroom that she and Robin would sleep in together. Five minutes later, Babs said, "okay Robin, you can come in!" Robin went to the bedroom he and Babs shared, and he found Barbara wearing a brand new Batsuit. It had a black bat cowl with white eye slits, her red hair sticking out behind her mask, a black cape, a purple bodysuit with a black bat symbol, black gloves, a yellow utility belt, and black boots.

"What do you think, Robin?" Barbara asked. "You look awesome Babs," said Robin, "So I guess you'll be fighting crime with Bruce and the others?"

"That's right," confirmed Barbara, "as Batwoman. Do you think it's suitable for me?" Robin nodded and said, "totally. If there's anyone who's earned the right to call herself Batwoman, it's you Barbara." Babs picked up Robin and said, "thanks babe. I'm glad you approve. I love you." She kissed Robin on the lips, and when she finished, Robin said, "I love you too, Barbara."
