Robin The Good Samaritan
A/N: This story takes place in the year 2016.
It was a typical sunny afternoon on a road 90 miles away from Gotham City. And in the middle of the road, a psychedelic looking van was driving. It had various colors with the words Free Bird on it. The owner of the Free Bird was an unusual fellow because he wasn't human or a metahuman or an alien. He was a toon, a black and white ink spotted toon with dog like features and a bulbous red nose, standing at around 5'7, one could almost mistake him for a teenager. He wore a white and orange cap with his dog like ears sticking out, the cap had the word ACME at the center in blue, a short sleeve red and green striped t-shirt, white gloves, bright blue pants, and bright red strap-on sneakers. This was Robin Warner, cousin of Yakko, Wakko, and Dot Warner.
Robin was driving all the way to Gotham City. Several days ago, he was offered a job at the local public television station in Gotham City owned by Warner Bros. They were looking for someone to host a brand new show that would be a compilation of old Warner Bros cartoons, and various other shorts from the Turner intellectual property that WB owned. And maybe a movie from the WB library on occasion. Robin was more than happy to take the job if it meant showing off classical animation. So here he was, driving to Gotham in his Freebird, listening to Smells Like Nirvana by Weird Al Yankovic. While he was driving, Robin noticed a young man was trying to hitchhike. He was a Caucasian man with short light brown hair and dark blue eyes. He looked to be a college graduate and stood at around 5 ft 11 and a half with an athletic build. He wore a long sleeved yellow collared shirt with a mahogany sweater vest, blue jeans, green socks, and black Chuck Taylor high top sneakers. He looked exhausted and tired from hitchhiking. Robin felt bad for the young man and decided to pull over. He rolled down his window for the young man to see him. "You okay dude?" Robin asked the young hitchhiker. The young handsome man looked at Robin with disbelief, and then he asked, "whoa, are you an actual toon?"
"That's right," confirmed Robin, "You okay though? You look like you've been hitchhiking for a while. I got the air conditioning on in my van. You want to come in and get some water?" The hitchhiker wiped some sweat from his forehead and said, "sure, thanks." Robin unlocked the door, and the young hitchhiker got in the passenger seat, sitting down. As he felt the cold air conditioning cool his body, Robin got out a bottle of water for him. The young stranger took the water bottle and drank a little bit of it so as not to over drink. "Thanks again," he said.
"Were you headed anywhere in particular?" Robin asked. "Gotham." said the stranger, "My car got stolen so I may need to go to the Gotham City Police Department." Robin smiled a little and said "Well what a co-inky dink! I'm headed to Gotham too. If you want, I can drive you all the way to the Police Department on Gotham so that you can report your stolen car."
"You'd do that for me?" The hitchhiker asked with surprise. "Of course!" Robin replied, "I only have until tomorrow morning to meet with the guys at Gotham's public television station. I think I got enough time to get you to the GCPD. We're not that far away from Gotham anyway." The hitchhiker was moved by Robin's kindness and said with joy, "thank you so much Mr... Uh, what's your name?" Robin chuckled, "oh where are my manners? My name is Atticus Melvin Isadore Frederick Charles Bosko Steven George Walton Lucas Warner. But everyone calls me Robin." He offered his hand and the young man chuckled, "oh I get it, a long name gag like Dot Warner? Are you related to her and her Warner Brothers?" As he shook his hand, Robin confirmed, "that's right. I'm their cousin. Quite a family resemblance, wouldn't you say?" The young man laughed, "I'll say it is. You're a lot taller from what I've noticed. My name is Kevin Beaumont."
"Well it's nice to meet you Kevin Beaumont," replied Robin, "Now we're not strangers anymore. Now what say we drive to Gotham?" Kevin buckled his seatbelt in the passenger seat and said, "lead the way." Robin then started the Free Bird and started driving to Gotham City, not knowing of the crazy adventures he was about to partake in.
