It was now Saturday and Robin was getting out of bed and making himself breakfast. He was quite excited to give Barbara this cure. While he was eating his breakfast and drinking his coffee, Robin was watching the recent episode that he filmed yesterday for Toon Time. But he also wondered how Barbara was doing and if she got enough sleep last night. After all, Barbara did a lot as Oracle. Hours after eating breakfast and getting himself cleaned up, it was now the afternoon and Robin got his keys, phone, and wallet, putting them into his pockets, and then he got out of the apartment. Like I said, Robin was excited, but also nervous. Robin shut the door behind him and then he wandered over to Barbara's apartment because he agreed to drive her to Wayne Manor. He then decided to knock on the door.

Suddenly, Barbara opened the door, an amused smile on her face. She was wearing a green sweater, dark blue pants that could almost be mistaken for black, and white sneakers, her red hair in a ponytail while wearing her usual glasses. "Sheldon Cooper much, Robin?" Barbara asked. "Hey Babs," said Robin, "You ready to go to Wayne Manor?" Babs smiled and said, "yeah I'm ready." Barbara then rolled her wheelchair out of her apartment and shut the door, and Robin followed her while they went outside. Barbara rolled her wheelchair to the passenger door of Robin's car and opened the door, using all her upper strength to get inside the passenger seat. Robin folded her wheelchair and put it in the back of his vehicle. Robin then got in the driver's seat, buckling up. "If this cure works, I won't have to worry about getting in a passenger seat when in a wheelchair," said Barbara as Robin started the car. "It'll work." Robin said optimistically, "how do you feel about all this?"

"Nervous, but excited at the same time," admitted Barbara, "and also hopeful at the idea that I'll be able to walk again. I really want to thank you for this, Robin. This really means a lot to me." As Robin drove, he smiled at Barbara and said, "Of course. That's what friends are for. I would do just about anything to make you happy." Barbara lovingly stroked Robin's whiskers. "You are the sweetest man I've ever met," she said, causing Robin to blush. Several minutes later, Robin and Barbara made it to Wayne Manor, and Robin parked in his usual spot. After getting the wheelchair out of the back and Barbara got back in the wheelchair, she and Robin wandered on over to the garage. "Dumb question, are you still going to use the elevator even when you're able to walk?" Robin asked as Barbara pressed the button to activate the elevator inside the garage. "Tempting, tempting," said Babs, "It is a convenient shortcut. But if I'm able to walk again, I'd rather take the scenic route downstairs." She playfully winked at Robin.

He and Barbara got into the open elevator, and Barbara pressed the down button. The elevator closed and then went down to the Batcave. The two patiently waiting, Robin sometimes looking into Barbara's sky blue eyes. A minute later, the elevator opened, and the two got out of the elevator and into the Batcave. "I will never get over how cool this cave is," complimented Robin. "Yeah, me too," agreed Barbara. Robin followed Barbara as she rolled her wheelchair all the way to where the Batcomputer was. Waiting for the two of them was Bruce in his civilian clothes, Alfred, and Kevin. "Hey guys," said Robin as he and Barbara waved hello to the three gentlemen. "Hello Atticus, hello Barbara." Bruce said in his naturally gruff voice, but this time it sounded calmer and almost happy, "Barbara, are you ready for this?" Barbara looked up at Bruce and said, "More than anything. Let's do this." Bruce wandered over to the freezer and said, "I had this formula kept under super coolant freezing to ensure it would remain safe."

"Naturally." Barbara said while smirking. As Bruce took the glowing neon purple formula out of the freezer, he explained, "the Batcomputer analyzed part of the formula when Atticus gave it to me after he arrived back in Gotham last night. So far the formula is still in its liquid form. It's not toxic and should be safe to consume." He then gave the glass vial to Barbara. She then opened up the lid, breathing almost nervously as she looked at the glowing neon purple liquid that could potentially give her back her ability to walk again. "It's one small step for women, and one giant leap for the cure to paralysis," encouraged Robin. Kevin did a sign of the cross. Barbara looked at the formula one last time, and then drank it up in one gulp. She gave a disgusted look after drinking it and said, "yech.... It may be safe to drink, but it sure doesn't taste good..."

Everyone waited for what would happen next as they watched patiently. Barbara started to sweat as the formula started to work inside her body. Robin took off his white glove on his right hand and held her hand as the once damaged nerves started to revive inside Barbara's body, and not only that, but the spine started to miraculously heal, reconnecting as if it had never been destroyed by a bullet in the first place, and all the nerves that connected to the waist down connected with her upper spine. After a minute of sweating and intense breathing, Barbara calmed down, often holding Robin's ungloved hand right back. "Are you okay Barbara?" Robin asked with concern. "How do you feel, Miss Gordon?" Alfred calmly asked. "I'm okay." Barbara said calmly, "I think I felt my body healing. Weird part is, it almost felt a bit euphoric." Indeed, Barbara's nipples felt hard as she looked down at her feet. Suddenly, for the first time in six years, Barbara started to move her toes inside her shoes. She gasped with delight. "Robin... I moved my toes!" Barbara said in amazement, "I can feel my legs!" She lifted her right leg and smiled while rolling her foot around, letting out tears of joy. "It worked, Robin! It's a miracle!" Kevin said enthusiastically. Robin smiled and said, "this is great!" Barbara then scooted a little so that her feet could touch the floor, and then Barbara stood up for the first time since Joker shot her, accidentally knocking down her wheelchair. Standing up, Barbara was 5'7, the same height Robin was.

"Finally! I can walk again!" Barbara said with joy. "I congratulate you Barbara," said Bruce, "we're all happy for you. How about we run some tests now to see how your agility works." Suddenly, Barbara's stomach started to gurgle and the Batcomputer started beeping with intensity, stating that another chemical was in the formula that cured Barbara's paralysis. "Another chemical?" Bruce asked with alarm. The computer also stated that Barbara's skeletal and flesh structure was increasing. And indeed that was the case as Barbara started to grow taller, her arms and legs lengthening from her sleeves and pants. Her glasses fell off her growing body and her hair snapped out of her ponytail. Robin watched in astonishment as Barbara's hands increased in size and her arms burst forth, ripping off the sleeves in her damaged sweater. Barbara looked in shock and amazement as she kept on getting taller and her clothes started tightening. She could feel her feet getting bigger, her socks inside starting to rip apart and her shoes tightening. Her breasts were also starting to get bigger, tightening inside her bra and causing her sweater to rip on the front. The back of Barbara's sweater burst open. Barbara's toes then popped out of her ripping sneakers and the shredded remains of her sweater fell off. Robin watched in shock as Barbara's shoes exploded off her now large bare feet. "Pinky, you nimrod," scolded Brain, "You put growth hormones into the formula! Why did you do that?!?!?! Growth spurts and spontaneous orgasms?!?!?!" Pinky laughed nervously, "in my defense... The growth hormones were the only thing stabilizing the ability to cure paralysis." Brain and Bruce looked over the combined chemicals. After looking over the combined chemicals, Pinky was right. The growth hormones were indeed stabilizing the cure. "Are the effects temporary?" Barbara asked, "I know my dad would be happy I can walk again, but if he saw me as a giant woman, I think all the color in his hair, whatever's left of it, would turn ghost white!"

"I'm sorry Miss Gordon, but the effects are permanent," stated Brain. Pinky gave an apologetic and guilty look and said, "I'm really sorry that this happened to you Barbara..." Robin also had a guilt-ridden look on his face as he replied, "we both are." Barbara gave a more soft expression and replied, "oh... don't beat yourselves up, boys. I know you both had the best of intentions. Especially you, Robin." Brain then chimed in, "You will find that in your 10-ft frame Miss Gordon, your strength and stamina will have increased tenfold. I wouldn't say you're equally strong as a Kryptonian like Superman, but I will say that you would be strong enough to take on someone under the influence of that one strength enhancing drug known as Venom. I think you might be able to lift a truck with ease now." Bruce nodded and said, "I'll be sure to run those kinds of tests with Barbara, Brain."

"Very well then," said Brain, "If any of you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. And Miss Gordon, I know a few useful objects to help with your 10-ft frame from the Acme store online. I do recommend them, they're very helpful for tall people. Take care, now." Bruce then hung up. Robin looked up at Barbara and asked, "are you going to be okay?" Barbara smiled and said, "I was able to get through my paralysis and overcome those personal demons, even if I had the occasional nightmare. I think I'll be able to get through this too. Especially since I know I'm not alone." She smiled at her surrogate family, ready to face this big change in her life. No big deal, right?
