I fail to fathom,
how everyone thinks that "fun"
is the same for everyone. They think "fun" means binging Netflix,
partying, listening to music, running, and jumping around.

"Fun" is something that differs from person to person.
For me, it's inking my thoughts, or spending time with
my closest friends or relatives. "Working" is also very fun for me,
because the "work" that I do, is for the sake of my Creator.
When I "work" I know that I'll be rewarded for all the good I do.

For others, it may be drawing or jumping up and down the sofas,
or even just staring at the sky and stars, and some
might find studying fun. Some find solving
maths problems fun.

To each their own. But we must remember, that this world
is not for enjoyment. This world is our exam hall
where we have to choose between right and wrong.
Those who obey shall never be in dismay,
those who turn away, Hell will be at the end of their way!

So then my dear brothers and sisters,
If you want ultimate success, work for the next life
the next life is permanent - success here is nothing compared to success there!
This life is only from 60-120 years - some leave the exam hall earlier.

Once we migrate from Jahiliyyah (ignorance) to Hidaya (guidance),
the definition of "fun" changes -
whatever our Lord, the King of the Worlds commands us to do - we do
and whatever He (سبحانه وتعالى) forbids us to do - we stay far away from it
and therefore we see music, dating, etc. as things
that will lead us to nowhere but Jahannam (hellfire)
and so it's definitely not fun!

And activities like learning the Quran and understanding it,
becomes emotional and full of fun -
because understanding what our Creator, the King of the Worlds
wants us to know - is something that will bring us to tears (of happiness).

Author's Note: Once we migrate from Jahiliyyah to Hidayyah, our perceptions change - we change. I want to mention an Ayah. It's the 64th Ayah of Surah 'Ankabut:

"And this life of the world is only an amusement and a play! Verily, the home of the Hereafter - that is the life indeed (i.e. the eternal life that will never end), if they but knew."
