Caitlin's POV.

All I see is pitch black all around me, and I can't hear or sense anything. It's like everything is cut off, and I'm stuck in nothingness. That is until every sound around me rushes in. I hear the wildlife outside, I hear Bella and Wendy giggling downstairs as Erin talks to Edward and Emmet. I hear Alice, Rosalie and Esme chatting away in another room as Carlisle talks with Jacob only a few feet away. I also hear my heartbeat, loud and clear, but it's merged with what sounds like another... I gasp for air as I sit up quickly. Carlisle and Jacob freeze in their conversation before they rush to my side.

"Caitlin!" Jacob says loudly before engulfing me in a hug. I hear everyone freeze downstairs before running to the room. Even Bella seemed to hear Jacob.

"Caity!!!" Wendy cheers before hugging me away from Jacob. I chuckle a little.

"Wendy..." I sigh softly in relief of her safety. "You're okay..."

"She's okay? It was you who got their heart ripped out! Are you feeling okay?!" Emmett asks loudly, sounding panicked.

"I'm fine... What happened to Jones?" I ask them.

"Ripped him apart for what he's done to you. He deserved so much worse." Edward growls out before Bella calms him. "It's good you're okay."

"Yeah..." I say softly, taking a moment to listen to the heartbeat again. "What did I miss? Anything exciting happen?"

"Edward and Bella's wedding is gonna happen in two days." Alice says happily. "That gives you plenty of time to heal."

"Alice!" Rosalie scolds softly. Everyone looks to the two.

"Oh... Sorry, I forgot..." Alice whispers.

"Forgot what, Pixie?" Jacob asks from beside me, where he holds my hand to him.

"Well... Rosalie and I did some research... This has only ever happened twice to a Legend. The first time, the Legend died. We don't know why the other survived, but it seemed they were unable to heal properly for months..." Alice explains softly. "But you'll heal as fast as a human for now, and then it'll take a while for your healing abilities to kick back in."

"Well, Caitlin will just need to take it easy for now." Jasper says softly, smiling slightly at me. Everyone nods before giving me a hug or a kiss on the head before leaving. Jasper kissed my forehead last, and left me and Jacob alone in the room.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asks worriedly. I smile softly.

"I'm fine, Jake..." I whisper softly, releasing his hand. "You... You should go."

"I'm not leaving you, Caitlin. You may have pushed me away, but you won't get rid of me that easily." He kisses my forehead. "I love you, Caitlin... I won't ever stop any time soon..."

I nod silently, too tired to argue with him. We just stayed there, in a comfortable silence, both thinking over what has recently happened. I don't know if Jacob can hear it, but I can't help but loose all senses when I listen to the heartbeat. I don't know what it means, but it gives me slight hope. It confuses me to no end, but gives me hope I can... Be happier. I am happy with Jacob, but if he does leave me, if it is true, then I will still be happy. After a while Alice and Rosalie came back in and helped me to my room and helped me to change before letting Jacob in for the night.

"Tomorrow we'll have you try on some dresses. Get some rest." Alice offers before closing my bedroom door behind her. I sigh as I lay back on my bed and watch Jacob smile as he covers me up with a blanket.

"Night, Caitlin..." He kisses my forehead before standing up to leave. I grab his hand and pull him closer to the bed.

"Stay here tonight..." I whisper softly and he nods before we both lay down and fall asleep together, embracing each other close.

Next day!

Alice woke me up early the next day and took me shopping for a dress. I luckily refrained her from buying too much, and we decided on a red dress with an outer lace, pale heels, a ring, pearl necklace and a small purse that matched the jewelry and shoes. When we returned it was already nightfall, so we go inside to see Esme setting a plate of dinner down for me, before kissing my cheek and taking my bags upstairs with Alice. I don't question them, or refuse the meal, I simply sit down and eat what was made. After I finish eating I head upstairs and find Jacob sitting on my bed reading an old book.

"What are you reading?" I ask curiously as I crawl under the covers feeling immensely cold. He wraps an arm around me and pulls me closer to his body heat.

"I was reading the book Alice found for your... Condition. It tells a lot about Legends. It answers a few questions I have..." He smiles. "Did you know that after Carlisle helped me, I was visited by your ancestor? The very first Legend to be exact. She explained to me what happened to her, and some things about you too. She told me why Jones wanted you, and why you left... She also wanted me to give something to a very unique person in my future." He kisses my forehead. "I think she told me I haven't met them yet, but she did ask me a question that helped you. It turns out that when something like this happens to a Legend, their ancestor visits them to ask their mate this question, and it decides if they love or not..."

"So... You wanted me to live? Even after all I've done to you..." I whisper, processing it all.

"She explained why you did it, Caitlin. I never stopped loving you because of your choice. The pain I was going through was the imprint pull, trying to tell me you were... In danger." He explains.

I nod tiredly and he sets the book on the bedside table before wrapping me in both his arms and kissing my head. He turns off the lights and we both fall asleep soon after, dreaming of a happy future, and the wedding happening tomorrow.

Morning

Hours after waking up I help Alice finish getting everything ready for the wedding in a couple hours. I also helped Edward with the rest of the plans for the Honeymoon on the island Carlisle bought for Esme. Everyone was doing something, Erin helping the guys finish a few more things with the isles, Wendy helping Esme in the kitchen, Alice and Rosalie helping Bella get ready, and Jacob seemed to have disappeared this morning before I woke up. Even though I helped a lot today, no one let me walk to much or do anything to over exert myself due to my injuries. My heart was finally back to the way it was, the small heartbeat still there but barely noticeable, but I head some wounds from when Jones had slammed me around. I followed Esme upstairs so that we could both get ready since everything else was finished and all that was left was getting dressed and ready before greeting and mingling with the guests.

"Caitlin?" Someone knocked on my door as I finished putting on my heels. "It's me, Seth. I came to tell you that Billy wants to see you. My moms here too."

Sue and Billy were very kind and welcoming to me, even though I was already close with Billy, although we hadn't seen much of each other with everything going on. I still kept in touch with Billy even when Jones wanted to take me away. I wasn't able to go to the bonfires as much as I used to, but the pack understood that because of Jones and the Cullen's, I couldn't put them in danger and there was a lot on my plate.

"Can you take me to them, Seth?" I asked after opening my door to find Seth dressed for the wedding. He smiled brightly at me and held an arm out to me, which I took and leaned against him a bit.

"I'd be happy to, Caitlin." He smiled, guiding me out of the Cullen's house and into where the wedding was being held and where there was a mixture of vampires, humans and Sue Clearwater and Billy. "I brought her, Billy, just like you asked."

"Hi Billy." I greet, hugging the wheelchair bound man. "Sue." I hug the woman, hugging her longer than usual since I wasn't there when her husband Harry died because of Victoria.

"Caitlin, you haven't changed a bit." Sue claimed as she looked me over. "Except, last I saw of you, you didn't have any wounds."

"Yeah, I had some trouble with a creepy stalker of mine." I told her, not giving any of the other humans something to know about. "How have you been? How's Leah? I'm sorry I wasn't there for you and the kids after Harry. I should have at least called."

"I'm fine, and Leah's dealing with it okay. It wasn't your fault, Caitlin. No ones but that redhead. I missed you so much, dear." She kissed my forehead as she hugged me again. "I'm sure Leah did too."

"I've missed you guys too. Would you like to meet my sister?" I ask the kind woman, who nodded and grabbed my hand. I guide her to where Wendy and Erin speak to Renee, Bella's mother.

"You two seem so familiar to me, I feel like I've heard your names before..." Renee says, smiling at them.

"Well, Wendy an Erin are really popular names." Wendy says, looking at Erin before looking and seeing me approach with Sue. "It was nice meeting you, Renee, you have a wonderful and beautiful daughter." Wendy says before dismissing herself and Erin and heading to where me and Sue wait. "Hi big sis. Who's this?"

"Wendy, Erin, this is a friend of mine, Sue Clearwater." I introduce. "Sue, this is my sister Wendy and her husband Erin."

"It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Clearwater, you have two bright and talented children." Erin smiles contently, shaking Sue's hand.

"Yes, Seth and Leah are lovely and very good people. I'm sure they'll grow up to be very powerful warriors." Wendy smiles kindly.

"It's nice to meet the sister of my best friend. And thank you, Seth and Leah have both gone through a lot and I'm happy they have grown with Caitlin in their lives." Sue says cheerfully.

Even though I had lived with the Cullen's, when both Leah and Seth were born is always find time to come visit Harry and Sue whenever I could. I'd make it to every holiday and birthday of the two parents and their children. I was always close to the members of the Quilette Tribe, starting with Ephraim Black. It's only natural that I felt a connection to the ancestors of Jacob, since that's how it led me to him. I know that Jacob was lead to me by his 'love' of Bella. I know that's why Seth feels comfortable and content around Bella back when we were to training to fight the newborns. Normally we feel a connection to someone when they lead us to our mate or imprints.

"We should get to our seats, the wedding will start soon." Billy says as Seth pushes him over to the four of us. I nod and take Seth's place on pushing Billy to where we will be sitting.

"Caitlin." Jacob calls behind me as I stop Billy where he was supposed to be at. "Sorry I disappeared, I had something's to take care of."

"It's okay." I peck his lips before sitting in my seat, him taking his beside me as we wait for Charlie to walk Bella down. Jacob holds my hand as we stand again, watching as my niece walks down the aisle on her fathers arm to the man she loves. I tear up, knowing she is doing something not many of us agree on. No one wishes for a life like this, and she is stubborn.

Bella was going to be turned on her honeymoon, that was the plan. Although I was happy for her being with her soulmate, and Edward finally finding his, I still agreed with Rosalie. Wendy and Erin did too. Bella may have the Legend gene, but she isn't one, so she won't have any offspring unless she's human, and she can't with Edward being a Vampire. I knew of only one other who has had a child of a vampires. I didn't want that for Bella. Rosalie didn't want Bella to be like us since Rose always wanted kids, but being a vampire makes that impossible. Rose thinks Bella is giving up something really important and what could make her life all the worth living. But Bella doesn't understand that, she only understands that she lives Edward, and wants to be with him forever. I shed only a few tears as the ceremony ends and the reception begins. Wendy and Erin stick closely to the newly married couple as everyone congratulates them with speeches. I hug Bella and Edward when it's time for them to go on their honeymoon.

"Bella, I am so happy and proud of you, I will see you when you return." I kiss her forehead before letting her get in the car with Edward.

Jacob had disappeared when Billy, Sue and Seth left. He was still upset about Bella dieing this way, and I knew he had caused drama with the newly weds before he left. I didn't mind that he was worried over his best friend. I was too, she was my family, and I was a Legend, meaning I was protective and worrying over all of my friends and family. It was bound to happen to the both of us. So when Jacob disappears after the two are gone, I don't take it to heart, I know he won't leave me after all we've been through, I just head home to my own glass house and rest in bed as Wendy and Erin stay at the Cullen's for the night. What I don't expect is that Jacob was waiting at home for me, white roses all over the house with candles making a path to my room.
