Caitlin's POV.

After getting caught up with everything that's happened, I show Wendy and Erin to their room so they can get settled in. I say my goodbye to the Cullen's, deciding to use this perfectly good Saturday to go and visit Billy and Sam at Sam's house. I have only ever conversed with Sam, Billy, Jacob and Emily since she was Sam's imprint. I haven't seen Jacob since before I left, so I didn't get to see him after he phased. I head out and drive in my jeep down to Sam's house in the forest. Once I arrive I hear multiple growls.

"What's a leech doing on our territory?" A deep voice growls menacingly.

"Pup, I recommend you not growl at a family member to your Alpha." I growl back, glaring at him in the eyes. "And I assure you, I am no leech."

"Paul. Leave Cait alone." I hear Sam warn. "That goes for all of you. She is a honoured guest, and a part of my family. If that isn't enough reason for you, she is also a Legend."

"My apologies." Paul says through gritted teeth. He was straining himself due to the fact he was the hot tempered wolf of the pack.

"Samuel." I greet my 'cousin'. "How is Emily?"

"She's missed you. Why don't you go in and see her?" Sam smiles down at me as I hear the others move around us to get back to what they were doing before.

"Sure." I walk in and am welcomed by the scent of freshly baked muffins. I rush to the kitchen and hug Emily as I sneak some muffins from behind her. "Hi Em-Em!"

"Caity-Kitty!" She uses her own nickname for me as she squeezes me. "I've missed you so much! It hasn't been the same without you!"

"Mhmmm." I say, trying to sound like I'm not stuffing my face with five muffins at a time.

"I thought so. You were just trying to reach the muffins behind me, weren't you?" She asks, pulling away from our hug as she watches my stuffed mouth. I nod hesitantly.

"I stwill mwissed wou." I say through the food. She sighs.

"No talking with food in your mouth! And you've missed my cooking." She says, obviously smiling as I fiddle with the last muffin in my hand.

"M-maybe..." I mumble before seeing her raised eyebrow. "Okay! I have! No one bakes as good as you!!! You and Esme are the best cooks I have ever met!!!" I sob into her shirt, feeling so sad I have missed out on all the delicious food.

"C-Caitlin... I didn't mean to... To make you cry..." Emily whispers, obviously about to cry with me too. Neither of us could ever stay strong if the other was crying. She was soon crying with me, both clutching into each other for dear life before Sam came in and froze in place.

"S-Sammy..." I whimper. "I think I have to move in now..." I sniffle a bit. "I can't leave Emily or her delicious food alone anymore!!!"

"C-Caitlin! Don't cry! You'll make Emily cry–" he cuts himself off as he sees Emily already crying. "Girls! Girls! It's okay, calm down!" He tried to comfort us. "What'll stop you two from crying?"

"I need my Billy!" I sob, crying into Emily's shoulder as she does to mine as well.

"I'm right here, Cait." A voice says. I turn to see Billy in the doorway in his wheelchair. He opens his arms and I hug him close to me. I stop crying and hear Emily stop too.

"I missed you guys so much." I say, wiping away my tears. I look at Emily and it looks like she hasn't been crying at all, and I know I look like that too. "Okay. Time to catch up!" I cheer. Sam, Emily and Billy all have me sit down and they sit near me too, before explaining all that has happened so far.

"Why did we here crying in here a bit ago?" I hear someone ask from behind me. I look over my shoulder I see Jacob, 'Paul' and some others I haven't yet met.

"Cait got a bit emotional, causing Emily to get emotional too. Nothing to worry about now." Sam smiles as he pats my head and kisses Emily's forehead.

"... What's that smell?" I mutter to myself. No one heard me as they obviously couldn't smell it either. "I'm gonna go on a run. I'll... See you guys later." I say softly, getting up and heading out back.

"Be safe!" Emily yells from behind me. I wave her off before shifting into my black, multicoloured eyed, wolf.

I run to one of the treaty lines, sniffing around. I could smell this scent. It smelled familiar but not... I hear twigs snap behind me before I hear a growl and a hiss. I look to my right and see Jasper there, angered by what was on my left. On my left was a russet coloured wolf.

"Jasper..." I say warningly. He looks at me before standing straight, but still on guard to protect me. "What are you two doing here anyways?"

"I came to see where you decided to run off to." I heard the wolf's thoughts a he still stands in a fighting stance.

"Jacob?" I ask, shocked. The wolf glances at me and nods a bit. "Why would you care where I run off to?"

"You hear me?" He asks.

"I'm a Legend, remember?" I chuckle. "It's apart of the package I guess." I look over at Jasper who continues to glare at Jacob's wolf. "Jasper, it's okay. I'm fine with him. He won't harm me, so go on back home and tell the others I'm okay."

"But–"

"Jasper." I warn, cutting him off. He looks from me, to Jacob, and then back to me before nodding and disappearing in a blur. "Jacob, do you recognise this scent?" I ask him, he sniffs the air before cringing a bit.

"It smells like the redheaded leech." He growls.

"May I?" I ask, holding my hand out, signalling to touch his head. He nods and sits in front of me. As soon a I make contact with his fur, I see visions of every encounter him and the pack have had with this red haired vampire. "Victoria..."

"Do you know her?" He asks me, finally we make eye contact during the whole time I've seen him since I've been back. I see only him, no trees. Only him. I see him in the past, crushing on Bella. I see him helping Bella after me and the Cullen's left. I see him phasing for the first time. I see him fighting Paul because he was going to hurt Bella. What scares me most of these visions, was the one of the future. I see him, battling agains newborns. Him being injured by them...

Jacob's POV.

After me and Caitlin make eye contact, all I can see is her. I see her smiling face as she plays with two little kids, both look similar to her. I see her shift and hurt a little boy. I see her sadness and guilt whenever she would look at the little girl beside her. I see two adults who become depressed. I see her and the little girl, both in black, standing before three graves. I see her fleeing from the girl, being chased by the leader of the Cullen coven. I see her falling off the cliff my pack usually dive off of. I see her befriending the Cullen's. I see her visiting me, dad, Sheriff Swan, and Bella. I see her going to Seattle to find a black haired girl. I see her laughing with the girl, and a black haired boy too. What I fear most happens. I see her fighting against vampires, and being wounded as she protects the black haired girl and Bella. I snap out of it as I see Caitlin on the floor, crying.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." She sobs, pulling at her hair. "This wasn't supposed to happen. I wasn't supposed to get a mate. I wasn't supposed to meet you and show you these visions."

"What are you talking about? Your my imprint..." I think to her, knowing she can hear me.

"I'm not supposed to get one!!!" She screams at me, lifting her head to look me straight in the eyes again. Her cheeks flow with tears, her eyes change from their orangish state, and into a silver one.

"Do you know how long I've walked this earth?! Do you know how many I've killed?! How much I've sinned?! I should not be given the gift of a mate!" She yells, getting angrier before collapsing onto the forest floor, bursting into more tears. "I killed my own brother... How am I to know I won't do that to you...? Or to my pups...?"

"You won't. I know you won't." I say before wrapping my wolf body around her, trying to give her comfort. She wraps her arms around my neck and lays against me. "I trust in you. I know you'd never hurt me."

"I'm so sorry Jacob..." She whimpers against my fur. She sniffles a bit before sitting up. "Do... Do you wanna go talk at my house...? It's close by, and it's getting really dark out..."

"I'd love that..." I nuzzle my head against her as she gets up.

She goes behind a tree and when she comes back out, she's a black wolf with a green left eye and blue right. She carries her clothes in her mouth and gestures her head in a direction following the border line. I follow after her and after 5 minutes we make it to a wooden and glass house, with furniture outside to sit on. She licks my head before going behind a tree and coming back, fully dressed.

"I'll go get some clothes for you." She jogs into the house and comes back with some shorts for me. I change behind a bush and when I come out, she's standing by the door, waiting for me. "Are you hungry?"

"I could eat." I smile as I shrug at her. She nods and guides me into her house, and straight to the kitchen where I sit at a bar stool.

"I'll make some sandwiches." She says, getting some meat and other ingredients she'd need. "You can take a look around the house if you want."

"Thanks." I say, getting up and walking down the hall. I look at photos on the wall, some of the little boy and girl from the vision, and another of Caitlin, the girl and guy she was laughing with in Seattle, and some others with the Cullen's. I turn down the hall and come face to face with a portrait of My dad, Mr. Swan, Bella, and me. We were all smiling, but I don't remember taking this picture.

"Most of these are ones I've painted. I hope you don't mind." Caitlin says from behind me.

"I don't mind. I think your really talented." I smile back at her. I grab her hand and lead it to the picture of her and the two from Seattle. "Who are these two?"

"That's my sister, Wendy. And her husband/mate, Erin..." She whispers with a smile. "You'll meet them both if you go to the graduation party tomorrow."

"Who are these two?" I ask, referring to the little boy and girl from my vision.

"This is Wendy when she was little... An her twin brother..." She says sadly. "Um... His name was Dominic. He was always so playful, even at the worst of times..." She says, choking back tears. "Him and Wendy... They were playing out back when I first shifted... I was so angry about something... And they didn't know I was dangerous..."

"You don't have to continue. It's okay." I rub her back. She leans into me, staring at the portrait of Dominic.

"Wendy was too close to me... I heard my parents yell for her to get away... Dominic kept saying I wouldn't hurt them... Then I felt myself move involuntarily... My paw was about to strike Wendy when Dominic threw her out of the way, taking the blow... He was only 5... I killed my baby brother..." She sobs at the end. "W-Wendy grew afraid of me... Until a week before my parents died of depression... She had finally understood I wasn't in cintrol... She had loved me still, but she never stopped fearing me until the day I got custody over her after our parents died... Then I got word the Volturi were hunting me down... She have me a necklace and matching earings, so I would remember my promise to her... I never wore the jewellery, not until I saw her in Seattle. She convinced me to start wearing it..." She says, fiddling with a heart shaped charm on her necklace. It had the word 'Sister' on it. I saw her wearing heart gaped earrings too.

"It's okay..." I whisper, pulling her into my arms, hugging her to show her confort. To show that it was over.

"Anyways. The foods done." She says, pushing away from me and walking back to the kitchen. My heart hurt from her action, and her past.
