Thanksgiving was today.

I was nervous, a lot of Gerald's family members were going to come for the Thanksgiving dinner and I didn't know what to expect.

A lot of questions lingered in my brain .

Would they like me? Would they be creeped out that I was gay? Would they call me a burden to Gerald, I wasn't sure but I had to have positive thoughts, not everyone was a sadist like my father.

" Can you pass me the syrup?" Evie said to me without even looking my way.

"Yeah. Sure your majesty, just type away on your phone while other people do stuff for you." I sarcastically said to her while handing her the syrup.

"Bitch." She retorted with an eye roll.

"Hey. Their are babies here." Mike said while covering his ears.

"Speak for yourself mike because I'm no baby." Abby said. " I can teach you all the swear words you need to know."

"And where did you learn them Abby?" Gerald folded his arms across his chest.

"From Evie, she's the best." Abby innocently said.

We all looked in Evie's direction.

"Shoot me." She  got up from the dining table and walked away to the living room.

" Somebody needs to discipline this girl before she corrupts my babies with her bad mouth." My mother shook her head in disappoinment.

I chuckled and continued with my breakfast.

...

" I received a call from mom that she won't be able to make it to diner." Gerald announced to everyone in the living room.

I couldn't concentrate on what was going on around me because my focus was on Wave who hadn't arrived yet and the dinner was in a few hours.

" Why isn't grandma coming?" Evie asked Gerald.

" Apparently, she sprained her ankle while working in her garden, I had told her many times not to over work herself but that woman never listens to me."  Gerald facepalmed." Your mother and I have suggested that we will have dinner over at grandma's house."

"Yey!" Abby and Mike screeched in excitement.

" But it's an hour drive  away from here." Evie reasoned.

" That's why we are leaving now."  Mom walked past us in a hurry.

"Now! But Wave isn't here yet." I said panicky.

" Wave is coming?" Evie looked at me surprised.

"Yes, I invited him." A knock resonated on the front door immediately I was done speaking .

" I'm guessing that's him then". Gerald said.

"Can he go with us?"

"Yeah Sure, why not?" My mother said and I ran off immediately to the door to welcome my boyfriend.

Gorgeous, spectacular, beautiful. I couldn't figure out how to describe how Wave looked at that moment.

I was awestruck immediately I opened the door because I was met face to face with a dead gorgeous Wave. He wore black dress pants, black dress shoes and a green button up shirt that brought out the color of his eyes. His usually messy black Raven hair was styled and he was to die for.

" kiss already." Evie shouted from behind me.

"Friends don't kiss." A blush crept on my cheeks.

" yeah Sure." Evie rolled her eyes.

"You look stunning." Wave looked me up and down.

I knew I looked good because I had put a lot of effort in what I wore, probably because I wanted all of Wave's attention today.

"I can't find any word to describe how you look."  I said

" I hope it's good." Wave looked at himself with furrowed eyes.

" Good is an understatement." I smiled.

He smiled back and I led him outside.

" why are we going outside, isn't the dinner supposed to be inside?" He asked with a confused look.

" The venue has changed, we are headed over to grandma's house in the next city." I said unsure.

...

The dinner was delicious, the whole family was eating together and I've never seen such happy and carefree people in my life.

They all exuded a cheerful Aura that one could find solace in. They were not bothered by the fact that I was queer, in fact they kept on insisting that wave and I made a nice couple even though I didn't tell them anything.

" No matter how much you deny it, you two are definitely dating, I mean he has been eye fucking you the whole night." Stephen looked at me suspiciously. "

Stephen was My mother's younger brother, the only family member that was present today, he had come with his husband, Jeremy. The two made a very nice couple but they bickered a lot, it was cute though.

"Babe, stop paying attention to the kids and focus on your food." Jeremy gave his husband a pointed look.

I looked worryingly to Wave's direction but I didn't sense any discomfort from him instead he was just enjoying his food and laughing along with everybody else.

After a few minutes of silence, Casey, one of Gerald's nieces spoke up. " if Skylar and Wave were dating, who do you think would be top and who would be bottom.

" cough" I choked on my food immediately she asked the question.

"Casey, it's not appropriate to talk about other people's affairs."  Gerald's mother, Clarice, said. " I mean... isn't it obvious that Wave would be the top and Skylar the bottom."

I was almost relieved at Clarice's reasoning but her last sentence caught me off guard.

My face was furiously red, everybody laughed and I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.

" I'll definitely top." Wave said out loud and smirked at me.

Kill me. Wave outed himself in front of my family and he was okay with it.  I didn't know if I had to be mad or happy.

" I knew it!" Evie screamed." The two of you are dating."

Everybody looked at Wave and I, anticipating our answer. We looked at each.

" Yes, Sky is my boyfriend." Wave said straight to the point.

" Yeah, I'm not surprised, you guys were obvious from the very beginning.

...

The topic momentarily changed from Wave and I and everyone started telling stories about random things.

The dinner went very well, we exchange presents, said goodbye to everyone and went on our way back home.

The drive home was lively, everyone talked about there favorite moments from the dinner and how they were looking forward to Christmas and new years celebration.
