Meet & Greet

Chapter Three

Stars filled the night sky as Samuel strolled down the streets scouting new victims. So far none of them appealed to his senses like the brunette from earlier. He pulled his cost closer to his body, warding off the freezing air.

The club was alive with music and bodies. It's base pulsing through the streets like a heartbeat. He'd been watching the door in hopes of catching her go inside. Unless he had mistaken her grabbing a flyer as her way of saying she was coming tonight. He had rushed home and freshened up and made it back in time for the opening of the doors. Samuel had been perched against the wall across the street watching like a hawk. Blanketed by the shadows. He would pace ever so often to warm himself up.

Finally, stepping out of a cab—on his side of the street no less—was the leggy woman from earlier. The red and black dress-like outfit she had on hugged every inch of her body, accentuating every curve.

He checked the time and it was only 10:15 p.m. The crowd inside was sure to deliver more potential victims for him. He waited until she was across the street before he followed.

"Not so fast." He heard the bouncer say to her after he had checked her for weapons. "Payment is a kiss, Mistletoe rules." He said smugly pointing to the mistletoe that sat above their heads. He stood back and waited, watching her every move. She gave him a salutary look before planting a big juicy kiss on his female partner.

"See you inside doll face." With her departing words, she walked through the doors.

Samuel stepped up next allowing them to search his person as well.

"Well, would you look at that? Who put that mistletoe there?" The female guard asked playfully.

Samuel smiled and obliged by the unwritten rules, placing a chaste kiss to her cheek. "You can get Mono from kissing too many people in the mouth." He warned and made his way inside.

The music was much louder in here, pulsing through his body. He felt every vibration coursing through his bloodstream. He strode through the crowd with an air of confidence about him. He always knew how to handle himself in crowds, never one to stand out or become a wallflower. Samuel scanned the dark crowd for the brunette with no luck in his search.

He passed by many beautiful candidates to be put on the list, but he needed a name first. There in the dark corner with a man, he spotted her. Her round face framed by the sea of curls that fell from her head. That smile she sported he knew was fake. It was the same smile he's mastered in the presence of the many victims he's lured to the death.

Dodging the many bodies, his long legs carried him over to the mysterious woman. He wouldn't talk to her just yet, he needed to capture her attention first. With skillful hands he slipped her small purse from the back of the chair she sat in. He kept walking until he was a good distance away. Hidden in another dark corner he opened the small bag only to find it empty.

So it was all a ruse. Clever girl. This woman was really piquing his interest.

"Are you done looking for something you won't get?" The voice was like velvet to his ears. Smooth and alluring was the sound.

Samuel looked up and seen the woman standing before him with an impatient look on her face. He took this moment to really study her under the dim lighting the club had to offer. From what he saw both earlier and now, was a woman of pure confidence and like himself, on a mission.
