The purple caped huntress stormed through the alleyways fiercely toward the prey that was to be hunted. Helena grew hungry by the sight of the criminal, smelling his fear dripping down his skin made her salivate.
She hopped down, her heels clicking loudly from the impact, making the thief shudder as she landed right next to him. Helena swung her fist to his stomach then gave him an uppercut to his chin, making the man fall back first onto the ground. The huntress loaded an arrow into her crossbow, pulling back the string, the sound making him tremble in fear.
"I believe you have something that belonged to that poor old lady that you shoved out of the way." The arrow's point smiling by the sharp tip glinting towards him.
The thief shakes his head, "P-Please let me go!! You don't understand, how hard it is to find money around here!! I-I don't-"
Helena lost her patience as soon as the man started talking, she plucked the criminal by the collar and off the floor so that he was at the same eye level as her. "I don't give a shit what situation you're in." She says pointing te arrow up to his chin. "That gives you no right to steal from others. You think you're the only one suffering to find food?"
The man almost breaks into tears from the point of the arrow, but it only made the Huntress want to shoot it through his skull even more. "Tell me where the hell that grandma's damn necklace is pal?!"
"That is the question." Huntress lowers her crossbow from the sound of that voice, she dreaded. The voice belonging to the man, who crawled out of the shadows a couple of steps behind the two. "Huntress." he said, acknowledging the women but his tone showed no emotion.
"Vic." Scolding the faceless man through her mask, "Are you here to stop me?"
"The question is to stop you from doing what? Stop you from killing the man? Or stop you from continuing your violent ways?"
Huntress had little patience, from the thief to this crackpot of a man. Pushing the thief to Question, the criminal screamed till he fainted when he saw the man that didn't have a face. It almost made Helena laugh from that reaction as the justice league member put his hand through the passed out thief's pocket, pulling out a sparkly necklace. "I told you to stop following me." Helena says cracking her knuckles that were sore from punching street thugs and sneaky thieves.
"I happened to pass by," he replies throwing the jewelry to her. Truth to be told he hadn't, and he didn't fool the huntress either. Probably knowing that he would spy on her patrols to make sure she was okay.
As caring as that may seem to be it only seem to piss Huntress off even more. She covered her anger and only let out a fake laugh, "That's cute, Q." Helena says examining the necklace she caught from him. "Too bad we broke up," she answered with no emotion.
Those words made Question tense, Huntress didn't need to rip off that mask of his to know that he felt uncomfortable. He coughs, clearing his throat. "I only wanted to see if you were doing alright."
Huntress turns to the faceless man who had his head lowered, so that he was staring at the ground. "No need," She says with a bitter tone. "I'm not with the Justice league anymore, and it's not like I'm your girlfriend." Helena smiles, meeting his empty expression. "So you have no other reason to see me."
Question looked down, how could she be this cold hearted? "Helena.." he started to say.
"Don't." She said sternly, and Q knew well enough not to say a word when her voice became as serious as it was now. Huntress sighs furiously, putting the necklace to the side. "Don't follow me anymore, okay?"
Something cracked inside of him, he didn't need to investigate what it was to know it was his heart.
"We're done." The women behind the purple mask says, before shooting a grappling arrow, disappearing over the ledges of buildings.
