Rhysand- Jealous (c)
When Rhys wasn't in the mood to dance with you at a party, you had gratefully accepted Cassian's invitation to the dancefloor. You had been friends with the Illyrian for longer than you had been dating Rhysand, so you were glad to dance with a friend, especially when you looked over to your fiancé who was glaring at you.
"You noticed too?" Cassian chuckled as he leaned in to whisper in your ear.
"He has no reason to be jealous, but you know how he is," you shrugged. "He didn't have a problem with leaving me to dance alone but when I danced with you, there's an issue."
Cassian laughed as he looked over at Rhys who was trying to hide his grumpy expression, but it was too late when you were both well aware of his distain for your dance.
"Want to piss him off?" Cassian asked.
You nodded your head. You didn't want to upset Rhys but riling him up a bit was quite enjoyable especially when he negatively reacted to whatever he disagreed with.
Cassian didn't need to be told twice before he grinned and pulled you close to him so that there wasn't any space between the two of you. Before you had barely even touched when you danced, so if that bothered Rhys, then this would drive him completely insane. He continued to hold you close as you swayed to the music, both of you trying to sneak a glance at your High Lord, but the second time you looked over to his seat, it was no longer occupied.
You tried to look around the other dancing figures to try and find where Rhys had gone but when you saw a hand curl over the top of Cassian's shoulder, his location became evident.
"Can I speak with you, Y/N?" Rhys said through gritted teeth.
Your dancing partner did his best to subdue his laughter before you followed after your fiancé to a quiet hallway. Once you were away from prying eyes and ears, you were pushed against a wall, Rhys' arms trapping you from either side.
"You wished to speak?" You stated, trying to keep your expression flat.
"What do you think you were doing?" He growled.
You couldn't help but grin at him, receiving the response that you had hoped would happen.
"You're jealous, aren't you?" You smirked.
"Why would I be jealous of Cassian?" He frowned. "I just don't like seeing anyone getting that close to you, that should be me."
He towered over you, a dark hunger in his eyes.
"That's sounds like jealousy to me," you mocked.
Rhys snapped at that comment, taking your lips with his own making sure that you knew that he only had eyes for you and wanted you to see him in the same manner.
