Morrigan- Dress (c)
You doubted everything that Mor had said but she was very persuasive, and you found it almost impossible to say no to her. It had seemed like a good idea to go shopping with her, even after Amren told Mor where to shove the idea and warned you of the consequences of agreeing. Maybe he had been right. You had trapsed in and out of every shop that Velaris had to offer, not focusing on a dress shop where Mor had seen a gown in the window that she was adamant would look stunning on you.
After having been to so many shops, you realised it was a futile effort to fight with her, so agreed to try it on. She was right about it being a beautiful gown, but you would never have picked anything like that for yourself. Mor had dragged you to the changing room, forcing you inside with the dress with a threat of entering within a few minutes if you didn't come back out in it, and seen as you had tested the threat earlier in the day, you knew that she wasn't fearful of stripping you in front of the store to make you see how you would look in a dress.
It took some time to get the dress on, the lace at the back undone as you drew back the curtain, not able to reach it yourself. A grin curled onto her lips as she grabbed you by the shoulders, practically shaking you with excitement.
"You look stunning," she grinned, forcing you to turn so that she could get her hand on the lace to tie it up.
"Do you really think so?" You questioned, looking into the mirror at the back of the changing room.
It was a nice dress, and it did suit you, but with the bags under your eyes and dishevelled hair from trying to keep it out of your face as you walked around all day, it did look a bit out of place.
"As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for you. It brings out your eyes," she assured you, hugging you from behind so that she could see her own head propped on your shoulder in the mirror. "And I'm pretty sure there was a necklace three shops ago that would match perfectly."
You tiredly smiled at her, knowing that she was your biggest supporter and always able to make you smile.
"I don't have the money for something like this. Maybe one day," you shrugged. "Can you undo it so I can get changed?"
She obliged but shook her head at the first comment. "Nonsense, it's my treat. You've kept me company all day, and I have more money than I have any use for. It would also be criminal to not have you wear that to Starfall next week."
"You don't have to," you stated.
"I know but I want to."
