Amidst the desert in Plegia, Cordelia woke up early at the crack of daybreak, the sun beginning to rise for the new day. This was apart of her daily routine.

Wake up and do a check on her inventory, and possibly the Army's inventory as well, and check on her pegasus before heading off to train. As she walked through the soft sand, her armored boots making it a bit difficult to walk through, each step sinking slightly into the sand, she heard grunting noises, along with the sounds of someone swinging and slashing their sword with great force.

Curious about it, Cordelia decides to check to see who it was that was causing such a commotion.

She soon finds out that it was Y/N, the Hylian warrior practicing his sword play. Cordelia watched as she sees Y/N swing his blade with grace, his fighting style with his sword unfamiliar to her. At least, not to the standards of Ylissean sword play. The Hylian soon stops and sighs, wiping some sweat off his brow as he sheathes his sword onto his back. He then looked into the direction Cordelia was standing in, making the red head look surprised. It seemed that Y/N was already aware of her arrival.

Y/N: Is there something I can help you with, Miss Cordelia?

Cordelia: A-Ah! Y/N! Um, don't mind me. I was just heading off for some training myself.

Y/N: I see. Don't let me stop you then.

The two stood in silence as they continued to stare at each other. Cordelia found it a bit odd that Y/N was speaking. Well, this much, at least. From what she had seen, Y/N was silent most of the time and never really spoke. His silence usually spoke volumes of what he was trying to say if he did try to speak.

Y/N then spoke up again.

Y/N: I noticed that my medical supplied had been restocked. I had run out in the last battle.

Cordelia: Oh, yes! I did restock your medical supplies yesterday.

Y/N: (nods) I see. Thank you, Cordelia.

Cordelia: Oh, no need for that. I just like to stay on top of things. After all, Lord Chrom cannot lose any sort of manpower at all. Losing you would deal a heavy loss to our forces.

Y/N: I suppose so. But you needn't worry about such trivialities, such as my medical supplies.

Cordelia: Well, if I'm able to keep track of everyone's equipment, I know which ones need replacing.

Y/N: You're able to keep track of everyone's equipment in your head?

Cordelia: Of course. Imagine the chaos if our potions and equipment ran out at the same time.

Y/N: Hmm... I did not think it that way. I can see why that those that think highly of you are able to call you a genius.

Cordelia: (scowls) Do not call me that!

Y/N: (confused) Pardon? I did not mean it that way.

Cordelia: ...No, of course you didn't. (sigh) Please forgive me.

Y/N: No need for apologies, Miss. I seemed to have overstepped my boundaries.

Cordelia: No, it's not that. It's just... My superiors called me that from the moment I joined the knights. It was so very hard sometimes... Little Lady Genius, they called me. They teased and taunted me...

Y/N: I see... (closes eyes) I apologize for the comment.

Cordelia: It's quite alright, Y/N. ...They even mocked me, too... My appearance, my javelin technique...

Y/N: ...So it seems there are people like that here, after all.

Cordelia: Hmm? Did you say something, Y/N?

Y/N: (shakes head) Ah, forgive me. I was mumbling to myself for a moment. I shall leave you to your training, Miss Cordelia.

Cordelia: A-Ah, very well. Have a good day then, Y/N.

Y/N left the scene and headed back for his tent. However, he turned his head around slightly as he watched Cordelia practice her lance technique.

Y/N: (thoughts) ...So, she too has suffered this kind of treatment.

It's been months since I've last posted a chapter for this. In case you hadn't read the announcement I had previously posted, my laptop is broken, which is where I primarily wrote all of my chapters on.

I wrote all of this completely on my phone, and it's not the greatest for doing so. So, forgive me if chapter upload are quite slow.

If you have joined my Discord server and read the announcement there, I have stated that I am building a PC so I can continue writing. It's almost completed, but unsure of when I'll get the parts to arrive at my house and have it built, so chapter uploads are going to be on hold and not as frequent. Nonetheless, I thank you all for being patient with me as to when I'll upload a new chapter.

Until the next one.
