THE NEXT DAY.

"hey kitten" jean said in a flirty voice as she kitten/mikasa walked past. "sorry boy but I'm booked" kitten/mikasa smiled as she walked over to Levi desk. "captain Levi not here um kitten" eren said with a blush. "oh really but he said we meet her at 9:30am everyday at his desk" mikasa said with sad puppy eyes making all the male cops blush. "sorry but he was called out to a case early this morning so can you wait a little longer for him to get back" Marco said with a kind smile. "sure i just hang out with you guys" kitten/mikasa smiled and walked over to their desks. "oh um hey welcome to our desk area" jean said with a big blush and mikasa giggled a little. "here more fan letters eren" Marco said with a small smile as eren hated going though Levi fan letters. "thanks i guess another long day of reading non stop" eren groaned and got started. "i help" kitten/mikasa smiled and started reading. 

30 MINUTES LATER.

"listen up, group 1-4 get gear up we got a gunner in a middle school, head out now" mike yelled as he ran in. "you heard him lets go" a cop yelled and the groups got ready. "I'm coming as well" kitten/mikasa said and they just looked at her. "no way its a job for cops" jean yelled. "you might scare him into shooting if you trap him i can sneak in" kitten/mikasa yelled. "fine but don't do anything stupid" eren said with worry. "stay hidden we get in trouble if they find out we bought you" Marco said with a worried smile. "don't worry I'm the kitten after all" kitten/mikasa smiled.

AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL. 

"group 1 and 3 block the back so he can sneak out, group 4 got to the sides and group 2 stay here" mike yelled and the groups got in place. "wait this is where Armin works" eren said with fear. "yes we know he a friend but keep you head in the mission" mike yelled. "yes sir" jean said back and the others nodded. "where did kitten go" Marco said worried as she was no longer behind them. "kitten, what are you talking about, wait is she here" Levi said as he crossed his arms behind them all. 

WITH ARMIN.

"don't worry kids we be fine help come soon" Armin said with a fake smile trying to stop his class from crying. "shut them up or i make them stay shut up forever" the gunner yelled. "please just let the kids go, they done nothing wrong" Armin begged. "like hell they my shields" the gunner yelled and hit Armin with the gun. "sir" a kid cried and Armin just smiled. "please don't cry class we be ok i promise" Armin said with a small smile and holding his head trying to stop the bleeding. Armin eyes shined when he saw a black figure land behind the man from jumping out of the air vent. Kitten/mikasa placed a finger on her lips so no one called out to her and the kids smiled along with Armin. "why are you so happy" the gunner yelled at the class and the kids jumped.

"a true man don't hide behind children" kitten/mikasa hissed and the gunner turned to her. "you that famous thief kitten" the gunner said looking mikasa up and down. "yes and your a famous gunner who use others to get what he wants" kitten/mikasa said putting a hand on her hip. "you make me sound like a coward kitty" the gunner said with anger. "you are, the only man i see in here is that cutie over there" Kitten/mikasa said pointing to Armin and winking at him. "oh i show you how much a man i am" the gunner yelled and tried punching mikasa but she kept dodging. "you starting to piss me off kitty" the gunner yelled as he tried attacking her. "the name kitten ass" Kitten/mikasa said and slide her foot on the ground tripping the gunner up. "yay" the class cheered but the man grabbed his gun and went to shoot a child. "help" the kid cried and Armin tried running to the kid but he knew he be too late. "you ass" kitten/mikasa yelled and stuck her leg in the way so he shot her leg and the kid would be safe. "thank you" Armin cried as he thought mikasa kicked the gun away. "get these kids out now" Kitten/mikasa yelled and placed her foot on the man hand so he leg go of the gun. "you a dirt just like me why help them" the gunner asked puzzled. "you tried hurting my family i would kill you but i wont dare dirty his work space with your blood" Kitten/mikasa said and jumped back in the air vent when the cops were nearly in the room. 

OUTSIDE.

"Armin" eren yelled and ran over and hugged Armin tight. "I'm fine eren, looks its only a small cut" Armin smiled as he hugged back. "where did kitten go" Levi asked as he still didn't see her. "she saved my class, she was staying with the man when we left" Armin said with worry. "the groups that went in said she was not there when they came" Marco said with worry. "i hope she ok" jean said with worry. "good job guys" mike yelled to all the cops. 

"Armin" mikasa yelled with a no emotion face and cold eyes but ran to her blonde friend. "mikasa you came" eren said shocked as she should be working and guarding someone. "sure i would, my boss told me about where the gunner was heading so i ran straight here" mikasa said and hugged Armin tight. "I'm fine mikasa sorry to worry you" Armin said with a smile and hugged back. "don't be sorry, I'm glad your fine, just look what that ass did to your cute little face" mikasa said kissing Armin cut and making him smile. "well its a good thing we got to the gunner before mikasa did or he be a dead man" eren laughed and joined the hug.

"dirt don't have family was she crazy" the gunner yelled from inside the cop car and everyone turned. "what is he talking about" jean said as they watched. "not sure" Marco said with worry. "dirt should stay in the mud and fight to live not to live a fake hope of family" the gunner yelled like a crazy man. "don't listen to him he just crazy" Armin said with a frown. "yeah he just stuck in the darkness" eren said with a frown and hugged Armin while mikasa let go. "he not so different from me and he not that wrong" mikasa said looking to the ground and both eren, Armin hugged mikasa. "you know I'm right miss" the gunner said as he heard mikasa and he just stared at her. "no matter what we do we always be seen as dirt so enjoy your dream while you can" the gunner yelled. "get him to the jail cell already" mike yelled and the cops started to drive him away. "once we in the darkness we never escape, there never be a light for us" the gunner yelled as he got drive off. "what a crazy nut" Levi hissed and they all turned to him. "mikasa" Armin said with worry as he notice a stain of blood on mikasa leg. "what" mikasa said turning to him. "come with me" Armin said and dragged mikasa away leavening everyone confused. 

WITH ARMIN AND MIKASA.

"why are you bleeding bad" Armin said pointing to her leg. "i said i came from work" mikasa said crossing her arms. "but look at that much blood, you should be in hospital" Armin yelled. "i be fine, i get fixed after i know you be fine" mikasa said and Armin went shocked. "mikasa how did this happen, i knew you didn't have work today" Armin asked worried. "i was training when i over heard some guys talking about the gunner and where he was, i got distracted and i didn't dodged the knife" mikasa said looking to the ground. "your still knife training, why i thought we left that behind" Armin said with tears. "i still need to be able to dodged in my job as a guard and i did leave my past behind but i cant forget it" mikasa yelled back. "mikasa what are you hiding from us" Armin said with more tears and grabbed mikasa hand. "leave it Armin" mikasa yelled with anger and shocked Armin. "mikasa who are you" Armin cried look at mikasa. "Armin why did you ask that" mikasa said shocked and tears forming in her eyes. "mikasa i" Armin stopped and mikasa pushed him back. "i hope you and eren have a good life, I'm glad i got to meet you both, you guys will always be part of me so call if you ever in trouble" mikasa said coldly and dead eyes as she walked away. "mikasa your acting like a low life dirt" Armin yelled and mikasa stopped. "I'm sorry for what i am goodbye Armin live well" mikasa said and ran of. "mikasa" Armin tried running but fell to his knees crying. "Armin" eren yelled with worry as he saw Armin full and ran over with the rest.

"what happened Armin" Marco yelled with worry. "is he hurt" jean asked and they looked him over. "mikasa she gone" Armin cried. "what do you mean, where is mikasa" eren asked with worry. "i said something horrible to her and she left us" Armin said crying into eren. "what do you mean she left "eren said with tears. "i called her something horrible that i knew would kill her but i said and now she left us forever she wont be coming home eren I'm so sorry" Armin cried and eren pushed him off. "please say you didn't call her something so horrible" eren said with tears as he held Armin back. "I'm so sorry i broke her heart even more" Armin cried and eren stood up landing Armin on the ground. "where are you going cop eren" mike asked with worry. "I'm going to find my family and bring her back sir, i wont be in anymore today" Eren said with anger and looked away from Armin. "eren" Armin cried and eren took a step away. "eren" jean said grabbing eren arm as he didn't like how he treating Armin. "back off, you can baby that dick but i wont care for some dirt where a family member is hurt out there" eren yelled and ran off. "are you ok Armin" Marco said with worry as he hugged Armin. "its my fault I'm a horrible person i didn't something so mean to her" Armin cried. "well stop crying like a baby and do something" Levi hissed and walked away leaving everyone shocked.

WITH MIKASA.

"oh its been awhile, would you like your old room" a old women said with a grin. "well i have been paying you to keep it" mikasa said and the old women laughed. "so you finally came back to your true home" the old women laughed and handed mikasa a key. "this is my only home, everything was just a child's dream i woke up from" mikasa said as she grabbed the key and walked to the top floor. "i hope you enjoyed that dream while you had it mikasa cause it be the only one you have" the old women yelled as mikasa walked of. "i did enjoy it even if it was fake but it still stung like hell when i woke" mikasa said and walked to her room on the top floor. 

LATER THAT DAY AT THE STATION. 

"eren, so how did it go" Marco asked with a small smile as eren walked over to his desk. "she took a long holiday from her job and she dropped off the face of earth, no one seen her anywhere" eren hissed as he sat. "I'm sure she come back after she calms down, like come on its mikasa here she be fine" jean smiled. "yeah normally but if Armin said what i think he did, he should have just shot her with a gun and left her to bleed to death" eren snapped and Armin looked to the floor. "get to work all of you" Levi yelled from the other room as he did some paper work. 

FLASHBACK - TO WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG KIDS LIKE 8.

"hurry this way" eren yelled as he ran and pulled his blonde friend hand as they ran. "they catching up eren leave me and save yourself" Armin yelled with fear as he knew he was slow. "no way in hell i leave you now lets go" eren yelled and they ran into another ally not looking back. "ouch" Armin said as they landed on there bums after bumping into someone. "you looking for a fight" a teen around 14 said as he turned to the boys. "hey you two come here" a girl with pretty raven long hair and pretty grey eyes that shined in the moon light. "leave us alone" Armin yelled in fear as the girl walked over. "i wont let you touch my friend" eren yelled with anger. "josh leave these boys to me and check out who were after them" the girl spoke and the teen nodded before running of. "wait that voice, come into the light" eren said with wide eyes. "hello Armin, eren been awhile" mikasa said standing in the light and held out her hands helping them both up. "mikasa" Armin smiled and the boys hugged her. "so why are you both here, i thought a rich household took you guys in" mikasa asked as the boys let her go. "we didn't fit in and the family were mean to us so we ran away" Armin said with a frown. "we went to find the family you took you in but the people had no clue who you were or had anyone with you name" eren said looking at mikasa. "because i didn't want to go to a family no would even want me anyways and i got a home here" mikasa said as she sat on a box. 

"but how as soon as the police came they took us to a child home before we could blink" Armin said puzzled. "i told the cops where to go and then i walked away like nothing happened" mikasa said looking at them. "so you left her to live a new life because you knew you be sent back here" eren said with some tears. "its fine i was born here and raised here to i be fine but you guys can still live a good life so go back" mikasa said and stood up. "no we want to stay with you mikasa, we all did something that night" eren cried and hugged mikasa. "let stay a family and live together" Armin cried joining the hug. "fine but you live my new rules and do what i tell you guys" mikasa hissed and took them to her home. 

END OF FLASHBACK.

WITH MIKASA.

"oh mikasa your back" josh said as he past her on the stairs. "josh, wow your grown" mikasa said as they came to stop. "so did you, i got told you got to live a dream" josh smiled. "yeah a fake dream but its over i woken now and I'm me again" mikasa said looking at her feet. "welcome back mikasa, I'm glad you still alive" josh smiled. "thanks man, so what about you" mikasa asked as josh was a true man now. "oh i got an ok job, i work in a pub but i still also do street jobs ya know so i not changed much" josh smiled. "go you, I'm just a body guard with a little street job" mikasa said and joshed smiled at her. "why don't we go for a drink tomorrow and catch up i see you at 8pm at gun pub" josh smiled and ran down the stairs. "he really not changed" mikasa said and walked to her room. "i wonder what happened after we left, i felt bad leaving him behind like i did after all he done" mikasa said and slipped some money into josh door before going to her room.
