A Complicated Relationship: Ch. 11

Eli's Pov:

I tore through the trees, the only thing on my mind was getting to angie. I pray she is alright because I could no longer feel her. It was like she didn't exist anymore. How could that be? It made me push myself harder to see if she was safe but I knew she was in trouble. I stopped quick to catch her sent, seth stood next me as everyone else was panting behind me. Once I caught her sent I noticed it was going the opposite way. Away from her house. I knew it! I thought to myself as I took off in the direction she was going.

"what do you think happened?" Seth ask. I was too determind to catch up with her to answer his question.

A new sent caught my attention when we arrived in a large vegetation of trees. 'A male' my wolf stated. A growl tore from my throat "I'll kill him" I snarled. Seth frowned "kill who?" He asked. I glanced at him before hauling ass to go kill the bastard. "come on!" I told them all. I have never felt such strong feelings like this before, it

was overwhelming. I was on the verge of losing all control over my wolf and I knew if I did he would go on a rampage, destroying everything in his path till he had angie. We were on the border of tanto forest. Weres never passed through these woods. My father had warned the pack about tress passing here. It had an unusual force that kept us at a disadvantage, drained our strengh considerably. If we went in there I don't know how much strengh we would have and if angie was in serious danger that would be a big problem. But nothing could stop me from saving her.

'what do you do when you're at a disadvantage?' My fathers voice all of a sudden echoed in my head. why is his voice suddenly popping up? 'what do you do when you're at a disadvantage boy!' He said again. Memories of when I was little came back. The time I was in the woods he was teaching me a leason about strategies. 'what do you do when you are not at you srongest?' He asked. I thought over everthing he taught me before answering, I didn't want to have to do hour long laps again for answering wrong. ' rely on my pack, sir?' I answered. I closed my eyes waiting for him to yell in disappointment but it never came. Instead I gained praise 'good job son' my eyes were open wide in shock, that was the first. 'the pack is your best bet at accoplishing the mission when it comes to lose of strengh. Combined, your much powerful'

I was brought back to the present when I felt my enery start to decrease as we closed the space between the border of the forest. I turned to face my tired friends. I don't know how much were going to accomplish when their in this condition. We must have traveled a good forty miles, they could bearly stand up, I guess my dads rigorous running punishments came in handy after all. I couldn't delay any long every minute we waisted was putting angie in more danger. Seth came beside me "what now? We can't go in there like this we'll be useless" I rolled my eyes. "yes thank you I know that" my irritaion was growing. "they can't but your still came. You didn't even break a sweat, so we have to work together." I said turning my head to peer at him "you ready" he gave me a determined look and nodded. I faced everyone else "guys wait here we'll be back alright" they all gave me concerned looks. I chuckled "we'll be back don't worry" with that seth and I made our way throught the border.

Instantly my strengh deminished, the air was so constricting, I've never felt so weak. It was a feeling I disliked immensely. I could sence Seth was feeling the effects too. Our movements were much slower. Then angies sent increased ten fold, it wouldn't be that hard to find her now. We ran as fast as are bodys would allow us. Trying to keep what strengh I had left. We spotted a clearing and the sent trail ended here so they were up ahead. I told seth to wait in the trees till I gave him my signal. Coming through the clearing, the moon shone bright giving me a clear view of angie's unconsious body flung over some strange guys shoulder. the sight caused me to shake with rage. How dare he hurt my mate! 'KILL HIM!!!' My wolf screamed. My body moved on its own accord or more liked to his accord but this time I didn't try stopping him. I launched myself at him but before I could make contact he was gone. "well it's not very nice to sneak up on people like that. It's rude." His voice was coming from behind me. How did he get behind me? There was no time for me to land on the ground because I was forced up in the air by a powerful kick in the ribs. It wouldn't have hurt if it weren't for the damn confinedment on my energy. Blocking his attack was impossible.

I hit the ground harder than excpected. Damn! That hurt. He's fast 'ELI!!' Seth's worried voice caught my attention. I quickly got to my feet evading his next attack were there was now a big hole where I had just been. My breathing was labored now. 'eli what are you waiting for finish him off!' There goes my bossy wolf again. 'shut up! If it were possible I would have already' I snapped. He growled 'your not trying hard enough' he was starting to piss me off. I let out a vicious growl mostly from annoyance. I charged him at full speed but stopped short when he held angie in front of himself like a shield. The bastard. He began to laugh "well I should have know. This is yours?" He asked jestering to angie. Gawd she looked so fragile. It made me sick to see her helpless in his grimmy hands. "sorry to tell you this but your mate is of importance and I'm going to have to take her off your hands. So I suggest you back down, trust me you are in no way able to stop me here in this place."

Will he shut up? I was a little impatiant to leave this hellish place and his consistant chatter was getting on my nerves. I wasn't strongh enough but maybe two would surffice. "SETH NOW!!" I charged him again and just as I thought he'd do, he backed up leaving him open for seth who came out of the trees and bit his shoulder. He screamed in pain letting angie go to get seth off him. I took this opportunity and rushed over to her as seth drug him further away. She was still breathing which was a good sigh. I let out a sigh of relief, now its time to finish this ass off. I looked over to my brothers direction he had a dead lock on the guy so I ran towards them to get this over with. When he saw me coming he started to paniced. I could have laughed with that fear in his eyes. He's not so cocky now is he. The thought of getting my revenge was so sweet I had to taste it myself.

I was only a few inches from him when something weird happened. My body went numb. I collapsed on the floor as did seth. I watched the man struggle over to angie his shoulder was covered in blood. Why can't I move? I tried to pick myself off the ground but it was no use my legs were like jello. He wasn't going to get away again. I'd find a way to stop him. He almost made it to her when tyler and the guys came out from the trees and made a protective circle around angie. Relief swept over me thank god for them. They all bared there fangs at him. His back was turned to me so I didn't know if he was scared but god I hope so. If he was, it hadn't last long because soon everyone was on the floor just like seth and I. This can't be. How is he doing this? Wait, he can't be... I lost my train of thought when my wolf spoke. 'Get up' he said sternly. 'ha thats easy for you to say but if you haven't noticed my bodys a little numb at the moment' I responded sarcasticly. 'quit acting weak Eli and get up' geez he's persistant. 'what do you suggest I do? I CAN'T MOVE!!' I told him. 'your mate is in jeopardy and you laying here like dumb ass allowing her to be taken. You are alpha and as alpha you have a duty to protect your mate at all costs. NOW GET UP!!'

He was right I had to protect her. Nothing is going to stand in the way of my saving her. Not this energy sucking forest or this lowly son of a bitch who has signed off his own death when he choose my mate for his own sick plans. I gathered up all I had but it was mostly my determination and my love for my angel that fueled my flame to rise. Slowly I began to stand as I regaind feeling in my legs. My movements caught his attention, when he looked back at me his eyes wide in shock. "Impossible!" he exclaimed. Again a strong wave of numbness hit me but I refused to go down instead I howled and attacked him with all I had. Because of his recent injury from seth he wasn't fast as before so catching him was easy. I bit his arm as hard as I could and rejoiced in the holler of pain. Finally I get pay back! He desperately tried to free himself but I would bite harder. Soon I began shakng my head inflicting more agony. I wanted him to suffer, regret.

My revenge was short lived when I started to feel angie coming back around. The only bad thing about that was she was surrounded by a crap load of werewolf. the man took my minor destraction as an opprotunity to escape. Once he had his arm back he ran to the opposite side of the forest. Just as I was about to follow he was gone. Everything, his body, his sent, his presence, it just vanished. It pissed me off and confused. He will pay dearly for what he has done to her and I will stop at nothing till he is dead, he will never be able to get near her again. But my first priority was angie. I noticed everyone else were starting to stand. I guess since he left, his hold on us was gone as well, I did feel a lot better. Angie moved causing us all to stiffen. This is not how I want her to find out it would make it much harder to except if she was afraid of me. Luckly she only stirred meaning she was asleep. Now it was time to get her home. Placing her on my back we got out of that forest, we were all relieved to be free. I told eveyone to go home as I slowly made my way to angie's house careful not to wake her. She needed her rest, I would give anything to stay with her all night to make sure she was ok but I don't think her brother would like that, whoever he is.
